It won’t be long before fashion shows will exhibit intimate parts and call it art. Those were the words of my dearest husband no more than two weeks ago when he read one of my postings about a fashion show.
I looked at him and raised my eyebrows “You really think so?”. At the time I wasn’t expecting something like this V cover. Now I’m facing a playboy-like Gisele on V 54 (by Mario Testino) and ask myself if my husband qualifies for fashion guru. Oh well, I guess I’m the lucky one! Now back to Gisele – if she’s posing like that for a fashion magazine, it doesn’t surprise me she tops the best paid models of the world. I just wonder what’s in it for a woman. Speaking for myself – I don’t really see the fashion in those poses. I see the body. I see the skin, of course (who doesn’t? you don’t have to be a fashion guru to accomplish that vision) I even see the pink nails (toe nails matching). Now where’s the style? Where’s la moda?(the pictorial follows right after the jump)

We talked about this some time ago in the context of the French Vogue ‘bad girl’ issue. What is in it fashion wise for us women….well back then I say: nothing fashion wise is in it for us women. And this one….pffff…..I don’t get even started but am glad you brought it up.
Lucky you having your own fashion guru! But he has a good point since I do ask myself for some time now how far they shall go and most off all why?
I thought that they were cover shots for Maxim.
This won’t make straight women buy it. I don’t see anything much fashion-wise in it.
I am not really sure what they or who they are going for? Are they trying to expand their reader, ogler base? Fine, and if that is the case, then when is GQ going to reciprocate for us ladies with an fine looking male model eh? : )
Is this the so called famous wannabe underground, avant garde whatever Visionaire magazine? Good Lawd its so hip its even bringing back Cheesecake! There must be a cunningly thought out twist somewhere in there. A tits and teeth battle with anorexia?
Anyway I don’t find anything in it for a woman.Gisele is gorgeous though but looks like an adolescent boy’s dream. In the 80s.
[…] don’t know about you, but I think it’s a great photo and it almost makes me forget the Gisele cover-disaster. Viktor and Rolf collection has found a brilliant way to integrate in reality through […]
