Is Your Car Gay?
July 29th, 2008 by kpriss
How about that? I’m puzzled and I wouldn’t want to snap and overreact, but a gay car today, tomorrow we’d be talking gay ovens, gay ipods and who knows what else! Gay-else.
I came across this crazy idea when strolling around the internet and was of course most curious to read more (so you may say the article’s author made his point and got the attention). What’s a gay car? A gay car is a different car. Un-average, un-ordinary, un-conventional, un-dirty. Since being gay is already a fashion and the fashion is very much about being gay-ish, how does this gay-car concept sound to you? In line with the trends? Or simply out of line?

Perfumes – The Guide
July 29th, 2008 by kpriss
You know how I feel about all that gibberish describing a new perfume (or a new cosmetic product in general). This time I finally think I got it!
Perfumes – the guide is what it sais – a guide to perfumeland by Luca Turin and Tania Sanchez. What revolutionized the perfume talk? Internet. All those who interconnect and change info about fragrances, cosmetics, all the beauty-blogosphere (even if there’s a smashing percentage of kissblogosphere in there) changed the way people look at perfumes and especially what they know about them. Do you think a perfume guide is useful? Or your nose is the only perfume guide you need?

The Next Big Jeans – Current Elliot Boyfriend Jeans
July 29th, 2008 by kpriss
I admit I was quite fed up with skinny jeans and was looking forward to fill my wardrobe with wide leg jeans for at least 2 years.
I was mislead into hoping that high about the next jeans trend. The wide leg isn’t all that fuss. The big IT Jean is the Boyfriend jeans. Remember Elliot Jeans we talked about earlier? Well, it’s their Boyfriend Jeans cut that makes the law now! Believe or not, people find this jean amazingly beautiful! In fact they’re a high waisted, heavy washed pair of Levi’s 501 from the 1950s remake, wearing the signature Current/Elliot. What’s there so fancy about these pants? Slouchy is the new it?

No Wedding Bells For Marc Jacobs!
July 29th, 2008 by kpriss
No, no wedding bells because it wasn’t really a wedding. Marc Jacobs and Lorenzo Martone did not marry the proper way (even if they legally could’ve done it).
Or maybe he’s an infinite romantic and wanted a French ceremony.. Because the French, as we all know, are different! They do not marry the gay couples, they pacs them!
It’s a civil solidarity pact bounding the two lovers now. The trick is that the pacs-ed individuals are still considered single from a family point of view. So, technically, Marc is still single!
Do you think that marriage is a must when two people love each other? Or any other civil formality is welcome?

Marqués de Riscal Ciudad Del Vino
July 28th, 2008 by kpriss
Sold in over 70 countries, the Marqués de Riscal white wines are most appreciated and loved in the world of wine.
This time only it’s not the wine that drew my attention. Is the very special project “Ciudat del Vino”, the City of Wine. Located in Elciego, Alava and designed by Frank O. Gehry, the city of wine is a complex of buildings with well established functions: a hotel, a wine spa, a restaurant, a meeting and conference center and a banquet hall (more photos after the jump)
Extraordinary Break Session – Monday Break!
July 28th, 2008 by kpriss
As you may have noticed, this Friday was break-less. I consequently decided, in collaboration with Adriana (thank you!), to bring you a very special Break edition – the Monday Break. This week only!
And because it’s extraordinary, it will be a double break but kinda the same thing altogether. It’s about love. About togetherness. Let us never forget we’re sharing the same home. Hopefully, the Earth won’t betray us one day for being so harsh on each other. Love is All, We All Stay Together! Enjoy! It’s only Monday!
The Golden Eye – 24K Gold Lenses Wayfarers
July 27th, 2008 by kpriss
The timeless Wayfarer just received a golden touch. Hand made frames with gold mirror lenses by Zeiss, this limited edition Wayfarer sounds impressive but doesn’t really touch me.
I’m sure those of you who appreciate this classic frame look in black or white could go with the golden eye also (for $181,65). I wouldn’t. I think they go far better with simple black lenses, blue, tops! How does it look to you?

Dress For Dinner – Formal Napkins
July 27th, 2008 by kpriss
I remember that family dinners were always a curiosity for me when I was a child. First of all because I only saw them in movies, and second of all because I didn’t really understood why people should dress up just to eat in their own home.
However, in time, I decrypted and came to appreciate this very important moment – family dinner. Or any other meal – make it a family moment. It’s such a big deal! As for the dress code for our family dinner is rather casual. But these napkins are really funny and they turn that tie-dinner into a game. I don’t see why stop at men’s attire and not go further with full creativeness into making the napkin something more than disposable paper. Maybe a newspaper-napkin for breakfast? What do you say?
