Natalia Vodianova Ad For Jacob & Co
August 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
Runway retired mother of three Natalia Vodianova still gets to features some well placed ad campaigns. Jacob & Co is one of them.
This is Jacob’s Arabovlast ad campaign on the road to prison. And it’s not bad either. Rather old school glamour, Natalia works wonderfully for the King of Bling’s campaign. The colors help too, but I still think she has a special charm that makes her strong and fragile in the same time. Do you miss old school models and classic fashion photography?

People’s Brangelina Twins Fourth Best Seller Ever
August 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
The Twins edition sold in 2,6 million copies. That makes this special edition, the fourth best seller in People’s magazine history.
First one is the 9.11 issue (4,1 million copies), second Princess Di’s death (3 million copies), third JFK’ death (2,8 million copies). That’s not the only record broken – the online people.com 6 million unique visitors in the firs 24 hours of the cover release is by far a spike since people.com registers around 8,8 million visitors monthly. J.Lo, eat your heart out! Is this buzz well deserved or just fabricated like everything else Hollywood?

Dazed and Confused September Fashion Special Issue
August 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
The 165th issue of Dazed and Confused features three girls with a high Miu Miu engage factor. (Have I already told you just how much I find those close to the body spandex suits unfeminine?) It’s like seeing Michael Phelps on high heels…
So it’s fair to say that it’s not a fashion special, it’s an Olympics special Dazed and Confused. Cato van Ee, Kori Richardson, Anna Gushina, Pernille Moeller, Tori Praver look every bit as the awkward as anyone would if wearing those outfits and grace a fashion cover in the same time. Fashionably Gamer : Tiffany & Co. Playing Cards
August 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
For just $30 you can play your own Tiffany & Co cards. I guess it’s just a matter of time until we’ll have (at least the opportunity to have one) the LV playstation or the D & G xbox.
Due to a very smart marketing move, the Audrey Hepburn’s image is associated with Tiffany in my head. More. The image of Audrey smoking. So if they’d issued the playing cards, let there be smoke with a Tiffanny cigarette holder. And let all the profits go to medical researchers. Justice would be served!

Nylon TV Issue September 2008 – 90210 Is Back!
August 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
I guess everyone (and their dog) knows what 90210 was for the world’s teenage population. It was the teen drama par excellence.
In the spirit of reinvention, 90210 gets back on the screen with Donna, Brenda and Kelly from the original series and Nylon Magazine gets an exclusive backstage pass. She who was kicked from the set numerous times, Shannen Doherty has her special continuity role in all this mess (more after the jump)
After the complete dilution of teen soap operas, could this desperate move work? The girls are complete unknown ( Shenae Grimes, Annalynne McCord, Jessica Stroup) )and if we’re to judge after this shooting’s styling, it surely isn’t Gossip Girl. What creeps me the most is the executive director’s point of view:

Jeanne Moreau – Le Tourbillon De La Vie (From Jules Et Jim)
August 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
Every time I hear about the French chic, I can’t help but think it’s long gone and there’s nothing except the legend to carry on a mere name for something once upon a time true.
The moment of the perfect French chic is this. Jeanne Moreau to prove it fully with “Le Tourbillon De La Vie” from the classic François Truffaut’s Jules et Jim. And at the exact flash of thought whispering that the French chic goes only black and white, right after the jump you’ll find Vanessa Paradis singing the same Tourbillon the la Vie at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. And who joins her to sing along this incredibly beautiful song? None the other but Jeanne Moreau. A great moment, two beautiful women in memoriam of the French Chic: Le Tourbillon de la Vie! (and such great lyrics! Thank you so much Adriana for this Friday Break inspiration!) Alors tous deux on est repartis/ Dans le tourbillon de la vie/ On a continue a tourner/ Tous les deux enlacés/ Tous les deux enlacés.

The Gerard Darel Dress: Angelina Jolie Vs Jennifer Garner
August 21st, 2008 by kpriss
Yesterday, a sad news has found its way to the blogosphere – Paul Starr, celebrity makeup artist was found dead. RIP.
What is this has to do with both Angelina and Jennifer? Well, he used to be their makeup artist. And if you thought there may not be any similarities between the two, here’s a little something to meditate about: they both wear the exact same dress, only Angie’s on the purple side and Jennifer on the blue… How about those two? Which is more beautiful? (ahem.. I’m talking about the dresses!) And if curiosity bugs you, right after the jump you’ll find out who got the best of the Gerard Darel dress!
Fashionably Morning With Wake Up Rings
August 21st, 2008 by kpriss
If you thought time will still pass until living in a complete sci fi style, think again! Here’s a reason to enter reality and embrace every fictional detail as such.
A silent alarm clock. What’s that got to do with style and everything related? Well, it could be a clock, but it has two rings attached to it. Two rubber rings without strings or cables that produce a silent alarm (I wonder if it works on electroshock or tingling. No matter what would be the alarm, it snoozes once you move your hand.). Wave your night away! If it was up to you, would you mass-produce this silent alarm clock-rings attached?
