Do You Like Victor Vetterlein’s Crystal Jewerly Case?
October 18th, 2008 by kpriss
Have you ever felt the need to push the market’s boundaries and find the perfect way to wrap a present? I know I did! I wanted my gift wrap to be as special as the gift. But that was mission: impossible in so many ways!
Victor Vetterlein’s G Pod black crystal jewelry case is surprising and unique. A jewelry by itself! It was part of the Swarovski Crystal Vision competition (remember the crystal studded contact lenses? That’s the competition!) and hopefully it’ll be mass produced. Would you consider this kind of jewelry case for a special occasion? (more pictures after the jump) (via)
Questionable Style – Gwyneth Paltrow’s Cropped Pants
October 17th, 2008 by kpriss
The cropped pants are a big style question to me! Worn my share of cropped jeans and pants (knee length) but this pair worn by Gwyneth Paltrow raised my eyebrows.
I love mary janes, comfy and classical. I love a good tailored trench, no matter the color! But the cropped pants with elastic band come from another movie, I’m sure of that! Just recently, Gwyneth launched a fashion-social-live-blog newsletter oriented. Last week’s letter was all about clothes and simple choices. This all black look can also fall into the simple choice category with just one exception – the cropped pants. What’s your take on today’s questionable style? Cast your vote right after the picture! Venus And Serena Williams Fashion Meet Tennis
October 17th, 2008 by kpriss
I love tennis. Especially because I get to play with my husband! I’m not a pro, far from it! But if I enjoy playing tennis, that makes it unimportant. I’m constantly improving (of course, I’m not improving over a good night sleep, I have to play to awake my inner tennis self!) so, one day, I’ll be proudly kicking some fine aces!
Until that day, I’ll steal from the masters! Venus and Serena Williams playing tennis. Together. Not that unusual. But when they’re dressed up and wearing high heels shoes, that makes it rather interesting! The girls were dressed up by Harper’s Bazaar for the November 2008 issue. Versace, Ralph Lauren, Hervé Léger, Sonia Rykiel, Diane Von Furstenberg, Celine, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta dresses with Miu Miu and Jimmy Choo shoes on the tennis court, serving ball after ball with grace and professionalism. Beautiful! I still vote for Hervé Léger but I’d change the shoes! (via harpersbazaar)

Christina Aguilera’s Pucci Kaleidoscope Disaster
October 17th, 2008 by kpriss
I wonder if this girl can get any louder! I was rather impressed with her pre- and during pregnancy retro-glam style, but it’s long gone now.
Christina is going geometrical. With her abruptly coupe fringe and lengths, she goes for a very risky appearance for the ThisDay sponsored event, 14th October, at the UK’s Royal Albert Hall. Tight leather (or leather-like) pants, check! Blonde loks, check! Tons of makeup, check! Ultra high platforms, check! Now let me tell you something about that top – it works for Christina, the attention seeker. But it doesn’t work for an official appearance on the Red Carpet. Even if she tried her best to match the Pucci Kaleidoscope with the YSL purple platforms, something is terribly wrong with this ensemble. (photos via justjared)

Get Your Tartan Sneakers On – Nike Women Blazer Low Tartan Plaid
October 17th, 2008 by kpriss
If you worried that your wardrobe didn’t had enough tartan pieces in it, here’s the good news from Nike: Nike Women Air Max 1 Tartan Plaid Pack!
Beautiful, discreet, the Nike Tartan shoes can instantly turn a dull outdated outfit into a trendy one with just the tartan sneakers! The bad news is that they’re available in Japan for now, as for the rest of the world there’s yet no word about it. Not to mention that it’s a limited edition sneaker. I kinda have a soft spot for these Nike Blazer Tartan already! Would you consider tartan for your sneakers? (via)
Peter Sarstedt – Where Do You Go To (My Lovely) From The Darjeeling Limited
October 17th, 2008 by kpriss
You may be familiar with Darjeeling Limited. If not, I suggest you try a bit of this Wes Anderson’s flavor and see how’s the aftertaste!
To tell you the truth, I couldn’t see the movie when we first put it on. It was beyond boring and rather stupid so we stopped it and moved along to another movie. But after a while, we wanted to finish it so we dug up some huge amounts of patience and endless understanding and pressed play. The result? (we still found it dull and strange but!) This harmless movie has an undeniable charm of its own. Like a dry poetry, you can see it, think about it and suddenly even out all the frequencies of your being in few moments. It all becomes calm. And dry. And poetic. Here’s Peter Sarstedt’s Where Do You Go To (My Lovely) from The Darjeeling Limited. I didn’t like the song either, at first. My husband sent it to me and when I first played the music, it was bugging me. Too slow, too harmonically sung. Now I like it. I press play and repeat. On and on. Enjoy this break!
Lavazza Calendar 2009 By Annie Leibovitz
October 16th, 2008 by kpriss
Calendars have become marketing’s state of the art. And for next year’s Lavazza calendar, Annie Leibovitz was summoned up to bring out every inch of Italianism from Lavazza.
Even if it’s about espresso I still manage to not see the coffee cups held by the photographed girls. It’s great to see that happening, even if it’s just a coffee brand calendar. Photography for the love of photography, art for the love of art by Annie Leibovitz. The cover features Elettra Rosellini but it’s not my favorite picture (maybe this art is above my understanding but what Elettra is wearing and how she even wears herself has nothing artsy or attractive to my eyes). I’d like to decide between the picture with the blue dress entitled Venezia, City of Love or the photo with Fontana di Trevi so I’ll let you choose the most beautiful picture. Chanel Presents The Holidays Makeup Collection
October 16th, 2008 by kpriss
We’re getting closer every day. I think me and my dearest husband we’re more eager than the kids. Because they’re still very young and somewhat clean from all that Christmas frenzy.
But we’re not! I’m not. You’re not! Let’s count down the days until Christmas! Here’s the Holiday Season reminder of the day coming from Chanel : the Holidays makeup collection from Chanel. It’s about glitter and rouge: Poudre Précieuse to sparkle it all, Rouge Allure in nude (even if it looks every inch rouge to me!) and Le Vernis in Haute Chocolat. If I remember this right, this very special nuance of Chanel Vernis was discovered and proposed by a high school girl and has everything to do with real life chocolate. Mind your fingertips!
