Jessica Biel Covers Marie Claire UK In December 2008
October 26th, 2008 by kpriss
Marie Claire goes for a certified value for its December 2008 cover – Jessica Biel. The new Hollywood darling, impossibly fit and so naturally beautiful graces an interesting interview for the UK Magazine.
Talking about her parts in the movies or her relationship with Justin Timberlake isn’t all that intriguing. It’s where she gets down to health, eating and exercising that things get out of hand. She seems to be very afraid of aging and she talks about years going by and stealing her beauty. What has Hollywood done to you, Jess? Since when young women ask themselves if they’d undergo plastic surgery or endure wrinkles at the early age of 26? (via)

Kate Moss In London Sunday Times Style Magazine October 2008
October 25th, 2008 by kpriss
Kate Moss on the cover of a magazine. Nothing new, nothing blue, just a black and white picture by Mert and Marcus.
Word for every fashionista out there: work on that open mouth pose. That pose where you’re trying to show your lips like you were Angelina Jolie and in the same time mimic some words so it’ll all work out naturally for a cheap sidewalk-suited expression! (more after the jump)
Paris Hilton Does Nylon Magazine November 2008
October 25th, 2008 by kpriss
I really felt safe without Paris in fashion magazines! Now here she is at it again, doing only what she knows doing – posing. But why in Nylon Magazine?
I don’t see anything different about her. The same puppy looks, the same uninspired blonde branding herself into forever. And her Paris Hilton presidency parade that went completely viral. It’s like an ode to shallowness. All I see on this cover is Nylon, Paris and a huuuge title crossing the photo “try all you like, it’s all vain and in vain. I’m still there. Everywhere. Get use to it. Grow Paris likeness or you won’t be trendy and fashionable!”. How sad! What a celebrity-overload bitter aftertaste! Is this Nylon’s fashion avant-garde? (photos via tfs)

Angelina Jolie Covers Vanity Fair Italy In October 2008
October 24th, 2008 by kpriss
What would magazine do without movies? Angelina Jolie graces another magazine cover to promote her new movie The Changeling.
This time it’s the Italian Vanity Fair, the October 2008 issue. And because she couldn’t get away with just a pose and “look at me, I’m Angelina Jolie and I play in The Changeling. Watch the movie I play in! For any reason!”, she had to fill in some details about her personal (at least they’re not insulting the readers with the “private” adjective) life. What’s it like to be Angelina? (and have a companion like Brad Pitt and six children?) Well, Angelina (and Brad Pitt) is a passionate airplane pilot, restless world traveler, oh, and a full time mother. And she could end up married with Brad just like Fiona ended up married with Shrek (I wonder who’s Shrek in this tale…). Lovely, isn’t she? By now she managed to set a new standard of motherhood to the world. The Brangelina standard. Still. Who’d be Shrek and who’d be Fiona? (photo via tfs)

Naomi Campbell Covers Numéro 98 Magazine
October 24th, 2008 by kpriss
What’s glittery black and you can see it allover? The YSL high waist pants worn by Naomi Campbell!
Here she goes again on the cover of French Numéro Magazine, no. 98! Blissfully beautiful, Naomi laughs her teeth off and strikes a gorgeous pose for the legendary magazine. The Yves Saint Laurent Pants, however, are her trademark season outfit, seen her with those pants with so many occasions (now I’m sorry I haven’t covered them all so you see I’m right). Kinda like Prada lace for every other magazine, these pants shall see the darkness of her wardrobe. And I shall be relieved when that happens! Have you seen her wearing those pants before? Celine Dion Channels Her Inner Ballerina For Vancouver Concert
October 24th, 2008 by kpriss
Celine unleashes her inner ballerina once again. This time for a stage appearance at a Vancouver concert. (I guess when you have such a strong voice, you’d say to yourself that nobody would mind the shoes, right? riii-ghty!)
I’m a fan of straps shoes, long straps going up on the leg. But these look nothing but outrageous. Not fancy enough to call them fashionable, not extremist enough to call them fetishist, Celine Dion’s straps sandals successfully sail under the Fashion Disaster flag! She chooses her outfits herself? Or is there a stylist to blame for these choices? (photos via dailymail)
Gisele Bündchen Covers US Photo In November-December 2008
October 24th, 2008 by kpriss
Gisele Bündchen covers the US edition of Photo Magazine for the November – December 2008 issue.
Her pose isn’t unusual, there’s not a high percentage of originality in the cover picture and would work amazingly with the Photo usual tone. Too bad it’s a reprint. The original picture covered Marie Claire magazine for some summer issues (after the break you have the French Marie Claire from June 2007 as an example. Notice her hair was significantly shorter on the Marie Claire cover, so I think for this US Photo edition they took the same picture and photoshopped some hair, after all, there’s been a year and a half, she should have longer hair by now, right? Either that, or the French Summer is a time for shorter hair, so chop-chop on Gisele’s long hair) (photos via tfs)
Jungle Book’s Elephants March With Colonel Hathi On Command
October 24th, 2008 by kpriss
This Friday I have a little treat for you! A little scene from the legendary Jungle Book. The Elephants March followed by the one and only elephants crash.
All under the magic command of Colonel Hathi, with the extraordinaire participation of Mowgly. Beautiful march, beautiful song, beautiful scene. One of my favorite moments from this great movie. Wish I could have found the song and post it accordingly. If you happen to find it, let me know! I’ll quickly update! Enjoy the Elephants March from The Jungle Book under Colonel Hathi’s command!
