Elle Fanning Is Radiant In Vogue US March 2013

Two reasons pointed me towards this story and only one of them is the positive aesthetic of the overall pictorial. I will, however, talk briefly about the facts and the wonders of the Radiant Day story before anything else.
Impeccably photographed by the legendary Norman Jean Roy, Elle Fanning looks amazing in this two – pages spread from the March 2013 issue of Vogue US. Styled by Lawren Howell with hair by Holli Smith, makeup by Ozzy Salvatierra and nails by Emi Kudo, Elle’s look is a perfect balance between dream and reality. And rightfully so since she’s starring as Maleficent’s Princess Aurora: who would ever imagine a rock’n’roll Aurora?
Beyonce Is The Gentlewoman Spring Summer 2013

Now let’s see: we’re 50 something days into 2013 and Beyonce already has three magazines covers under her belt: GQ, Vogue US and now The Gentlewoman Spring Summer 2013.
The first half of 2013 looks under Queen B’s reign. Which is nothing short of amazing news for Beyonce since she’s actually going on tour this year, her new Mrs Carter tour with royal promotional material! After years of Gaga domination, it’s B’s time now, she’ll be selling out stadiums and concerts arenas without even blinking!
Back to Beyonce, The Gentlewoman: the cover (as the entire pictorial accompanying the published story) was shot by Alasdaid McLellan and – although clearly different from her Vogue photo story – only helps us understand that ‘it’s Beyonce’s world and we’re just living in it’, like Anderson Cooper famously said after the Inauguration lip-syncing issue!

7 Wonderful Fall Looks: J.Crew Fall 2013 Collection

More I look through the Fashion Week’s presentations, I feel lucky to find that rare gem I could actually wear, straight from the catwalk into my personal wardrobe’s comfort. Of course, this is my take on fashion: I’m always looking for wearable inspiration.
Hence, the J.Crew collections are true accessibility oasis in the middle of avant-garde catwalks. From J.Crew Fall 2013 Collection I actually retained not 5 but 7 lovely, wonderfully wearable looks for your eyes and wardrobe inspiration!
{1} the oversized blouse & floral pencil skirt: because it’s such a feminine combination and I really love the exaggerated top volume contrasting with the body hugging pencil skirt silhouette! (oh, and please do notice how she clutches onto her bag: anything familiar you might want to acknowledge into a fall 2013 trend?)
Sasha Pivovarova Opened The Proenza Schouler Fall 2013 Fashion Show!

Remember when we were speculating over Sasha’s return for Fashion Week? Well it actually happened! Sasha Pivovarova was seen opening the Proenza Schouler Fall 2013 Collection presentation yesterday, February 13th in New York.
Essentially black and white with gray pigments on the side, the collection was accessorized with kitten heeled shoes and clutches. Much like Sasha’s opening look is anticipating the silhouettes of the entire collection, Proenza Schouler’s looks were on the oversized tops alley and tulip skirt constructions.
Gisele Bundchen Post Baby Bikini Body, Two Months After Giving Birth!

Talking about Vogue reminded me of something particularly interesting I saw the other day while doing my gossip webrounds. Gisele Bundchen was in Hawaii a few days ago and the always – there paparazzi captured her supermodel body on camera for our universal amazement.
It’s been two months since Gisele gave birth to her and husband’s Tom Brady’s second child together (a girl, Vivian Leigh – who joins the couple’s first born, a boy: Benjamin). Three years ago, after giving birth to her son, Gisele covered Vogue’s April issue – just four months after her much buzzed – about home water birth.

This one is for all of you out there who have seriously mixed feelings – to put it mildly – about Helen Mirren’s pink hairdo! Yes, she might have risked her style ratings when she coifed her usually impeccable hair like that for the 2013 BAFTA ceremony, but her Vogue pictorial only hits the right fashion notes!

Now that the shoes are out of the way (for the time being at least), I can finally talk about something else I noticed during the Fall 2013 Fashion Week: the Rodarte Jewelry!
And what a set of jewelry! Barb wire necklaces, barb wire earrings, barb wire bracelets, barb wire headbands, barb wire belts. Anything barb wire jewelry, you’ll find it chez Rodarte! It’s not the Mulleavy’s sisters first foray into the bling field but they sure are the edgiest so far!
