Peaches Geldof Agent Provocateur Season of the Witch Ad Campaign
September 9th, 2008 by kpriss
I’m puzzled. Wasn’t it supposed to be Alice Dellal, the new Agent Provocateur face for this campaign?
Whatever, I can go with Peaches too. It’s less disastrous (aesthetically… her own life and the issues with her father, Sir Bob Geldof is her problem). The Campaign is called Season of the Witch and is presented (on the website) like an interactive game to save a virgin (or something like that). It’s a submission game where you get to see Daisy Lowe and Peached Geldof in yes-or-no Teenage Dracula meets Blair Witch situations. Childish and unconvincing, the campaign will raise pulses and contradictions. I gather it’s beyond the lingerie issue, and only works on the brand image, but I get the feeling that Agent Provocateur’s campaigns are going more and more for the bloody side of life. Wouldn’t you say?

Sarah Jessica Parker Wears Split Toed Shoes
September 9th, 2008 by kpriss
She’s credited as a very fashion forward person. Some dare to say she’s a style icon. People often confuse Sarah Jessica Parker’s style with her SATC character’s style and everyone supposed she must be as daring as her tv series alias.
Fashion disaster or the next big thing, these shoes look intriguing. I didn’t decided just yet whether I should go and call it a misstep or a daring trend, so you help me – what do you think about Sarah JP split toed pumps? And who makes them? Would you wear them? (or have you? Are they any comfortable?)

Monday Blogaround – Romantic Wear
September 8th, 2008 by kpriss
It seems all weekends come with a story of their own in my family. The other one we lost our breaks, this one, we got a virus invasion.
So I have to delegate your faithful reading to some of my fellow bloggers, as wonderful as they are, with their surprising stories, pieces of heavenly distraction. I hope you enjoy this blog roundup and in the mean time, we’re hitting hard, heavy artillery on the villain virus getting to my family!
I’d like to begin this round up with a vintage ladylike air that fills my lungs with appreciation for some long gone fashion glory era.
…so strikingly different from our ever-so-skinny days gone into the outfits too.
Let me rock this romance out of you with some Union Jack booties.
…or with a healthy Katie Holmes obsession…
On a second thought, I think I’ll get back to romance, at first on the Red Carpet,
and for the grand finale, with a crazy gorgeous ballet outfit. What would be your choice?
Friends Forever?
September 7th, 2008 by kpriss
When I first saw this picture I was simply in awe about the scene. And haven’t changed, even if it’s like the 10th time I see it!
So here’s your easy moment for this weekend, a perfectly tender and out of this world friendship. Besides, that white dove is like a guardian for the little monkey. I don’t know, I may be speculating, but it doesn’t change the beauty of it! So I’ll rest my easy case and let you enjoy this warm scene! (click picture to see larger image)

Marc Jacobs Thinks! About His Thinking!
September 7th, 2008 by kpriss
As years go by, I openly pray that my mind doesn’t go fluttering. It seems inevitable. Or if it does, it better be out of the public eyes and ears.
Marc Jacobs hasn’t said his prayers for a long time now and look what linguistic, etymological and cerebral mess he’s gotten himself into: (it’s a recent interview he gave to the NYer with Robert Duffy, his forever business partner)
The way my mind works is somebody else has got this so down that they don’t make mistakes and their process is so much more linear than mine. I’ll think that, but, at some point, you know what? This is my process and I don’t know how to do it any other way. I’m sure there are people who can’t afford — who don’t have the luxury of being quite as organic as we are.
I read those lines a couple of times and the meaning of it all eludes me. Is it because I’m not that organic as Marc?

Would You Wear A Little Bird Pouch?
September 7th, 2008 by kpriss
I’m always looking for ways to improve certain aspects of my life. Going out and carrying few personal belongings with me would be one. Why? Because I can’t dance properly if I carry a purse in the same time and I still have to have some papers and the phone with me, just in case! (and no, stuffing my husband’s pockets isn’t a great idea!)
So here’s a funny way to carry a little something with you and make it look fresh and funny: the little bird pouch! Not to mention it’s made from re-purposed Wren fabrics, leftovers from the Wren bags, to minimize the waste. You can slip the bird’s tail on your wrist and keep everything that fits into 5.5” x 3.5”. Love it! I imagine it makes a great purse for a little girl too! It’s so colorful and cheerful, wouldn’t you say?
UPDATE: I was recently contacted by Wendren Milford, the owner of Wren Design who was enthusiastic about this article regarding the Bird Pouch. She also asked me to update the news about the adorable Little Bird Pouch pointing towards the shop where you can buy your own.

Sparkle – Swarovski Studded Contact Lenses
September 6th, 2008 by kpriss
I was hoping that the jewelry contact lenses were about to end where they begun. I was sooo wrong! Here’s the perfect way to get yourself a cartoon-eye!
Find a proper Sparkle (the contact lenses with micro-Swarovski crystals on), put it on, (say your prayer before!) and bliiing! Here you have your very own robot eyes to light the night away! These bejeweled lenses were part of a competition called Crystal Vision where they won second place. I imagine they only got second because they took the name of the competition too seriously. Orrr because they didn’t spell the competition’s name in crystals around the lenses… Are these Swarovski Sparkle threatening a market invasion?

Numéro Tokyo October 2008 LV Monogramouflage Mouse Pad
September 6th, 2008 by kpriss
Want to get your hands on the highly coveted Louis Vuitton – Takashi Murakami Monogramouflage? Hurry up, it’s coming with the October Issue of Numéro Tokyo!
Or maybe you’re simply looking forward to get your hands on this glorious Numéro issue featuring Coco Rocha on the cover, looking very ballet-ready (you can see the beautiful cover right after the jump)! The surprising give-away is an October offer only, in November there will be another surprise, by Mastermind Japan and the final giveaway month, December, will have its goodies too. Is this a good idea, to give everyone (well, almost) the occasion to have a piece of Monogramouflage? Or it’s just fashion vulgarization?
