A New Week, A New Justin Bieber Tattoo!
January 7th, 2013 by kpriss
Pretty unbelievable, isn’t it? What did the first week of 2013 bring you? I’ll start with love, peace, our kids are finally cold – free (yep, another virus caught up with them just before the Christmas break and wasn’t pretty at all), we met with our friends & family, it was nice & quiet but at the same time really festive.
Now here’s what 2013 brought for Justin Bieber: a new tattoo! Nice, huh? Actually – not that nice, it has the same amateur quality to it, despite being inked by a proper tattoo artist (could be the same as for the other tattoos, it’s pretty much the same style).
Fashionista’s Must Have Lamp: Clothes Hanger Lamp
January 6th, 2013 by kpriss
I keep looking for the perfect lamps for each room in our home for years now. And until I’ll find the right ones, I’m transitioning with some Ikea lampshades. But today I found something that made me reflect on the purpose & shape of a proper lamp. Because inspiration can come from the most unexpected places & things, here’s a glorious clothes hanger lamp!
Forget scarves over lampshades, forget pompoms lampshades or tutu skirts lamps! Take your good ol’ fashioned clothes hanger, hang a shirt on it and there you go: fashionista’s lamp in all its resplendissant (cheap) glory!
Suri Cruise Wears Winter Jacket!
January 6th, 2013 by kpriss
There was a time when I was genuinely worried because I kept seeing little Suri Cruise wearing frilly summer dressed even when it was seriously chilly outside. Those days are long gone as little Suri was just seen out and about with her mom, Katie Holmes, in New York wearing a knee – long quilted winter jacket!
I never thought I’d see this day! Wait, there’s more: she was also wearing a tartan pink winter scarf, pink pants (yes, Suri is wearing pants these days!) and fur lined boots with pink soles! I’m really amazed and happy for the little one!
Claire Danes’ Elle US February 2013, The Awards Season Courtesy
January 6th, 2013 by kpriss
With the Awards Season’s Red Carpet waiting by the door, here’s Homeland’s Claire Danes covering Elle US February 2013. Because, as we all know and agree, Carrie Mathison is one of the most authentic, dramatic characters in Television right now.
Rumor has it that Zero Dark Thirty’s Maya was shaped after Carrie.. I haven’t seen Jessica Chastain’s interpretation of the lead female agent responsible for the Bin Laden operation (in Kathryn Bigelow’s perspective), but all the critics can’t be wrong, can they?
As far as Claire Danes’ Elle‘s cover goes, it’s a Carter Smith classic, all white and simple. Letting the eyes do all the talking. And the Bvlgari watch & bling. Not bad for a $7,000 watch (plus the ginormous bracelets) cover product placement, huh?
Karmen Pedaru Got Married In YSL White Suit
January 5th, 2013 by kpriss
This is last year news (wink) but only broke in news outlet these days. Karmen Pedaru got married, December 14th in Rome! The happy man is her longtime boyfriend, Riccardo Ruini (creative and co – owner of REM creative agency covering luxury perfume & such campaigns for big fashion houses).
Congrats to the happy couple, may they spend a happy eternity together! However, if you look at the pictures below, you’ll notice that Karmen has opted to swim against the wedding dresses courant, opting for a white Yves Saint Laurent suit. She did wore her tux with nothing underneath, so you may say that makes it special… (the story continues right after the jump with more images!)
Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger In The Host, Costumes By Erin Benach
January 5th, 2013 by kpriss
The ink hasn’t properly dried on Twilight’s last installment movie posters and here we are, talking about another movie based on a Stephanie Meyer novel: The Host. I normally wouldn’t have dug into it, being another tween-ish story about love & other teen / tween issues, but I saw the posters.
And they featured Saoirse Ronan. And Diane Kruger. How could I just walk by without inquiring a bit? And guess who else is involved? Erin Benach – sounds familiar? It’s the same Costume Designer who was responsible for Drive (remember Ryan Gosling’s Drive jacket we talked about?). (click through for the goodies!)
Gerard Butler Is L’Uomo Vogue January 2013
January 4th, 2013 by kpriss
Black and white seems to be a trend lately: here’s Gerard Butler covering Vogue’s L’Uomo Vogue January 2013 all suited up and frowned as photographed by Tom Munro in a Giorgio Armani tux going loose.
In black and white, biensur. I know it’s a redundant, rhetorical question, but isn’t it unfair to see how women’s faces keep being smoothened cover after cover while the men keep getting rough – er with every pictorial? Look at Gerard Butler here: all frowned, unshaved? Show me one single woman who would’ve posed like this and made it on the cover of a high profile magazine! (ok, minus the shaving part, I know – but frowning and all) tsss.. I think fashion people want to mess with our beauty priorities!

Arizona Muse’s Haircut, Still Fashionable!
January 4th, 2013 by kpriss
A couple of years have passed since Arizona Muse has become a must in almost every high profile fashion show or ad campaign. And although her boy-ish look and short hair didn’t promise more than a one – season – flavor kind of thing, Arizona is still here. Still going strong. Still wearing her short hair!
And you know when I was intrigued the most about her hair and about what the fashpopulation thinks about hair like that? When I read somewhere some ‘fancy’ line saying that Arizona popped out of nowhere with her mom – hair and why was she stealing all the attention, anyway?
Mom – hair? Mom Hair!? What is that, anyway? Since when is any kind of hair labeled mom – hair? I can only imagine the fashpopulation’s stupefaction when Daria cut her hair into a mom – shaped hair as well!
