Julianne Moore In Wonderland…Magazine
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
Two days ago I saw (again) a brilliant movie (if you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing it yet, go look for it full speed!): Children of Men. Julianne Moore and Clive Owen acting brilliantly as usual.
Here’s the auburn lady herself in a gorgeous new spread, all black and white, full of expression, for Wonderland Magazine. Confessing her attraction for dark things and dark stories (all you have to do is think for a minute about the films she did and you’ll be convinced she loves everything noir) she throws a joke, maybe a spoiler for a movie to come:
here was a script I read recently where I was like, “Oooh, this horrible thing happens and it’s really good and then they’re all dead!”
As dark as she will be, I still think she’s a great actress and a gorgeous woman. These black and white pictures stand proof, don’t they? (click thumbnails to see larger images)

The World’s First Gas Station Covered In Fabric
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
What to do with an abandoned gas station? Cover it up with a blanket, that sounds like the most reasonable idea, right?
Artist Jennifer Marsh gathered more than 2,500 students from 29 states and artists from 15 countries for this very special project: cover the 50 years old gas station and dependencies with more than 3,000 crocheted, knitted, stitched or quilted bits and pieces of fabric. Do You Fancy Jessica Simpson?
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
I have some friends that use the word “fancy” in almost every chic-like situation or object, making “fancy” a verbal trend among friends. So, Jessica Simpson’s first fragrance, called “Fancy” made me smile right from the start.
That would not make me love her celebrity-turned-product, however! Presented in a pale pink sheet-wrap, it identically reminded me Paris. Paris La Hilton. Knowing that Fancy comes under the same brand (Parlux) as Paris’ perfumes, the pale pink mystery solved instantly. I wonder if Parlux has some very clear coordinates of working their products like: blonde original or blond related, number of synapses unimportant, of a scandalous environment in a pink presentation. Do you Fancy Jessica’s perfume?

Donna Karan Exclusive Fragrance Collection
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
It’s about the fragrance wardrobe. Donna Karan Collection, a wardrobe of her scents past and present exclusively available at Bergdorf Goodman (and Harrods).
The Collection is composed by best selling Donna Karan‘s smells: Signature, Fuel for Men, Black Cashmere, Chaos, Essence Lavender, Essence Wenge, Essence Labdanum, Essence Jasmine. One on one appointments will be taken to develop “personal fragrance readings”. That means you would be experimenting with images, sounds and colors to find your very own Donna Karan perfume. The Collection will expand from fall with four candles – Chaos, Signature, Wenge and Lavender ($60 each). Being a collection of discontinued lines, this relaunch has created quite a commotion. How did you find your perfect perfume?

Katie Holmes Is Pregnant Again?
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
This is not official and even though speculations have been made from several weeks now, I still ask myself if it’s not just another which hunt…
Nevertheless, I have to admit there are some red alert indicators – like her ditching the skinny and adopting the slouchy boyfriend look, like her constant outing with Suri (with her ever unhappy face, but who cares anymore? Katie middle-name-unhappy Holmes could be preparing another little scientologist). August 11th, the premiere of Tropic Thunder unveiled a weird blue-ish looking Katie. She’s either bad positioned in relation with every camera that took her picture, either pregnant. How does it look like to you?

EBay Wins Against Lancôme
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
It may not look as the most stylish news, but you have to believe me when I say history is growing right before our eyes, let’s be a part of it (or at least let’s be aware of what’s going on).
L’Oréal-owned Lancôme will of course appeal the decision, but for the moment, they lost the case. Their abusive requests (as to bound the sell of more than three perfumes in a month by the same seller and several other claims) have been found irrelevant by a Belgian court since eBay has taken down the contested listings and is willing to cooperate, from its position of passive provider of “host” services.
Do you think these lawsuits are decisive for the future of e-commerce?

4th Penélope & Mónica Cruz For Mango
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
Mango is Cruz-ing for the 4th time. Penélope & Mónica Cruz are the house’s designers for fall-winter 2008 2009 too.
The ad campaign will, of course, feature the two sisters and will be shot by the same Mert and Marcus (just like the others, just like Elizabeth’s Hurley photoshop bikini campaign). What I don’t get, really, is how they come to prepare a collection from now till fall 2008… Do you think they really draw patterns and sketches and get involved in the actual production?

Disney And Swarovski Iriver Mplayer
August 13th, 2008 by kpriss
What does it look like? Like Mikey Mouse’s head jewelry adorned. Like a Kid Robot stones encrusted.
What is it really? It’s an Mp3 player made with Disney to intentionally look like Mikey Mouse. Its ears are the actual controls of the very small spherical player, controlling the volume with one of the ears and moving forward and backward in the playlist. It appears to have no display and it was originally designed without the gems add on. However, bling grows on everything, so even this little Mikey Mouse player has got his Swarovski share. Will this ever end?
