So This Is Lady Gaga’s Vanity Fair September 2010?
July 30th, 2010 by kpriss
Rumors have been circulating saying that Lady Gaga will be the cover girl for Vanity Fair’s September 2010 issue. Knowing Gaga’s supposedly artsyness and influence of all things shallow in the world, we could have believed the rumors. Or not (hoping that real values can still be brought to life and/or not only dead people make good magazine covers).
However, it seems we could credit those rumors with some serious truth value for there goes Lady Gaga as grey as dead itself on the cover of Vanity Fair. Want to know the best part? The cover lines of the Gaga story say: “Who is she? Why is she? Should you worry?” Now I would have easily understood the titles if this was a discussion about some kind of meteorite, some scientific proof of rare life (flower, animal, whatsoever). But Gaga? Come on, she’s as genuine as “real” orange juice in a supermarket can. If this is the cover of Vanity Fair’s annual style issue, should we worry (for real this time) what is style? Why is style covered by Gaga? (GD via nymag)

Oakley And Staple Sunglasses Collection
July 29th, 2010 by kpriss
If you’re a golf aficionado or a tennis passionate, Oakley’s latest collection with Staple has your name all over it! Six bright pieces with prices from $150 to $250 make a beautiful, sporty, hip collection for your eyes only!
Only two models from the sunglasses collection are now available, the remaining four being released two at the time and celebrating each its own sport. The RazorBlade is coming soon, at the beginning of August 2010 just as the bicycling – fit Jawbone. Next, when September comes Hollbrook and Frogskin will be released as the final addition to the Staple and Oakley collection. I admit having some kind of weakness for the puffy, tennis-ball like frames of the tennis eye shades! Wouldn’t you want to try them on? At least once? (Staple via Tmagazine)
Ivanka Trump’s Shoes Collection
July 29th, 2010 by kpriss
Ivanka Trump has decided she can’t hold it any longer and she’ll be coming at us with a shoes collection. From 75 to 100 models with prices ranging from $80 to $140, the shoes will also be accompanied by a handbags collection. Because we’re so worth it!
Now I just have this tiny, honest question from the bottom of my heart: will the Trump name be enough to sell these ordinary-looking, average styled shoes? Because (in the same honest key), if I have to choose, I’ll be definitely getting some Jessica Simpson shoes instead of these Trumps! How about you? (wwd via ccl)

Kate Moss Leather Bag By Rock Angel Wings
July 29th, 2010 by kpriss
Kate Moss is one to never fade her influence over the fashion/commerce world. Not only her Topshop collection lives a long, successful life, she also added bags to her designer resume by teaming up with Longchamp.
Now it’s yet another bag to line up in her iconic’s name shadow. Signed by Rock Angel Wings, it’s more inspired by Kate than made by her. With an anchor tattoo on the front flapper (Kate’s wrist anchor tattoo, anyone?) and lyrics from the Kills song “Cheap and Cheerful”, this is the first official product celebrating Kate Moss and Jamie Hince style togetherness. So with a satchel normally priced from $925 to $1,125, Rock Angel Wings gives yet more commercial credit to Kate Moss. Is there anything she can’t sell? (via)
More Wedding Dress Inspiration Movies Wedding Dresses
July 29th, 2010 by kpriss
I’m on a wedding – anything spree. It’s beyond the usual bridal season fever, I have to admit. My wedding fever, right now, (blushing) is due to my sister-in-law’s wedding. Yeah, she’s doing it. And we’re all so happy and excited for her (and her husband-to-be), we can’t hide it any longer. See how I come clean before you? Ain’t no other like me!
So in the middle of anything bridal – related in our family, I’m celebrating my own way – by bringing you more wedding inspiration ideas. This time it’s the movies! It’s about a wedding dress exhibition from the National Museum of Costume, Shambellie House New Abbey Dumfries, Scotland. (click through to see the magical costumes!)
Radiance By Britney Spears, The New Perfume
July 29th, 2010 by kpriss
Britney Spears. Such a media magnet for scandal and other unclear unfinished business. Britney grew up in front of us, right under our nose, so we won’t pretend we’re strangers to what happened to/with her in the past few years. Hence I won’t ditch the news of her latest perfume under no pretext.
It’s called Radiance and comes with an interesting tagline “Choose your own destiny”. Whether that is a hidden message for Brit’s father or for the young audience worldwide, I don’t see the “radiance” – reference. Britney herself is looking pretty god-ish and flawless in the ad print (too much lip photoshop plumping, though). I’m guessing that’s the radiance she’s talking about? (it’s either that or her silver-ish bright dress). (photo via)

Dries Van Noten Bags. Men Bags
July 28th, 2010 by kpriss
Yes, you’ve seen me going strong at men with lipstick. However, when it comes to bags, I’ve made no secret of wanting to wear men handbags. They just suit me better (and the un-glam function I usually attribute to my day bag).
So it comes as no surprise (I hope?) when I’ll say that Dries Van Noten’s men bags just moved up, up in my wish list. The way they were presented makes half the charm of the bag, actually! Recently shown in the Men Fashion Month, the Dries Van Noten men bags fill my heart with joy and sartorial ecstasy. Come, come, tear them down for me, I’ll be so happy to save up (theoretically, hypothetically) time and budget energy and scratch these Dries Van Noten bags out of my wishlist! (photos via)
