Handmade Family Pillows To Customize At Will

Handmade by K studio from organically grown hemp with filling of natural feathers and down (14’’, 18’’, 22’’ squares) these Family Pillows are truly funny.

Not to mention no one can pretend they didn’t know it was you pillow! You can choose your own set of characters to customize. I’ll have to hide the colored pencils, who knows, maybe the kids will get artistic on my pillows! Do you prefer colored pillows? Or simple like these ones?

United Colors of Benetton Temporary Mum And Child Store

From the 4th until the end of July, an experimental 16,000 square-foot store will be opened in Milan on Corso Vittorie Emanuele with clothes for newborns, young boys and girls and maternity. It’s the perfect occasion to test the fall winter collection for 2008-2009.

Not to mention there will be a team of hairstylists and a personal shopper to attend customers. So if you’re looking for a place to pamper your kids and shop, go Benetton! I for one am ever grateful when going shopping and having a playroom for the kids…How about your kid/s? they stay put when you’re shopping with them?

Linda Evangelista Vogue Italy June 2008

There’s that nineties air empowering all magazines edits and covers lately. And after last month with Eva Mendes (that I particularly found inappropriate to publish here), this month’s Vogue Italy comes with Linda Evangelista.

Being one of my fav 90s super, I couldn’t overlook her and her pictorial. Called the Duchess and photographed by Steven Meisel, it looks like cut right out of the nineties.

Can’t hold back, even so..

The pictures look sad to me, not to mention that the cover is playful in a wrong kind of way. I know I’m taking things to seriously, but what’s the point in co-starring a dog (or several dogs) for a photo shoot if not to bring out the solitude of the main character?

You look at the pictures and tell me what’s your feeling about this pictorial (click on the thumbnails to enlarge). (photos via tfs)

Why Celebrity Goes Designer

And here I was, day after day, wondering how far and how many more from the celebrity lines will join the designer ranks…

Now I know why there’s hardly a day passing by without a new fragrance by an actor/singer, a new furniture or home decoration signed by a songbird or big/small screen star, and of course, a new line of clothing, a new collection of something signed by one of our beloved celebrities.

Tom Ford Cfda Gala
Here’s Tom Ford’s moment of wisdom without moderation at the CFDA gala where he won the Menswear Award:

“I used to be an actor before I was a designer – I was never a good actor as you saw, which is why I became a fashion designer. But it was fun.”

Sooo, taking things logically – if you’re bad at what you do, forget acting, dancing and singing and go designer! At least you gave it a try!

New Perfume By Queen Latifah

Haven’t you missed a piece of news about another celebrity product? Well, here it is – Queen Latifah’s Perfume. I love her for the fine and cheerful acting she does, but this adds to the celeb-turned-whatever-else list…

She’ll be launching in fall 2009 a personal (whateverrr!) fragrance with the same company (parlux) who’s holding Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson’s perfumes.

Queen Latifah Various ImagesOf course we’re already teased with sweet talk about the future perfume meant to “expresses a woman’s confidence and sensuality; it’s how she embraces her body, her mind and her strength.” (Queen Latifah)
Knowing the Queen, I bet this perfume won’t come in little bottles for she’s no little woman to embrace!
Oh my, we’re in for a treat if she stands up to her word, what do you say?

Another Jeremy Scott Pliage Longchamp Bag

And there goes another print from the Jeremy Scott collection for Longchamp.

The mythical Pliage bag is no longer foot-printed but takes the very exclusive print of a gold card (and sells like always chez Colette for $270). It’s not too bad looking but I’m a simple girl, I prefer the original Pliage bags…What do you say?

Gwyneth Paltrow Covers Harper’s Bazaar July 2008

What’s bright pink, and smiles like on pills? Gwyneth Paltrow on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar July issue.

Joke aside, she looks less plastic than her usual cover-self. Pink dress check, blonde hair check, blue eyes, check. Now all that’s missing is a wide smile, Gwynnie darling, can you pull that one? So we’d have a perfect dumblonde cover? Yeees, that’s a wrap! Thank you, darling, you’re the best! I always asked myself what they’re told to pull an ear-to-ear smile like this one! Any ideas?

Kristin Davis Belk Collection

You know how tricky celebrity can be. One day you have it, the next day you’re the average person walking down the street.

And you also know how being a celebrity can mount to your head and make you believe you can do everything and be anything you want! And so, the common trend amongst celebs is clothing designer. But until now I’ve rarely seen such ambition and such determination like Kristin Davis.

Kristin Davis Belk Collection

Not only she’s launching her apparel collection at Belk, but this line will include sleepwear, activewear, sportswear, belts and handbags, footwear, jewelry and possibly home, maybe expanding into other categories… Kristin Davis, your regular wal mart! Would it be related to the SATC frenzy? Maybe given time, she’ll forget about all that and she’ll wisely choose not to punish us with her collections… Just saying.. praying… Would you pray with me? Or you feel completely overboard about this coming collection?
