Keira Knightley Tatler UK September 2008
August 12th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s that time of the month when magazines covers and pictorials come mess up my style karma and allow my ever perfectionist self to fully manifest.
So here’s the perfect example – Keira Knightley. She must have ditched her former agent or stylist or we’re facing a global ice age since she’s not pouting anymore! Since Posh has left the pout arena, and Keira’s not doing hers anymore, we must announce as a 2008 breakthrough! The Pout is Officially Dead! (more pictures after the jump)

Linea Pro Swarovski Crystal C2 Hair Straightener
August 12th, 2008 by kpriss
Like every other device pimped with Swarovski crystal, it doesn’t do much besides its original functions. Oh.. then again, it does weight more due to the overcharge with 2553 crystals.
Regardless of the negative ions and infrared heat that result in a remarkable flattening, I doubt this heavily stoned iron can also curl… Or maybe it does, and in-between the curls you’ll find the crystals from your $600 Corioliss straightener. Would you have someone else straighten your hair or you rather do it yourself? (with or without crystallized flat iron)

Vanessa Paradis Does French Elle August 2008
August 12th, 2008 by kpriss
For some time I was waiting for some relevant Vanessa Paradis photos. Other than Miu Miu engage theme, other than some video of her singing.
Well, it seems Elle August, the French edition made my wishes come true for here’s an endless pictorial of Vanessa: On the road to Paradis. It’s funny, I would never thought Ghesquiere’s Balenciaga Spring Summer creations were so fluid as this cover’s dress made it look. It almost adds a chic touch to the robo-flower-themed collection. Children Can Learn Many Things On The Internet!
August 12th, 2008 by kpriss
Two days have passed and I still can’t get over this campaign. Besides the aesthetics of the idea brilliantly represented with these innocent toys losing their outfit, the campaign is meant to make parents aware of the endless twisted opportunities of the Internet.
I won’t try to make an unnecessary approach with style and fashion related issues, even if I could and intersection points are easy to find, I’ll just stick with the originally intended message: how do you keep your children safe from Internet? And do you think this Internet Group Parental Control campaign could really reach the parents and make them react? (click thumbnails to see larger images)
Kate Moss Interview September 2008
August 12th, 2008 by kpriss
I couldn’t have left Kate behind, couldn’t I? In August she featured in the age-less issue of Vogue US, now she’s gracing the all new Interview’s cover.
Signed by Mert and Marcus, bat-like Kate surely delivers something new for this cover. It could be looked at from a fetishist point of view, but in the spirit of show and everything related, I’ll just be happy for an original Moss. What do you say?

Bill Amber Labyrinth Bag
August 12th, 2008 by kpriss
I came across this bag today and was impressed with the resemblance it bears to one of my dearest handbags. I worn it to exhaustion and seeing this one brings a smile to my face.
It was my perfect summer bag! Imagine it was just like this Labyrinth one, except the interior was made from transparent plastic so I got to carry all kinds of things without losing them on the way, like I would risk losing them in the Labyrinth, so to speak…Did you ever had a perfect summer bag? How is/was it?

Keira Knightley Vogue US September 2008
August 11th, 2008 by kpriss
If you hopes went towards models on Vogue US cover, there you have a little autumnal deception. Anna W just issued the September US Vogue with Keira Knightley on the cover.
Before I’ll get to the actual subject of the cover, I’ll just ask why people are fascinated by Keira? She still looks like a spoiled little girl playing skeletron before our eyes. What’s the worse thing about this cover? Besides Keira? Well, Keira’s hair! Hoping she didn’t wrecked it all pulling a MJ burn, I’ll just assume the hair stylist couldn’t make it to the shooting and that Anna crashed his/hers career for ever and ever. Besides that lovely Balenciaga outfit, the best thing about this September Vogue cover? Keira’s not pouting like she always does! Hurraaaay!!! Now tell me… What’s your story with this cover?(click to see larger image)
Revolutionary Earrings
August 11th, 2008 by kpriss
And it’s not an understatement. World’s most expensive occupation found a jewelry representation with these Toy me Gun Earrings.
Handmade from silver and plated with rhodium, Georgo Philip Pecenikov’s AK47 can hang on your ears for $165. I don’t know if who’s gonna sit next to you in the plane (if you’d wear these) won’t scream with terror, but one thing’s for sure – these earrings will raise pulses and eyebrows. Whether you choose to wear them as a fashion statement or for your amusement, I think it’s war gone too far. I remember a movie I didn’t really understood but also looked at this profitable business (guns et caetera) with raised eyebrows and derision (War Inc.). Why everything seems to be turning around war? Be it at a personal or national scale?
