Every now and then there has to be a double-Marchesa for a Red Carpet event. And for the 2010 edition of the Oscars Ceremony we have our double Marchesa with Sandra Bullock and Vera Farmiga.
Quite opposite styles, though both signed by Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, the two dresses don’t do that much justice to the wearers. Yes, I could say that in Vera Farmiga’s case, the complexion, the matching lipstick did a great job in glamouring up her Red Carpet appearance, however, in Sandra Bullock’s case I’m not so sure this is the best she could do. (At least she admitted having chosen the dress because it was her daughter’s favorite!) What say you? (click through to see more images, click here for the gallery!) (photos via)
Sandra Bullock’s dress is probably one that does not photograph well candidly. I am sure that it is lovelier than what we see in this photo.
Vera Farmiga’s dress looks lovely on her and I like the colour. :)
To be honest about the charming Vera Farmiga? I thought: “Again that origami trick!” I understand it’s mastercraft but it didn’t made my heart beat faster. Sandra neither though, yes Ellington, it looked better to see her move in it than on this photo.
(LOL, it can be fun to watch an award show with the right person and to comment on everything! :D)
the breathtaking marchesa dress was completely wrong for sandra bullock
