Daniel Craig’s Bond Rolling Stone Cover
November 13th, 2012 by kpriss
I need to counterbalance the earlier Twilight talk, so I’ll throw a little Bond in the swirl hoping it makes up for the twi – mess.
Daniel Craig covers the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine.Matthew Rolston’s photo is cleverly placed next to this title: ‘The Baddest Bond Ever’. Craig himself recently declared that Rihanna would be a better Bond Girl than Beyonce… Good Bond gone bad, huh?
Would You Pay $480,000 For A Dress Made In 1939?
November 13th, 2012 by kpriss
For a better understanding of the vintage splurge, you should also note that the dress in question was worn by Judy Garland in the 1939 movie, The Wizard of Oz.
Of course, we also need to keep in mind that when it comes to filming movie scenes, several identical costumes are available, just in case, so this is just one of the many identical dresses put together for the occasion.
Another dress, from the same movie, was sold at an auction for $910,000, as reported by BBC news, so this one here was clearly a bargain. I would love to catch a glimpse at movie costumes collectors ‘trophy room’! I can absolutely understand their passion!
Kristen Stewart’s Zuhair Murad See Through Dress, Twilight Breaking Dawn Part Two
November 13th, 2012 by kpriss
Confirming the sheer Red Carpet trend, Kristen Stewart showed up at Twilight Breaking Dawn Part Two premiere (the most expected premiere of the year, at least as far as teens and tweens are concerned) wearing a see through nude gown from Zuhair Murad.
I’m sometimes amazed by her stylist’s choices: there are events where Kristen is simply flawless. When her look matches her personality and the occasion. And then there are outfits like this one right here when I keep thinking what was in her stylist’s head when he or she chose this look for Kristen.
But that’s just me and there’s a good chance you actually like Kristen Stewart’s Twilight premiere sheer dress. Do you? (why?) Not a big fan of her red – dish hair and beauty finish either…
James Bond Yacht From Skyfall Can Be Yours For $14.2 Million
November 12th, 2012 by kpriss
(Why do I feel like I’ve asked you this question before?) Have you seen Skyfall? (if the answer is still ‘no’, you shouldn’t be late in seeing this new 007 movie. It’s great!) There’s a particular Regina yacht in this new James Bond movie. And it can be yours for just $14.2 Million! A real bargain, I hear, for a 56 – meter star – yacht! {hypebeast}
Amanda Seyfried Goes Miserables In Vanity Fair, Vs Magazine
November 12th, 2012 by kpriss
I told you I was going back to Amanda Seyfried and her two magazines stories! It’s all about Les Miserables, don’t you forget that – Anne Hathaway, Amanda… (and who knows what’s next). Taking the cover of Vanity Fair’s UK December 2012, as a classic beauty, flawless, but classic nevertheless. Thus a bit boring; and losing it for Guy Aroch in Vs magazine.
Sure, the Vanity Fair images are fashionable but I realized I like it better when fashion magazines take risks and turn a story on its tail, making it new, breathing new life and new fashion into it, just like the talented Vs people did in Amanda’s case. So how about you? Do you like to play the dangerous fashion game?
Meet Joan Smalls. Via Estee Lauder
November 12th, 2012 by kpriss
It’s been a while since we last talked about Joan Smalls (wink: I’m aware of the VS flame – y incident, but she wasn’t quite herself there). So how about meeting Joan Smalls? Of course I mean virtually! Estee Lauder has worked on a series of videos with their models. Really short clips of makeup happiness. Because in the end, it’s all about your shadow and the mirror, right?
Anne Hathaway’s Les Miserables Vogue US December 2012
November 12th, 2012 by kpriss
Tom Hooper’s Les Misérables is scheduled for Christmas release. This year. This Christmas! And it’s a musical, just in case you were wondering if it won’t be too sad for Christmas. Although singing Victor Hugo’s dramatic novel doesn’t make it any happier.
It was only logical that Vogue US December 2012’ cover story would go to someone from the Miz story. And Amanda Seyfried already had two (- covers, that is – and we’ll get back to that) and I’m certain Anna Wintour had a hard time choosing between Helena Bonham – Carter (also starring in the said movie) and Anne Hathaway. Who also wedded in a semi – secret ceremony little while ago. Yes. Very hard to choose.
Now: about the cover itself: it’s Annie Leibovitz. Classic. Epic. Green. Sad. And to those who might find suitable to complain about the utter sadness of the cover picture – it’s about Les Miserables. What would you expect? The inside pictorial, however, is shinier, happier. Hit the jump and you’ll see for yourself!

Victoria’s Secret, Karlie Kloss Issued Apologies For Native American Headdress
November 12th, 2012 by kpriss
I’m sure you remember Karlie Kloss’ offensive look during the Victoria’s Secret 2012 Fashion Show. First of all, I want to thank everyone who commented on the very sensitive matter, sharing their mind and soul! I feel honored to have been a part of this.
As I hoped, Victoria’s Secret issued a public apology and assured everyone that they will not be including the look in any marketing materials (including broadcast). Karlie herself (although not directly responsible for all this VS mess) took the Twitter way to express her own apologies and support for Victoria’s Secret removal decision. It’s a good way to start a new week by trying to right wrongs!
