After seeing Kate Moss for Topshop, finding out about Alexander Wang for H&M and Roland Mouret for Banana Republic, how about Freja Beha Erichsen for Zadig & Voltaire?
Before you go arching your eyebrows in a perfect ‘zadig-and-vol-what?’, just think that both Jared Leto and Julianne Hough were reportedly wearing items from Zadig&Voltaire at Coachella last weekend! The new collection which is currently only available on the original French website of the brand, is called ‘Freja meets Zadig & Voltaire’ and counts (so far, at least) 5 pieces!
So not only this marks the second season since Freja is representing for the French label, but also marks a very special relationship between a fashion house and one of its models. What are the items they worked on together:
Kioky jeans jacket
A simple, classic denim jacket with zipper closure and a classic wash, worn out finish for appx $300. Although it may look like your regular $70 Gap denim jacket, you’re paying an extra $230 for the label and some minor tweaks (longer chest pockets seams and zipper closure). Quite the fancy deal (and please note that I’m one of Freja’s biggest admirers.
Freja T Shirt
A black see-through t-shirt with short sleeves and 87 written on the chest for only $160. Also available in a khaki and white, without the front panel writing but with an ‘F’ written on the back.
Beha Bag
A black leather bag for $650 is also part of the Freja Beha Erichsen special capsule collection with Zadig & Voltaire. There’s no special embossed F, but more like personalized rivets as specified in the bag’s description.
However, Freja is not the first model to have ‘designed’ a collection for the French Fashion house. A couple of years back, Erin Wasson also sealed her style into the Zadig & Voltaire label. What’s different now is the charitable dimension to this capsule collection as Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) will receive a considerable amount of the sales profits (40%).

Isn’t it wonderful to know that when you’re splurging for the latest fashion items launched, you also support the economy and an honorable charitable cause?
