Gabourey Sidibe’s Blue Marchesa Dress For The 2010 Oscars
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
It looks like there was another Marchesa gal attending the 2010 Oscars Ceremony this glorious night! Precious Gabourey Sidibe!
Wearing a blue Marchesa dress with precious detailing on the corset, Gabby’s charm cannot pass unnoticed and therefore I proudly add her to the 2010 Oscars Marchesa fan club! Look at that smile! It could conquer the world, let alone the Oscar jury, right? (click here for the gallery!) (photos via)
Maggie Gyllenhaal In Dries Van Noten Dress For The 2010 Oscars
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Maggie Gyllenhaal’s dress choice for the 2010 Oscars Red Carpet was one of the most daring of the night. However, that doesn’t stop us from seeing that it’s a really beautiful one and Maggie chose wisely!
Magically matching her eyes and also being signed by her de coeur, Dries Van Noten’s Fall 2010 dress (slightly adjusted and customized), Maggie’s dress is my favorite of the night. (Maggie chose Dries Van Noten not just because it’s her favorite designer, but also because her wedding dress was carrying the same signature – and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard was wearing his wedding tux at tonight’s Oscars Ceremony! Ain’t that something?) (click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)

Vera Farmiga And Sandra Bullock In Marchesa Dresses At The 2010 Oscars
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Every now and then there has to be a double-Marchesa for a Red Carpet event. And for the 2010 edition of the Oscars Ceremony we have our double Marchesa with Sandra Bullock and Vera Farmiga.
Quite opposite styles, though both signed by Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, the two dresses don’t do that much justice to the wearers. Yes, I could say that in Vera Farmiga’s case, the complexion, the matching lipstick did a great job in glamouring up her Red Carpet appearance, however, in Sandra Bullock’s case I’m not so sure this is the best she could do. (At least she admitted having chosen the dress because it was her daughter’s favorite!) What say you? (click through to see more images, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)

Zoe Saldana’s Givenchy Dress At The 2010 Oscars
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Now that is one beautiful woman wearing a beautiful dress! I’m not sure what takes my breath away first: the lady or the gown!
Either way, Zoe Saldana’s smile could carry the world, let alone this wonderful Givenchy dress! Walking the 2010 Oscars Red Carpet, Zoe is charming and modest as always. The Givenchy Spring Summer 2010 dress truly brings a fresh air for this edition of the Oscar Awards Ceremony (I though she would wear something Na’vi blue.. Guess I was wrong!) Diane Kruger In Chanel Dress At The 2010 Oscars
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Lovely lady Diane Kruger showed up at the 2010 edition of the Oscars wearing (what else?) a Chanel dress! And she’s wearing it so well!
From the Fall 2009 Couture collection, Diane’s dress compliments her skin tone and her natural elegance, not to mention being outrageously elegant for the Red Carpet. Will she and her Inglorious costars be honored tonight, that’s still a surprise. Let’s cross our fingers for this Chanel beauty! ( more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) Miley Cyrus In Jenny Packham Dress At The 2010 Oscars
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Looking back at last year’s Oscars Red Carpet, Miley has come a long way in terms of dresses. And even if tonight she’s not wearing something over-the-top like her Zuhair Murad from 2009 (since she’s a presenter), Miley Cyrus can’t get far from her glitzy self for the 2010 edition of the Oscars.
Her corset Jenny Packham dress was chosen by Miley because she felt it’s more her. All I can think of is the dress has a D & G aftertaste (plus the Miley trademark sequins). What about you? (oh, and those dark burgundy nails contrasting with the overall delicate look? It’s sooo last season!) (more images right after the jump, click here for the gallery!) (photos via 1, 2)
Chanel Giant Ivory Pearl Black Bow Evening Bag
March 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Having the Oscars perspective narrowing my critical horizon, I find myself mesmerized by this Giant Pearl Bow Pouch from Chanel. An item as falsely precious as the very delicate thing it imitates.
I am a pearls girl, after all, so allow me to stare again and again and ask where in the world I could wear this… hmm. In a strange way it goes perfectly with my black wellies! Oh, if only the Kaiser would hear my blasphemous remarks a l’adresse of this Chanel adorability! He’d be furious and call me a fat mother, stuffing on chips and TV soaps. Oh, well! If that’ll let me wear this $1,000 preciousness on a school run or at the groceries store, whatever pleases the Kaiser! (eBay via 2BD)
I Am Agyness Deyn For Barneys Japan 2010 Clothing Collection
March 5th, 2010 by kpriss
What was I saying a while back? That I was grateful for Agyness Deyn not taking the collections path. Just yet. I was a bit off with that since Agyness was indeed bitten by the designing bug and there it goes: I AM by Agyness Deyn for Barneys Green, the clothing collection for Barneys Japan.
Why she went as far as Japan, it’s still unclear. However, the Barneys Green collection is an eco line with profits going to planting trees in Mongolia. As a matter of fact, today, March 5, 2010 there will be a new Barneys store opening in Kobe and that’s where the above mentioned collection will first be available. After the big opening, Agyness’ collection will be also available in Barneys Shinjuku starting March 13th. Judging by the look of Miss Deyn’s designs, she still has a long way until reaching the Moss-state of design. Wouldn’t you say? (WWD, BJ via TF)
