Madonna’s Lourdes Ciccone Covers Quality Magazine June 2010
June 8th, 2010 by kpriss
We know there’s a collection coming at a store near you, but Lourdes Ciccone (yep, that’s Madonna’s daughter) already has a magazine cover, the first step in building a solid marketing campaign around celebrity related merchandising.
There’s little (literally zero) information whether she posed for the German Quality magazine (though the image looks like borrowed from Lourdes’ social night out with Mamma Madonna – you can see the image right after the jump), but there’s a certain first sign that Lourdes is going high in the industry. She’s got the face and the pedigree to pull it off. Time to step down, eh, your Madgesty? (photos via 1, 2)
Shakira Designed Collection For Mango
June 8th, 2010 by kpriss
Teaming up with Unicef and Mango, Shakira launched a special T-Shirts collection for the giant fashretailer. The special edition is designed around the 2010 World Cup theme and will benefit Shakira’s Barefoot Foundation, helping to provide education for South African children.
Everybody tries to make the best of this World Cup event. If I don’t expect the Vuitton case to show up anytime soon on a store near you, I do expect the new Mango tees flooding the streets. Especially in the concerned countries. Waka Waka This time for Africa are also the chorus lines of Shakira’s World Cup hymn. Pretty wild for my taste. What say you? (photos via)
Natalie Portman For Dior Perfumes
June 8th, 2010 by kpriss
Now the last I saw Natalie Portman, she was up and around wearing a flowery mini dress, a cardi and an iPad. Nothing let you in on what was going to follow. Now I learned that Natalie Portman is the new face of Christian Dior perfumes.
How’s that for a surprise? Sure, it could be just a wild rumor, however, it was officially announced by WWD so that makes it more reliable than anything. I, have to say, though, I wasn’t expecting Natalie Portman rallying in anything fashion. Especially for an ad campaign. Would you have imagined her selling perfume? (via, photo via)

iPhone 4 Is Finally Out. Ad Directed By Andrew Zuckerman!
June 8th, 2010 by kpriss
I guess you knew this was coming… another i-something article. This time it’s not the iPad glorification you’ve been witnessing lately, oh no! It’s the original iPhone adoring time! There’s a new iPhone in town: iPhone 4! And, like Steve Jobs said, “it’s going to change everything.. all over again!”
With a glass screen 30 times harder than plastic and such innovations like the FaceTime, the new iPhone has everything to please. Again. Not to mention that it’s the thinnest smart phone on the planet, 24% thinner than the 3GS – you know, I could go on and on but I wish you’d take a look at the ad they’ve put together for the new iPhone 4 (you can watch it right after the jump). It’s a sweet, warm short movie directed by Andrew Zuckerman (though it was highly speculated that Sam Mendes will direct the new ads) around the new FaceTime feature. And it’s heartmelting! Say it isn’t so! (more details and specifications here)

Summer Outfit Keep It Simple Like Joan Smalls
June 8th, 2010 by kpriss
Now this is my kind of summer attire. No stress, no fuss, no risky color & cut business. Just simple all the way! Sure, this if I can overcome my summer dress addiction!
And if I have a decent tan to sport around, more than my marble white, transparent skin. My perfect summer is made of maxi flowy dresses and short jeans with tees or xlarge hippie blouses. That’s all it takes to nail it right. What’s your perfect summer wardrobe? And how do you find Joan Smalls (a Guatemalan Puerto Rican model running with IMG) – cast your vote right after the photo! How Much Are You Willing To Pay For Your Swimsuit?
June 7th, 2010 by kpriss
I started today, like many of the days before that, convinced that paying more for a swimsuit is really not worth it. I’d rather throw my money on a fancy book than on a $100 piece of fabric.
However, something nearly changed my mind along the way. I was doing some reading on the interwebs of fashion and, season oblige, I went into swimwear. It seems, my darlings, that a swimsuits generally costs around $5 to make. Isn’t that something? We’re genuinely happy when we find a H&M swimsuit at $20-something, congratulating ourselves on the wonderful deal! Now let’s take a moment to think about it. Wouldn’t you pay more for a swimsuit if you knew it wouldn’t bleach, it wouldn’t tear or show more than you want to? (the story continues right after the jump!)
McQueen Alien Shoes As Tattoo
June 7th, 2010 by kpriss
We’ve seen them on the catwalk. They managed to raise our eyebrows pretty high and dream about concealed alien eggs and all sort of creepy things. We’ve seen them in comparison with normal shoes and they confirmed our freight of heights and airport security thorough checkups.
And even though they made a pretty interesting statement, we hardly saw Alexander McQueen Alien shoes turning into tattoos. Why not, after all? They’re as much McQueen as the quilted leather bag is Chanel through and through. So what do you say? Yay or nay? (via, the proud owner of the tattoo is Jordan Reimer)
What’s The Deal With Bryanboy And H & M?
June 7th, 2010 by kpriss
Though nothing has been made public yet (at least not in an expressive enough manner for the rest of us, mere fashmortals, to understand), speculations run high and low about Bryanboy’s affairs with giant fashretailer H & M.
If last week, everyone was amused by Bryanboy’s threesomes doings with Swedish males, this week they’re on to some collection wild rumors. I try hard not to speculate myself, waiting patiently to see just how things will turn after all. Did H & M consider blogging assistance for something specific? Are they really trying to shove us some mean blogg-collection and pretend we’d smile and wag our tails in fash-exultation? (via Bb)
