Eva Mendes Secret Obsession By Calvin Klein
May 27th, 2008 by kpriss
You know we were wondering how the ads will look like (and the perfume smell like) when first hearing that Eva Mendes is the face of the last Calvin Klein perfume.
Well, the print is out. The clip is out, and here we are, still wondering how the clip looks like because it was turned down by TV networks for being to sexy.
Given the explanation for the refusal, that miss Mendes was having a private moment with illicit thoughts I might believe that she’s robbing a bank all naked, wearing Secret Obsession by CK only…
But somehow I don’t think it’s that funny… Anyway, I’m secretly obsessed with Eva’s paycheck for this advertising contract – $5 millions! It really doesn’t surprise me that she’s ready to show/do everything after endorsing that many figures from publicity deals! Have you seen her acting?
UPDATE: I couldn’t keep you asking what was that censored clip about that they just had to pull it off from the TV network. Well, as long as they’ll let it roll on youtube, here it is: (and three more pictures from the print ads. Click thumbnails to enlarge!)

Maria Sharapova Nike And Tiffany Deal
May 27th, 2008 by kpriss
Let’s play a game! I’ll give you some hints and you give me your guess – tennis, gold, dress, jewelry. Got it?
I wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t! I don’t either! The thing is: you take one blonde, tall, tennis player, you design her a $100 Nike dress (not bad, the truth being said!), enhance it with a Tiffany pearl button closure at the back, add $1,150 Tiffany’s Elsa Peretti’s Wave earrings in 18k gold and you got yourself the last deal on the market! Maria Sharapova signed with both Nike and Tiffany for the next two years (covering four Grand Slam Tennis events). What’s next for Maria? Enrique is already taken….

Bond Girl 007 Perfume
May 27th, 2008 by kpriss
After taking the FiFi 2008, the Oscars of Fragrances for the collaboration with Christian Lacroix to the Rouge Perfume, Avon is taking things further on the same road.
The new Bond girl, Gemma Arterton, is the “Company for Women” latest inspiration into creating a Bond Girl 007 Fragrance. Of course marketing has a spooky way of reinventing itself so not only this will be a celeb-inspired-product, but also will take huge percentage of fame from the “Bond” film legend. Wonder what would it smell like? Sweat? Or poison?
UPDATE: Today I came across the official picture of the Bondgirl 007 perfume campaign so I’m adding it below. Not too imaginative, plus the bottle looks questionably appealing for women. What do you say?

Laetitia Casta And Noémie Lenoir Vogue Paris June-July 2008 By Mario Testino
May 27th, 2008 by kpriss
Vogue Paris has a double cover issue for two months. Given it’s about two summer months, I guess even advertisers are in holiday. Thus the two covergirls are, I’m sure accidentally, both, L’Oréal girls: Laetitia Casta and Noémie Lenoir.
Now if we’re to see a dark cover for summer issues, dark and over-makeup-ed models wearing fall-winter clothes (Chanel 08), why not feeding up with all the pictorial?(right after the cover pictures)
Agyness Deyn Mania
May 25th, 2008 by kpriss
For someone who believes topping Kate Moss, Agyness is spreading herself too much. You should take lessons from Kate, dear, talking is the last thing you should do! Your wisdom needs heavy moderation!
I thought featuring in a music video was a passing moment for miss Deyn, something every model should do every now and then. Afterwards the terrifying news that she’s starting her own music band landed and we all asked ourselves if she’s going “Blondie” on us. Anyway, now she’s targeting movies!(maybe after hearing that Burberry dumped her, she’s thinking about really showing herself everywhere)
My Mum loves the fact that I have been immortalized (…) I kind of feel like fish out of water, and I’m finding a big pond to swim in. I just like opening up different channels and keeping myself interested. (…) I have had a few friends that have lost people and you do remember that stuff … emotion memory.
How about an important opening on channel Catwalk after being so deep?

The Dew – Amazing Photo
May 25th, 2008 by kpriss
Some time ago, taking a shower was a rare thing since water was considered harmful. With all things environment considered, I guess we’re headed for the same thing on different basis.
The case is different when talking nature’s creatures. They always enjoy the blissful simple life – a ray of sunlight and a drop of rain. This… is the dew without photoshop.

Lancôme Cabana Bronze With Daria Werbowy
May 25th, 2008 by kpriss
If you believed that the world of celeb-turned-designers couldn’t get any further, you were slightly wrong.
Lancôme and Daria Werbowy worked on a charity project named “Cabana Bronze Collection”. The benefits from the sales will go to the Centro Espacial Vik Muniz, a center dealing with children’s art in Brazil. The collection will “bring a different kind of beauty to people” with the same old tools: Color design Cabana Bronze Compact $43 eye shadow palette, $25 Color Fever Shine lipstick, $23 Le Lipstique stick with brush, $50 Star Bronzer powder face & body, $33 Star Bronzer automatic powder brush. If any spokeface contract could end up in designing own collection, I would give it a try anytime, we’re going to be flooded with pseudo-designer collections anyway!

Dan Flood Photography – Unknown Necklace Needs Identification
May 25th, 2008 by kpriss
I came across this picture today and I liked that necklace so much I had to post it! I’ll need your help on it because I have absolutely no idea where it’s from and even if I won’t get to buy it instantly, at least I’ll know what design stole my heart in an instant.
It’s a picture signed by Dan Flood and I believe it to be for an advertising campaign. Which one?
