Since her last Vogue Australia cover, Miranda Kerr has only gone upwards in solidifying her model star status. A super mom, a super entrepreneur and a super model – not to overlook her role as a super wife to Orlando Bloom. Miranda seems to have it all: starting with her perfect dimples down to her impeccable street style everyone’s looking up to.
What I appreciate the most about Miranda, though, beyond everything I wrote above and what you already knew is her perfect sense of balance. She just keeps a wonderful positively balanced perspective on her diet, her body, her work, her life.

You know that Stephanie Meyer’s next adaptation for the big screen is The Host (just in case Stephanie Meyer’s name has a familiar tingling but you can’t quite put your finger on it – she’s the notorious author of the even more notorious Twilight saga!). We talked about it before, when I also mentioned Saoirse Ronan as part of the cast. But I simply couldn’t resist this pink Flare cover of their April 2013 issue!
Diane Kruger, as you know, is one of my favorite characters / models / actresses and for no particular reason – I find myself to be rather subjective on this matter, for as pretty and as fashionable as she may be, her acting credentials are not as think or as impeccable as they should’ve been for me to so blindly support her. Starting a new week with the very first issue of Numero Russia! Featuring the legendary Naomi Campbell on the cover as photographed by Sebastian Kim, this first issue is really promising.
Looking at the black and white pictorial, all I can think of is Kate Moss and her outfit for Carine Roitfeld’s Ball the other week. No pants, just a fancy top to cover her modesty and modestly. But I guess when you have legs like Naomi, wearing bottoms is offensive, not the other way around!

I was talking about designers and my love for show – off designers. Where do they get to practice that rare art of putting on a show outside the catwalk? On the stage, biensur. As such, I’m convinced that fashion designers who unlock a deal with an entertainer also get something else beyond the financial satisfaction of a high profile contract: they get to practice the show art in front of a worldwide audience!
This is the kind of deal going on between Rihanna and Riccardo Tisci as she kicked off her new world tour: the Diamonds World Tour with a spanking new fashionable wardrobe from Givenchy!

It may not be what everyone expects from them – a wedding, that is – but the news headlines still feature Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s names associated with an interesting piece of information about their latest wine ventures!
In short: Angelina and Brad own a French vineyard in a valley next to Chateau Miraval. The produce of that particular vineyard was engaged in business partnership with Marc Perrin, the owner of Chateau de Beaucastel spawning a particular rosé wine called ‘Miraval Rosé 2012’. Only 6,000 bottles were offered for sale at a 105 euros / bottle (apx $137 at current exchange rate) and – guess what? – it all sold out in 3 hours!

Just days ago, I was signaling what seems to be a real trend among our beloved celebrities: the Nike Dunk Sky High print wedge sneakers. Jessica Biel was wearing them while heading home from Paris, for a comfortable flight.
Now here they are again, as worn by Rose McGowan who was sporting a fresh, spring – ready look finished with the above – mentioned urban sneakers. As I’m sure she won’t be the last falling for the new Nike Dunk wedge sneakers, I suggest you hurry in getting your own pair, I’m convinced that everyone will be wearing those by the end of 2013 – and you know I tend to be right about these things!

Talking about music: our dear friend, Ellington, sent me this too – great for words cover a day back and here I am sharing my enthusiasm with you, although I waited for more material to surface, with no luck until now.
Tina Turner, my dahlings, on her first Vogue cover! Vogue Germany brings us ‘Simply the best!’ cover there is! I wonder if this is because she renounced her American citizenship a month or so ago and officially became a Swiss citizen, embracing the country where she’s been living for years with her partner, German music executive Erwin Bach, as her own?
Rhetorical question, of course, as it’s daylight clear that, this undoubtedly beautiful and legendary Tina Turner cover is coated with a serious layer of controversy honey that will sweeten up the newsstand sales!

My dahlings! You’ve known me for so many years! You’ve read me so many times and you played the music I liked so many weekends! I love this friendly feeling – it’s like we knew each other. And yet not so much after all. Right at the fine border between familiarity and mystery, exactly where the fondness turns to curiosity, that’s where I think Lilja is too!
So many times I’ve listened to it (it starts at the 1 minute mark, so feel free to fastforward when you press play), I love it more and more, and I still think there are undiscovered layers to it and peeling further will only take me deeper into likeness. That’s all I can hope and pray for when you’re reading me (wink).
