I’m not a fan of black dresses at formal events. I think black is overrated and too safe choice for my taste. But doing something brave and un-black was proven wrong so many times that I’m starting to prefer black just to make all the bad fashion nightmare stop!
Blake Lively participated at the 5th CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund earlier this week and she chose a Vena Cava dress for the occasion. I’m not sure if I should go ahead and call it a fashion disaster (which could be if we judge the circumstances) or just ask if she was actually planning a groceries-shopping night out and she accidentally ended up at the Vogue party… So I’m asking you how to deal with this Vena Cava dress for the CFDA – cast vote right after the picture! I think if you’re as attractive as Blake Lively you can get away with anything.
I like the dress a lot but it is not being worn at the right occasion.

First of all, the dress is all wrong, she is going to a bar the first half and yodeling on the second half. The boots?? Ehh, don’t work with this, nor will they work with many other dresses. I prefer the black feathered dress she wore, anyone know whos that from?
