Pharell Perspective Chair With Domeau & Pérès
May 29th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s just a matter of time, industrially speaking, until we’ll be over flooded by the rich and famous pretended designers.
This time it’s a recidivist – Pharell loves flirting with design so much that he’s doing home interior now. It’s not a bad thing drenching your music with sexual messages and rhythms, migrating all that and decorating homes with it’s completely another.
In case the picture doesn’t speak for itself, this Perspective chair maid made in collaboration with Domeau & Pérès represents the love between a man and a woman. Clever, isn’t it? Downright from hell, this chair along with another one and a table will form a perspective chair to be shown in the Emmanuel Perrotin Galerie, in Paris from October 21st 2008 until January 10th 2009 and the few colors available will sell in 4 of each only. Hurry up or you’ll miss the interior designer debut of mighty Pharell! (via highsnobiety)

May 29th, 2008 by kpriss
If you’re trendy enough, you’ll know this year it’s time to put your sneakers on! Now you have the chance to wear one of a kind, custom made especially for you Stan Smith Adidas Sneakers.
Having your own print (your special demand) on the sneakers will cost you extra (reaching a maximum $630) but it’s completely worth it to be your own designer! Everybody’s doing it…

Uma Thurman Covers Vogue UK July 2008
May 29th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s actually hard to believe, but down underneath that white shirt and fishnet skirt lays Uma the Legend!
It may sound a cliché, but I was in love with Pulp Fiction. Later on, with Kill Bill I absolutely wanted to see that special something making Uma so Pulp Fiction suited. It wasn’t quite the case but that’s another story altogether. This dusty Vogue UK cover for July (if you’ll see the rest of the pictures posted right after the cover you’ll see what I mean) is marked by one thing and one thing only – AGE (and by that I don’t mean Uma’s 38 years of age).
L’Hélicoptère Par Hermès
May 29th, 2008 by kpriss
L’Hélicoptère Par Hermès is a Eurocopter production and it joins his Versace sky-cousin and his little road-brother, Bugatti Veyron. The first Hermès helicopter was sold to the Falcon Aviation Services from the United Arab Emirates.
The EC135 helicopter has a custom made interior with Hermès handmade calf leather seats, leather trimmed control. Imagine that if you buy one helicopter par Hermès, you get binoculars for a better view in case you’re sick of watching the Hermès canvas surroundings! $1,63 Million Ginza Tanaka Diamond Studded Platinum Handbag
May 28th, 2008 by kpriss
And here I was thinking about a $20,000 car, a only logical update when dealing with a big family and no more free car seat (other than the two front seats) and people make handbags worth a million and a half!
Insanity! A teeny tiny bag designed by Ginza Tanaka and made with 2,182 diamonds (total of 208 carats). Not to mention it looks ugly (if I wouldn’t know better, I’d say it’s a toy bag for little girls to play), what’s the use for this kind of bag? It has the shortest life possible for a respectful socialite – one evening only and then you’re forced to toss it away! Imagine the shame of being caught wearing the same bag!

LL Cool J For Spears Collection
May 28th, 2008 by kpriss
At first he was a singer (ahem rapper). Then an actor (and a mighty amusing one, I dare to say!), a writer (children’s book, workout book and autobiography). Now, naturally, he’s a designer.
LL Cool J (James Todd Smith) is qualified to do women’s clothes (according to his declarations) because he was raised by a matriarch and has a wife and three daughters! Sears Collection with LL addresses young men and young girls, girls and boys retailing from $22 a t-shirt to $50 a jean. This is a normal evolution for Cool J whose men line Todd Smith challenges Sean John’s empire spawned clothes.
The LL Cool J for Sears collection will be promoted in advertorials with LL himself along with his family (wife, son and three daughters). What a family joy! Buy some celeb-designed-clothes and then head back home for an attempt to live the great American Dream! I guess Rachel Bilson and her yellow-scarf-inspired-collection was the everest of fashion inspiration par rapport…

Chasing Star Trails T-Shirt
May 28th, 2008 by kpriss
If you were looking for a special design out of the celeb-turned-designer-sphere, this could be your sure shot at originality!
If you think it’s another one of those flower-power-hippie-ish prints, don’t! It’s authentic star trail (the time lapse paths created by the Earth’s rotation) photography printed with a special technique to make things look more convincing and shiny. It’s not as glitzy as a sequined top, but it surely leaves an impression! Would you wear it? Pair it with what?
Roberto Cavalli’s Philosopher Yacht
May 28th, 2008 by kpriss
About three years ago I had an undeniable passion for everyclothes Cavalli. Since I have tamed myself into appreciating more quiet elegance and more subtle sexyness.
However, taking a respectful distance doesn’t mean I don’t listen to what the man has to say! And especially when he agrees with me! Let’s enjoy a serious dose of Cavalli-wisdom from a recent interview he gave on board of his yacht in Cannes during the Cannes Film Festival (right after the picture):
I love women in all their different incarnations. They are much more intelligent than men. I detest men – dressed or naked – but women… (…) I’m very much against all these celebrities doing diffusion lines. Do I suddenly get up in the morning and say that I am going to start a singing career, with the horrible voice that I have? That’s what these girls do when they show the world how horrible their fashion ranges are. (…) Kate Moss’s collection was badly made, stupid and bland; you see things like that everywhere.
You can’t say I didn’t warn you!
