Anna Wintour, Marc Jacobs On Jimmy Fallon

What would you be willing to do just to get people out shopping (if you were a designer, that is? Fashion’s Night Out, the night you have to go shop, shop shooooop! is just around the corner (September 10th) so, naturally, because she can’t get a magazine cover just to promote that (what am I saying? Of course she can, she can do anything, she’s Anna Wintour!), Anna the great took the Jimmy Fallon Couch with Marc Jacobs to promote the said FNO.

The more I look at videos like this, the more I feel convinced people don’t know what lies behind the Fashion Industry. For real. Questions like “what’s the new black” and “what’s your fall line” when they’re getting ready to present the spring season sound a bit offbeat. Is it worth watching? Yes, it is. Anna is complete socialite and she makes a perfect liaison of fashion’s wide weird world with the current reality and normal people. Doesn’t she?

No she don’t! :))) Some people I know have no clue what I’m “rambling” about at times although they look often great. I still give Axl Rose (whom I despise these days…ugh….) credits for the kilt-plus-high-black-shoes-look take that fashionistas! :P
At last “The September Issue” is on tv tonight. I’m looking very much forward to watch it and I recommended to people with all sorts of arguments to convince them to watch it too…sighs….:)

What makes me laugh about charming Marc Jacobs and his “kilt/skirts” is that my first boyfriend used to wear them before it was considered chic for men. He is now a chef in Chicago with his own restaurant, and I am not sure that he wear his “skirts” anymore but I am sure he has a good laugh when he sees Jacobs in them. :)

You never told that Ellington! We talked many times before about men and kilt/skirts? LOL!

I loved The September Issue. Especially Grace Coddington. What a woman. Awesome! Anna Wintour was less ‘nuclear’ than I thought she would be. The camera showed her age ruthless at moments. The employees could speak far more free than I would have thought. Etc. Great documentary but I wonder how much fun it is for people who have no clue whom all these (for fashion loving people) familiar faces are?
