Tote Of All Totes: Yves Saint Laurent Buckle Vavin Tote
September 6th, 2010 by kpriss
Who said obsessions aren’t good for one’s moral? A serious dose of fash – obsessions can keep you occupied and offer you dream subjects as long as you need to consume it.
My new fashobsession is called YSL Vavin tote. It’s a men bag, from the spring 2008 collection (was $2,295) now available on special request only. But what a gorgeous bag! Regardless my dislike of black bags / dresses / shoes and serious aversion for all things with heavy logos on, this tote makes a pretty exception. Pretty, expensive and hard to find. Still heavenly beautiful, wouldn’t you agree? (JJ via)
New Missoni Converse Sneakers Fall 2010
September 6th, 2010 by kpriss
Missoni must have been receiving good signals for their Converse collaboration for here they are with yet another design for the Fall 2010 season.
If you’re into Converse and would like to give Missoni a chance, here’s what $200 can buy for you: a new pair of Chuck Taylor All Stars with the usual Missoni zig – zag print, few leather details and a seriously autumnal palette of grays. I’m not yet convinced, but I’m working on it! What say you? (hit the jump to see larger images) (via)
Eyelashes For Your Car. Why Not?
September 6th, 2010 by kpriss
When everyone and their respective dogs wears extensions nowadays, fake eyelashes and mirror fake eyelashes (or worse, flies legs eyelashes), why would car lashes sound / look surprising?
A BMW with sparkling liner and lashes around its headlights? Nothing more normal, the prettiest add on by far! Not. I personally think it’s a fun thing, it could do the trick for a girl – car, regardless how strange it actually is. Now if they would have came up with a mascara for those car lashes, I would have looked at things from a completely different perspective, but for now they do represent an interesting idea for some girls I know. And their cars, biensur! Would you use car lashes? Do you know anyone who would? (why?) (Car Lashes via)
Naomi Campbell, Rachel Weisz, Christina Ricci, Eva Mendes For Vs Fall Winter 2010
September 6th, 2010 by kpriss
One of my favorite magazines comes strong for the fall season with no less than four covers. Eva Mendes, Christina Ricci, Naomi Campbell and Rachel Weisz each with her own Vs Magazine Fall Winter 2010 cover.
Everything I was expecting and more, Vs Magazine delivers the same excellence fashion and art alike through four different main pictorials, from Naomi’s minimalism, to Rachel’s mysticism, Christina’s retro noir and Eva’s crazy colorful depression. That and so much more come together in, again, a splendid issue signed by the Vs team. (Eva Mendes was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth, Naomi by Miguel Reveriego, Christina Ricci was photographed by Kayt Jones and Rachel by Eric Gullemain). Sofia Coppola’s New Louis Vuitton Bags Collection
September 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Have you heard Marc Jacobs saying that Sofia Coppola was “a friend” in that Jimmy Fallon video? I did! How wonderful it must be to have your friends working for… ahem with you! Sofia just did another collection of bags for Louis Vuitton and she’s proudly toting the new creations already (expected to hit stores in October this year)!
And what a better luxury product representation than having it capture the flashes of thousands paparazzi cameras? The bag looks pretty normal, without any excess logo-ing or frilly accessories to make it pop. Discrete, I’d say, even to the point of losing brand identity. However, when you see Sofia wearing it, it doesn’t look quite average. (actually forget the bag that actually looks very similar to the one she designed in the past, take a look at Sofia’s wedges and tell me what you think – can anyone identify them? Simply gorgeous! Hit the jump to see more handbags!) (via 1, 2, 3)
Karen Elson’s Harper’s Bazaar UK October 2010
September 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Now that’s a good cover for October! Maybe I just have a thing for redheads? Karen Elson covers the British edition of Harper’s Bazaar, the October 2010 issue. And the word is: flawless.
I was listening to the radio the other day and, guess what? While I was preparing this Karen Elson piece, there was a Karen Elson song on the very radio! How funny is that? It’s now hard to look at this Harper’s Bazaar imagery without hearing Lunasa playing in the background! Do hit the jump, press play and look again at the larger images you’ll find below. Doesn’t it make more sense, all of a sudden? (it also makes a lot more sense than two hundred and something words about how beautiful, stunning et caetera Karen looks through Alexi Lubomirski’s lenses!) (photos HB via)
Matthew McConaughey Is Dolce And Gabbana’s The One Gentleman. Ad Campaign
September 5th, 2010 by kpriss
Has anyone seen anything recent with Matthew McConaughey? A movie, I mean? I’m a simple girl and I love simple romantic comedies. The last I’ve seen from him was that – a romantic comedy with him and Jennifer Garner. Ghosts of girlfriends past, yes, that was it!
Oh, well, he wasn’t such a gentleman in that one. It seems Dolce & Gabbana changed him into “The One Gentleman” for their new fragrance for men. Matthew McConaughey is the new (photoshopped) face for Dolce & Gabbana’s new fragrance for men. The photo was taken by Jean Baptiste Mondino and the campaign will break in October. Couldn’t they have been more smooth on smoothing Matthew’s skin? He looks odd, doesn’t he? The Photoshop One Gentleman, eh? (via)

Dancing In The Movies Scenes Medley
September 5th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s nothing wrong with being magically captivated by dancing scenes from the movies, is there? Because I so am passionate about watching people sing and dance in the movies! Any ideas about why that might be happening?
So here’s this amazing medley of dancing scenes from the movies that’s been making the waves of the interwebs lately. I couldn’t just let it slip, could I? Plus I must have seen it at least a dozen of times! The music is Footloose, Kenny Loggins and the movies… well, pretty much everything (let’s find them all, shall we?
