Fashion Industry Rumoround
May 3rd, 2010 by kpriss
With the Costume Institute Gala just around the corner, let this be a fashion web-around with goodies all around the Internet! Rumors running down the fashion mill keeping us busy, keeping us guessing. Let’s join the rumors game!
Having seen the latest Louis Vuitton Core Values campaign with three soccer legends, not only we’re curious about how it’s going to end, who’s going to win, but we’re also anxious to know who’ll be next! Well, rumor has it that next to appear before Annie Leibovitz’ lens will be none other than U2’s Bono!
I know summer has just begun and we’re only at June issues, but fashion magazines (and more) already have their September agenda planned! And for Vanity Fair’s September 2010 issue we’re hearing that Lady Gaga is the main candidate! Photographed by Nick Knight, Gaga will try to fit in last year’s big shoes (Michael Jackson and Farah Fawcett).
Rumor has it that Penelope Cruz (no, we still don’t know if she’s pregnant or not, but we’re not at that guessing game right now) was signed in as an ambassador for Lancôme and scenes from an upcoming ad were already shot in Paris by Mario Testino. Time will tell…
Beyonce’s last tour’s costumes were all about Thierry Mugler, some Leger here and Armani there. But those names don’t stand a chance against the rumor stating that for Queen Bees next tour, the costumes will be all designed by Victoria Beckham!
Talking about designing: Dita Von Teese is next on the collection rumor mill! She’s thinking about launching her own label!
Not really fashion but not really speculation either, just to wrap it all in a strange manner: there seems to be a connection between the unemployment rate and the weighing in.

Madonna’s Interview May 2010
May 2nd, 2010 by kpriss
I know, I know! It looks unbelievable! And I know it’s not exactly the best look we could have had, and still, what a wonderful cover with Madonna! Interview May 2010, photographed by Mert and Marcus!
Old Madonna is always a happy sight for sorrowed eyes, overfed with Gaga-esques entertainers and uber photoshopped sticky and sweet Madonna. Oh, those Erotica days! Isn’t she just… Madonna? (via)

Louis Vuitton Journeys Campaign 2010 With Zidane, Pele And Maradona
May 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Louis Vuitton brought together three legends playing the game that made them who they are. Louis Vuitton Journeys organized a baby foot match with Zidane, Maradona and Pele. All that in the name of luxury luggage. Isn’t it something? Especially when there’s Annie Leibovitz right behind the project, as always!
Wait, there’s more! You don’t know who the winner is! (I’d say it’s the one with the LV luggage, but that’s just me) As it’s a match in progress, the winner will only be known on May 10. Plenty of time to think about this new Louis Vuitton Journeys campaign! Who do you think the winner is? (LV via Ykone)
Laetitia Casta Is Brigitte Bardot In Serge Gainsbourg Biopic Movie
May 1st, 2010 by kpriss
Talking about Louis Vuitton’s Fall Winter 2010 collection and Laetitia Casta has brought this piece of news to my mind: Laetitia was chosen (a matter of speaking, I’m sure there were wars involved) to play Brigitte Bardot in a movie called “Serge Gainsbourg, Vie Heroique”.
Yes, it’s about Serge Gainsbourg, and yes, he had an affair with Brigitte Bardot (right before Jane Birkin). And by the looks of it, Laetitia seems pretty involved in the story, doesn’t she? (via)
The Selby’s Converse Jack Purcell Ad Campaign
April 30th, 2010 by kpriss
What day is it today, daaaahlings? My, it’s Converse day, biensur! Then again, every day is Converse day, right?
Here’s what I found out for your Converse pleasure today: the latest ad campaign involving the starry sneakers was shot (and imagined) by Todd Selby! Yes, The Selby was in many, many fancy places to photograph smiling Jack Purcells for your visual pleasure! (click through to discover more from the campaign! Click here for the gallery!)
Courtney Love’s Vanidad, May 2010
April 30th, 2010 by kpriss
In a (desperate) move to catch everyone’s attention (and their respective dogs attention), Courtney Love is pretty friendly with the media. I recently read she stated in a radio interview that Gwen Stefani’s husband, Gavin Rossdale, had a extra marital romantic relationship with Courtney. In the light of recent events, I doubt that hardly worries anyone. Bring on the next Gavin flame!
Getting back to Courtney: what caught my eye from her Vanidad May 2010 feature was the very cover! On Vanidad’s cover, Courtney is wearing that wonderful stripey blazer from Givenchy we’d love to have in our wardrobe too! Styled by Avena Gallagher, photographed by David Roemer, Courtney Love seems to live beyond time and space, without being affected by the passing of years. Do you think that might be because of the Givenchy blazer? (more images right after the jump! Click here for the gallery!) (via)

Emporio Armani And Reebok EA7 Collection 2010
April 29th, 2010 by kpriss
Of course we’re all pro Converse here and we’re enjoying the daily Converse routine. However, it’s good to know what’s happening in the wild, wild world of sneakers for a better appreciation of our one star/all star favoritism.
Emporio Armani has teamed up with Reebok for a special collection: EA7/Reebok. Ready to hit stores this very July 2010, the limited collection wants to offer customers with sportish views the haute couture possibility. There’s more to the collection than the following sport shoes, which in my books, come down as pretty unaesthetic, however I was hoping for Reebok to not jump on the tacky for the sake of couture (ahem profit) bandwagon. What’s that black shoe, there? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? (via)

Models Before The Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2010 Fashion Show. Reality Vs Catwalk
April 29th, 2010 by kpriss
We’re used to seeing them all glamed up looking gorgeously flawless either on the Runway or smiling back at us from the glitzy ad pages of magazines. How many of us, outsiders have had a true peak at what those glam models look like right before their mindsweepingly impressive catwalk shows?
Here’s how! Flawless faces, flawless mugshots of Laetitia Casta, Adriana Lima, Bar Refaeli, Lara Stone, Alessandra Ambrosio, Karolina Kurkova, Noemie Lenoir, Elle MacPherson and more. All those legendary faces looking just as legendary only without the smoke and mirrors of a fashion show (in this case Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2010) and the aftereffects magic of computers. Hit the jump to see how they looked like in the actual Louis Vuitton Fall Winter 2010 collection defile in pictures and video! (photos via 1, 2)
