This Summer’s Must Nail Wear: Deborah Lippmann Run The World (Girls) Polish
May 9th, 2013 by kpriss
Are you familiar with Deborah Lippmann’s nail polishes? You should! I remember when I was an OPI-only girl! And one day I decided to open my eyes on the (nails) world and embrace diversity. I was missing out on so much! Deborah Lippmann’s gorgeous shades&great formulations for one!
This summer, these polishes Run The World (Girls)! Sounds familiar? Yes, it references Beyonce’s hit and so much more! The $45 set of 5 demi matte neon finish mini bottles is simply irresistible for summer wear and I could even see myself hold back from glitter for a while just to use these. All of them! Have you ever tried matte polish? It’s highly addictive!
Skinny Healthy Eating: Salad Dressing Revolutionary Tool
May 8th, 2013 by kpriss
It’s that wonderful season again when fresh garden vegetables make it into every meal of the day with their mad scents and crazy beautiful colors and awesomely tasty combinations! I don’t know if I ever told you this before but I’m a salad person. I could eat salad from dusk til dawn and not complain or miss the fries&deep fried chicken flavors. Okay, we also indulge in that kind of fried meals too, but I’m still a salad person 90% of the time.
As such, I keep my dressing all natural, with the mandatory ACV (apple cider vinegar) and extra virgin olive oil (salt and some parmiggiano where applied). But I sometimes stock out of the wonderful acv my Mother makes and just go on fresh lemon juice. Just as good. Almost. Howeverrr! it’s a drag when I have to squeeze that lemon into the salad – I end up with more than just lemon juice.
But look at this lil’ wonder my Adored Husband scooped for me the other day: the Lekue Citrus Sprayer looks like the answer to all my squeezing problems!

Givenchy Very Irresistible Ads: Amanda Seyfried Replaced Liv Tyler
May 8th, 2013 by kpriss
Before the Met madness started, I wanted to discuss something I considered to be a bad marketing move: Givenchy changed their Very Irresistible face and went for Amanda Seyfriend, replacing the ever-so-lovely Liv Tyler. Not that Amanda wouldn’t be lovely, but her magnetism is considerable lower than Liv’s.
I know it’s just marketing and usually the star power is decisive in picking up this or that face (as such, Liv is definitely downrating having starred in less than 5 movies in the last 4 years while Amanda’s cine-star is rising up) but really? Amanda Seyfried? Have you seen her Givenchy Very Irresistible video commercial? It looks insulting! I first thought it was fan made! It’s like a really bad joke! Hit the jump to see what I mean!

May 8th, 2013 by kpriss
By now, every fashion-individual and their respective dogs has seen the pictures, drooled over the dresses and rolled all the Red Carpet of their vivid fashion imagination trying to replicate and emulate the Met Gala’s main highlights.
I wanted to add the final point to this outstanding fashion extravaganza but I wanted you to weigh in as well, crowning my side of the story with your perspective. Because you’re worth it (wink) and because I love discussing fashion with you and Red Carpet gossip is my favorite kind of gossip. Now: about last night! There were many sides to the 2013 Met Gala story, but few really captured the spirit of the evening PUNK: Chaos to Couture.

2013 Met Gala Fashion: Emma Watson Prabal Gurung Cutout Dress
May 6th, 2013 by kpriss
If your idea of punk implies wearing just one earring, usually a spiked one, some randomly cut and poorly fit fabric and pointy shoes, then Emma Watson must’ve been your style hero tonight! Hoping you haven’t forgotten that the 2013 Met Gala prequels the opening of a special exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute: the PUNK: Chaos to Couture themed art collection should include some key punk style pieces that would make you want to live in a style anarchy.
All in elegance and fashion, biensur. Like SJP taught us we could! But oh, Emma! What have you done? Better: what has your stylist done to you? That black cutout dress designed by Prabal Gurung does no justice to Emma, her silhouette or the soiree’s theme.
2013 Met Gala Fashion: Gisele Bundchen Vaccarello Revealing Black Dress
May 6th, 2013 by kpriss
Gisele Bundchen and Anthony Vaccarello look like a match made in fashion heaven. Every daring stitch, every revealing cut work wonders on the World’s highest earning model.
Gisele was one of the many flawless models attending the 2013 Met Gala fancy evening. There was more punk and style in her little black dress than in other’s heavily embroidered&accessorized frocks. As if we didn’t already know that! Year after year, long or short, whatever Gisele is wearing at the Met (or anywhere else for that matter) becomes an instant hit.
2013 Met Gala Fashion: Anne Hathaway Valentino Black Sheer Dress
May 6th, 2013 by kpriss
Actually, when I first saw Anne Hathaway on the 2013 Met Gala Red Carpet, I thought I’ve seen enough to call the high and the low of fashionable appearances tonight. I couldn’t be more wrong as Anne immediately topped my Punk: Chaos to Couture fashion fails.
Wearing a sheer black Valentino dress from the archives of the maison, dated all the way back in 1992, Anne outdone her biggest style failure so far (remember that odd-looking Oscars dress?). I can’t even tell if it’s the gown’s or the hair’s fault, either way, she was a fashion mess at this edition of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala.

2013 Met Gala Stella McCartney Girls: Kristen Stewart, Cameron Diaz
May 6th, 2013 by kpriss
Thinking that Kristen Stewart fronted Balenciaga’s Florabotanica perfume ad campaign would’ve led (every)one to believe that she will be wearing a design from the house of Balenciaga or that at least she’ll accompany its new designer, Alexander Wang. Or, why not, wear something really unique by the designer whose muse she used to be when he was Balenciaga’s creative, Nicholas Ghesquiere.
But no. Kristen Stewart wore a crimson jumpsuit from Stella McCartney for the 2013 Met Gala. Punk? Not much. Odd? Highly!
After all, it’s Kristen Stewart: if she didn’t look odd, it wouldn’t be her. At least she admitted to not being too much of a punk-girl but more of a rock-girl.
