Elizabeth And James Spring 2009
March 14th, 2009 by kpriss
It’s a known fact that the line between sublime and ridiculous is so fine. Playing dress up when you’re growing up is part of life. A true fashionista started her career doing Barbie (or whatever dolls) collections.
Luckily, a serious percentage of safe fashionistas grow up to the level of grown up clothing collections. Not Barbie inspired. Not Barbie wearable (see Beyonce’s last Barbie-mermaid outfit). Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen conduct a fashion brand successfully crossed over to the ridiculous Barbie-ish side of things with this Elizabeth and James Spring 2009 collection. Dimitri From Paris I Am Une Very Stylish Fille
March 14th, 2009 by kpriss
Last week it was all about Blues. Now let’s add some lounge chill to the Friday Break soup! Growing up with the supers, few things coming after rival the feeling, the first chills you got seeing those beautiful, strong, independent women making a statement in fashion.
The supers time was also Dimitri from Paris’ time. He was mixing and matching music for the word’s most famed catwalks (Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel and so on). His James Bond-ish, cartoonish, retro groove was impeccably stylish, patching the time’s sound into a full-flavored Breakfast at Tiffany’s disco-house music.
Today’s Friday Break is about being stylish and groovy, being a girl, Une Very Stylish Girl! (you can read more about the song and Dimitri from Paris right after the jump!)
Would You Wear Green Veranda Eco Designs?
March 12th, 2009 by kpriss
Everything revolving around Green Veranda seems fairy tale-ish! Not only they have the simpler, most efficient slogan I’ve ever heard about, but their products are just great!
“Yesterday’s news is tomorrow’s fashion” ! And that’s not about the Fashion Week season! It’s Green Veranda’s way to encrypt in a marketing savant manner how their work is done: the newspapers they recycle into wearable items! (don’t miss the rest right after the jump!)

Black Nails Still In For 2009!
March 12th, 2009 by kpriss
Not so long ago I thought it was all about bright yellow nails for 2009. I may have jumped to conclusions: it seems the world’s most reputed fashionistas still bid it all on black polish to make the trendiest punk-o-gothic spring appearance!
Heidi Klum took her black lacquered nails (and same gorgeous YLS pumps), her endless legs and fabricated smile to introduce us Barbie’s Volkswagen Beetle, Barbie’s 50th anniversary edition (have you seen that vanity in the back? Insane!). (don’t miss the rest of the pictures right after the jump!)

Fergie’s New Hairdo
March 12th, 2009 by kpriss
Back from her honeymoon, newlywed Fergie is already in the mood for some changes! She reportedly dyed her hair black. She was seen sporting the new dark do for BEP single video. I thought radical changes fall into extreme marriage patching measures… (USMagazine)

Here’s The New Barbie Dream Home!
March 12th, 2009 by kpriss
I struggle hard to part Barbie and fuchsia. But somehow, inexorably, they come together like butter and toast. Barbie goes with pink, pink goes with Barbie (and Betsey Johnson, true!).
Barbie just fêted her 50th Birthday this month (do you imagine the insane amount of plastic interventions she suffered to still look exactly the same she did her first day ever?). To honor this special event, Mattel revealed Barbie’s Malibu Dream House. (don’t miss the rest of the pictures right after the jump!)
Scott Schuman + Garance Doré = LOVE
March 12th, 2009 by kpriss
What’s better than a street style photographer? Two street style photographers! Wrong! Two street style photographers in love! Scott Schuman (yes, The Sartorialist) and Garance Doré (The French Sartorialist, if you prefer) are now officially a couple! I wonder who’ll be taking the pictures at their wedding (if ever!).
