Easy Like Recycling A Can!
November 30th, 2008 by kpriss
I know Easy Like Sunday Morning was about images. Still images. But today I thought I’d change. This Easy Sunday it’s going to be about moving images. A video.
Our friend, Adriana, suggested I should visit a site with interesting subjects about the world, evolution and more. There I found a little something reminding me how important the smallest gesture is for the environment and so I’m sharing it with you. Because we can make a difference, even if we think it’s unnoticeable.

Matthew Williamson Butterfly Scarf As Seen On Robert Downey Jnr
November 29th, 2008 by kpriss
While doing my roundups over the Internet for some serious fashion and style scoops, I found something most confusing.
You already know that the fashion industry would be completely lifeless if it wouldn’t be for our beloved celebrities. Who wears what, how and when are some of the questions every fashionista in the making asks around. Even the average fashion consumer (gossip consumers too) is avid to know the answer to those questions for their upcoming wardrobe investments. Today’s celebrity-wearing-what-case is this Robert Downey Jr scarf. (more after the jump)

Mike Horn And G.H. Mumm Present Dinners Of The Extreme
November 29th, 2008 by kpriss
G.H. Mumm is set to recreate history. The famous champagne brand is part of a very special project: to organize 7 gourmet dinners in the planet’s most exclusive spots! That’s worthy of our Food’n’Style section!
For now, only two dinners have been organized, and that, in some very surprising places: The Sermilik fjord in Greenland (July 8th 2008) and Charcot Bay, an Iceberg in the north of the Antarctic peninsula (October 27th 2008). The dinners are highly organized by most prized chiefs and highly celebrated with G.H. Mumm. The next special location will be announced by the end of the first half of 2009! (more after the jump)
Light Style : Lumen By Adam Franck
November 28th, 2008 by kpriss
You may remember an article I wrote a while back about a series of interesting windows blinds by Elina Aalto. The Better Views blinds are for sale and you can find them chez Iukbox.
That’s where I also scooped these beautiful oil lamps. Shaped like little plant pots with a tree with or without chirping birds on, or simply some flying birds, the Lumen oil lamps by Adam Franck will cast a tree spell on your wall. Maybe there will also be a Christmas edition, with a Christmas Tree or Santa…Wouldn’t that be beautiful? I could use some good old Santa Magic with the kids! Agyness Deyn Loves Studs
November 28th, 2008 by kpriss
Where would Agyness Deyn be while her colleague, Jourdan Dunn, gets the Best Model Award at the British Fashion Awards?
Oh, here she is, waving her magazine for a cab. Aggy, dear, I can totally and completely agree with the British Fashion Awards jury when I see your outfit… Studs are somewhat out of season and even if military style will always pass, you could polish up a bit, it surely won’t hurt! I’m sincerely tired of this scruffy style that makes today’s fashion queens! What do you say? Is this another fashion disaster signed by Agyness Deyn or my scratched eyes from all that studliness don’t see right-fashion no more? (photos via)
Newton Faulkner Gone In The Morning
November 28th, 2008 by kpriss
I know you love music (at least) just as much as I do. And because every Friday’s break doesn’t necessarily have to be related to a movie (and last week it was proven a complete success), here’s Newton Faulker with a song I’ve been obsessing about for few weeks (and my dearest husband too!).
Gone In The Morning has a way of getting stuck in your head, making you sing along. All that and more, while you notice that your day is suddenly brighter and happier. I hope it’ll have the same effect on you! Enjoy Newton Faulkner’s Gone In The Morning!
UPDATE: I thought the lyrics would help you sing along and see the other half (thanks, e.varden!).
Gone in the Morning (lyrics):
Off to the land of sleep every time I go/I’m gonna take my shoes of at the door./I’m gonna go with dreams that will explode. (oowooh)/When the alarm goes off, I just wont know.
Wont you come with me?/Wont you, come with me/Wont you, before they’re
Gone in the morning, I wanna know why/Their gone in the morning, I feel alone when they’re/ Gone in the morning, I wanna know why they’re/Gone in the morning and I…
I’m gonna master all kinds of kung-fu/ I’m gonna live inside a tiny zoo./I’m gonna grow a giant afro (incredible fro)/When the alarm goes off I just wont know.
Wont you come with me?/Wont you, come with me/Wont you, before they’re
Gone in the morning, I wanna know why/Their gone in the morning, I feel alone when they’re/ Gone in the morning, I wanna know why they’re/Gone in the morning and I…
I don’t mind, what’s in store/Make it in my own sweet time/When i go, oh I don’t want to go
Wont you come with me?/Wont you, come with me/Wont you, before they’re
Gone in the morning, I wanna know why/Their gone in the morning, I feel alone when they’re/ Gone in the morning, I wanna know why they’re/Gone in the morning and I…
Gone in the morning, I wanna know why/Their gone in the morning, I feel alone when they’re/ Gone in the morning, I wanna know why they’re/Gone in the morning and I…
Would You Wear Yunju Lee’s Unusual Jewelry?
November 27th, 2008 by kpriss
There’s a golden style rule saying that you have to turn your flaws into advantages. Even when those flaws are nothing but everyday minor accidents, you have to make them work in your fashion favor.
Take for instance a young British designer, Yunju Lee and these most unusual but truly uncommon jewelry pieces – a metal collar with lipstick traces on, ketchup stains brooches, ink stain pin brooches. My favorites are the lipstick collar brooch and the iron ring/brooch. Would you wear one of those? Which? (don’t miss the rest of the pictures, right after the jump!) (yunjulee via highsnobette)
Amanda Lepore’s Amanda Perfume By Christophe Laudamiel
November 27th, 2008 by kpriss
Everyone (and their dog) has a perfume these days. Everyone knows the ways of fashion and beauty industry so today’s news comes as no surprise: Amanda Lepore, the worldwide reputed transsexual has a perfume.
It’s called Amanda, made by Christophe Laudamiel and it can be bought starting December 6th for $950 a piece from the 5,000 existant. Why so overpriced? Because the limited edition fragrance comes in a highly blinged bottle with 1,000 Swarovksi crystals accompanied by a book with Amanda Lepore’s pictures, signed and numbered by her/himself. Did they only manufacture 5,000 pieces of precious Amanda scent because they don’t think it’ll sell? (via, photos via)
