Louis Vuitton Designed Exclusive iPod Trunk For Karl Lagerfeld
November 25th, 2008 by kpriss
You remember Karl Lagerfeld’s iPod addiction? He admitted being so high on iPods that he has someone on his payroll taking dedicated care of his little music boxes…
You also must remember something else – Marc Jacobs’ pleasure to do handbags for some people he (allegedly) knows/appreciates. You know Marc Jacobs designs for Louis Vuitton. Now you take all these elements, combine them, and you have something completely surprising: Louis Vuitton designs a iPod trunk for Karl Lagerfeld! It’s made of black Taiga leather, it bears KL, the Kaiser’s initials wrote in red on the top, near the handle. The interior is made of red microfiber, with 20 iPod holder, power charge, JBL iPod speakers and woofer holders. (more after the jump)

Madonna’s LV – Further Speculations!
November 24th, 2008 by kpriss
You already know I love playing with Photoshop every now and then. And it’s for a good cause- laughing our hearts out!
Because Photoshop, these days, has a bad name in fashion, I feel obliged to soften it up and present it as a fun tool, not a beauty-tool as some magazines/art, beauty directors are keen on making it look like. Photoshop is fun. Let’s play! My latest addition to the Fun By Photoshop (I’m gonna turn this into a category soon!) was the Madonna in-set for Louis Vuitton. You suspected something was fishy and indeed it was. I’m not playing Photoshop perfection, I want you to see the flaws and feel the fun. As I saw it, I wasn’t the only one! Here’s another LV Madgesty running free around the blogosphere! Which one is your favorite? The Green Hairy LV Fairy? Or Stylefrizz Stylee? (the original right after the jump) (photos via ontdff)

Easy Like Sunset Dinner
November 23rd, 2008 by kpriss
I sometimes wonder where some people find (and buy) time. If there’s a general store for that or if it comes with a winning lottery ticket.
There must be no such thing. It’s all a fantasy. I came to believe that it’s all about priorities. At the end of the day, or simply when there’s time to do so, when I catch my breath, it’s all worth it, every one of the sixty seconds from that magic minute you have just for.. nothing. Well, my minute, today, was spent looking at this picture and filling my lungs with positive feelings. For a great week that’s about to start, I wish you all the very best! (photo via pixdaus)

Vogue Russia 10th Anniversary With Designer Matryoshka Dolls
November 23rd, 2008 by kpriss
30 designers, one anniversary. 30 designers, one legend – the Russian Matryoshka, the Russian Nested doll, was slimmed down and dressed up by Vogue Russia.
Handcrafted and hand painted according to the designers sketches, the 30 Russian Matryoshkas Dolls measure 60x60x60 and they will be auctioned off for charity. I don’t know if the Russian wooden doll was among your favorites interior decoration items (or if you’re a collector), but from a marketing point of view, this move was brilliant! I look forward to the Aliona-Anna war! (oh, and my favorite is the Dries Van Noten Matryoshka! Don’t miss the Prada one! You’ll find it strikingly similar with Linda!) Smart For-Two By Hermès
November 23rd, 2008 by kpriss
I think Hermès is growing attached with the auto industry! They’ve managed to dress up another car’s interior – the Smart For-Two!
Whether it’s Bright Red, Charcoal, Ebony, Fuchsia Pink, Gold, H Red, Indigo, Lime, Orange or Sky Blue, the Smart For-Two by Hermès is a handcrafted masterpiece! The upholstery made from leather and Toile H (a high quality canvas by Hermès) cover all the main features of the car’s interior. Plus – an umbrella, at the back, for rainy but stylish and luxurious days! Why couldn’t they have chosen another color for the exterior? I’m not a fan of white cars… Would Hermès convince you to buy a Smart For-Two? (via)
Would You Wear Hello Puppet Jewelry By Niza Huang?
November 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
Every now and then, I pride myself with finding new and interesting creations, beautiful little things that could set you a part from all others. Because they’re one of a kind.
The same goes for this surprising jewelry from a young (but very talented) designer – Niza Huang and her graduation project called Hello Puppet. I can’t really decide between the lace-y necklaces and the anima-looking puppet, but there’s one thing I sure know – these pieces look fresh but in the same time familiar (to me, this little puppet has a Comedia Dell’Arte light flavor). Blake Lively And Her Vena Cava At CFDA
November 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
I’m not a fan of black dresses at formal events. I think black is overrated and too safe choice for my taste. But doing something brave and un-black was proven wrong so many times that I’m starting to prefer black just to make all the bad fashion nightmare stop!
Blake Lively participated at the 5th CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund earlier this week and she chose a Vena Cava dress for the occasion. I’m not sure if I should go ahead and call it a fashion disaster (which could be if we judge the circumstances) or just ask if she was actually planning a groceries-shopping night out and she accidentally ended up at the Vogue party… So I’m asking you how to deal with this Vena Cava dress for the CFDA – cast vote right after the picture! 125th Chanel Anniversary Equals 5 Euro Gold Coin
November 22nd, 2008 by kpriss
Karl Lagerfeld put his blue suit, his blue gloves, his blue tie and went on a date with the French Culture Minister, Christie Albanel. And all that for a gold coin!
125th years have passed since Coco Chanel first saw the light of day. That calls for a celebration! And for a 5 euro coin! At least it’s made of gold! Karl‘s tie got me (sadly) thinking that the wide tie was back in fashion again! I find it so… silhouette killing! But at least we’ve got a golden Coco Chanel on one side and the quilted 5 euro on the other! So chic! I’m not a coin-admirer myself. My husband has a weakness for sparkling beautiful piece de monnaie from around the world, unique and significant pieces of history. I don’t think the Coco – piece would draw his attention, nevertheless! So let’s get back to the wide tie. It’s officially a comeback? (more pictures after the jump) (photos via)
