The Gerard Darel Dress: Angelina Jolie Vs Jennifer Garner

Yesterday, a sad news has found its way to the blogosphere – Paul Starr, celebrity makeup artist was found dead. RIP.

What is this has to do with both Angelina and Jennifer? Well, he used to be their makeup artist. And if you thought there may not be any similarities between the two, here’s a little something to meditate about: they both wear the exact same dress, only Angie’s on the purple side and Jennifer on the blue… How about those two? Which is more beautiful? (ahem.. I’m talking about the dresses!) And if curiosity bugs you, right after the jump you’ll find out who got the best of the Gerard Darel dress!

Awww that’s so sweet.Like mother like daughter.I think the dress looks great on all 3 girls tho I have a penchant for Angie’s colour.
Zahara is certainly the winner!

Zahara is the style winner in this contest! She is so cute!
I love both Angelina and Jennifer, but I would have to pick Angelina’s dress as the colour would suit me better! Oh and its a great dress! :)

JG, AJ and Z look great. But, I would want it in purple. JG wore it best cuz Angie arms look weird, but i still love ’em both.

I don’t like this dress at all not in purple nor in blue. I like it on little Zahara though as a sweet short little girlie dress. But Zahara is so cute herself….but its not a ‘safe choice’.
I don’t understand the fuss about this dress? What’s so special about it?

About the sudden unexpected dead of Paul Starr, thats such sad news….just as our designer Percy Irausquin who was found dead last week too. May they rest in peace.

Hi Adriana!Your’e right, there’s nothing really special about this dress. My mother wore similar maxi dresses in the 70s with a floppy hat and wedges.I think what’s attracted attention is the fact that they wore the same dress as silly as that sounds. But kpriss came to the rescue and presented the real reason and winner of this article.Zahara’s so sweet!
I didn’t know who Paul Starr was but may he RIP.

There’s no special fuss about the dress, I think what was certain was that maxi dresses (or tent dresses as some call them) are very fashionable this year. And especially that young mothers to be (from Hollywood) wear them insatiably. Truth being told I have three of them too and find them extremely wearable and comfy whether I’m pregnant or not. Always loved maxi dresses.

I remember seeing Angie with Zahara once carrying the same Valentino purse, Z with her mini model. So there’s a true habit in having mother-daughter outfit connection. (and I’d love to see her doing that with Shiloh too… everyone noticed how she’s been left behind)

Anyway, I love it in purple and I have a similar one that I wear to exhaustion even if it’s not Gerard Darel. ;)

What I like about this dress is that it is very wearable. I love the femininity of it and the comfort level. Just throw it on and go!
I don’t think that Shiloh is purposely left behind or out, what I think it is that Angelina and Brad don’t want to appear to be favouring their biological children over their adopted ones. If you noticed the People magazine cover had Shiloh on the cover and non of the other siblings. Its like they don’t get a look in because they are not blood relatives to Vivienne and Knox.Unlike Tom Cruise who seems to treasure Suri more than Conner and Isabella, and I don’t think its because she is so young. No matter what anyone does you cannot please everyone.

Oh, Kpriss girl this is not personal to you! This dress was all around in the media and I can see the comfort and how nice it must be to wear in warmer climate than wear I live. That’s what I meant about the ‘fuss’. I didn’t even know who Gerard Darel was. I know now. A 70’s copy-cat. So a more affordable dress makes more sense to me than this of course overpriced one. I do own some maxi-dresses/skirts myself too. Not this ‘design’. And yes, when its hot, not very common here anymore the last years, its lovely to wear such a loose dress.

I’ve enough of the Jolie-Pitts and their fuss. Ah, Zahara owns a Valention purse yet? Shhss…if you feel for the poor and neglected show some humility yourself if you ‘preach’ that.
To me the photos with their adopted children seems a bit political correct to me….sorry, there are so many people who work hard in dangerous circumstances, in troubled countries and never being hailed likes these people….I can’t stand it any longer.

Sorry, this was about a dress….I know….
