Anna Sui Spring Summer 2011 Collection
September 22nd, 2010 by kpriss
I’m a dress girl, remember? And anything dress-like melts my heart and fills me with sartorial joy! Anna Sui Spring Summer 2011 collection did just that!
The ethno simplicity and the hippy charm were enough to bring me to a happy place, somewhere countryside where the sun shines bright and puts that gorgeous smile on the models faces! Clearly receiving the same stylists consignment to pick a seventies related theme for the collection, Anna Sui did her best to highlight that and still have fun while doing it. I came across this today and I’m so happy I did since I was looking for a simple, compelling guide to basically retouching your photos using the infamous Photoshop.
This is how it’s done, my daaahlings! There’s no magic wand, just few simple clicks and the smoothing occurs! If you need a cover-ready face and you don’t master the right approach, I’m sure Photoshop will provide the right tools to help your usually gorgeous self get magazine cover ready! Come, come, press play and tell me what you think! (via)

Kitchen Tech Up With The iPad Cutting Board
September 21st, 2010 by kpriss
You saw this one coming? If the real life iPad already found its way into your kitchen, it was only a matter of time until iPad – like objects will come populate your countertops.
This is the iPad Cutting Board. With kitchen inspired icons and a minimalist approach, I’d take this cutting board and replace my overworked old ones any day! That is to compliment the hi tech iPad installation in my kitchen cabinets, biensur. Anyone cares to give an iPad design touch to the good old refrigerator? Let’s call it the new iFashion, what do you think? (MyBrett via hc)
Baptiste Giabiconi’s Showtime
September 21st, 2010 by kpriss
How familiar are you with Daft Punk? Because as of right now I believe Baptiste Giabiconi is one of the Daft Punks!
To paraphrase the presenter of this French TV show : Baptiste Giabiconi is more than just a beautiful, beautiful man. Oh, yes. He’s living his dream. Which is perfectly fine with me. He’s got an album coming up later this year (yes, I’m talking about music) and Showtime is just a sample to get us into the Baptiste groove. Now can someone please explain that Daft Punk sound? He’s on, he’s working with them? After all, nobody has seen their faces until now…(via)
Ladies, Your Knight Is Here To Serve You!
September 20th, 2010 by kpriss
Now some of you may remember that sweet riding knight ring we talked about a while back (we still have no word on who made that little preciousness). So here’s the return of the Knight ready to serve you!
It may look like an ordinary thing to do for a respectable Knight, however, you have to admit the aesthetics of this chevalier and his gesture fall completely in the “adorable” category of any home décor! So I chose not to get all selfish on this and come forth, present it to you! Isn’t he something else? (notice the paper too!) (DT via tDW)
Gabourey, Megan, Lauren, Amanda Cover Elle October 2010
September 20th, 2010 by kpriss
I told you there was going to be more than one magazine outrage of the day, did I not? After seeing a Julianne Moore –like Drew Barrymore on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, let’s get into some Precious Elle time!
Elle Magazine celebrates its 25th anniversary with a multiple covers issue. From Megan Fox to Gabourey Sidibe, Lauren Conrad and Amanda Seyfried, there’s a little something for every taste. However, we wouldn’t have a proper celebration if we were spared of a good Photoshop shower to wake us all up to the harsh commercial reality. Do hit the jump and see what’s all the fuss about!

How About A Library Scented Perfume?
September 20th, 2010 by kpriss
Now I happen to know for a fact that this will please one of our dear friends! Ellington, are you ready? Someone (very passionate, I might add) thought about capturing and encapsulating a library’s odors in a tiny bottle and call it “In The Library”.
While the name may not be as much as a giveaway, the actual words of its creator may speak to your heart:
“There are few things more wonderful than the smell of a much-loved book. Newly printed books certainly smell very different from older ones. Their ink is so crisp though the odor of their paper is so faint. Older books smell riper and often sweeter. Illustrated books have a very different odor from those with straight text and this smell often speaks of their quality. I’ve also noticed that books from different countries and different periods have very individual scents too. These speak not only of their origin, but of their history to this moment. I can distinguish books that were well cared for from those that were neglected.”
We all have our little “book moments” and I sure love the smell of a new book. However, I never really thought someone would go to such extents as to capture it in a fragrance! Magical and scary at the same time (it makes me think about “Perfume”). Would you give it a try? Oh – what’s the smell like? I’ll just let the author describe it best:
“The main note in this scent was copied from one of my favorite novels originally published in 1927. I happened to find a signed first edition in pristine condition many years ago in London. I was more than a little excited because there were only ever a hundred of these in the first place. It had a marvelous warm woody slightly sweet smell and I set about immediately to bottle it.”
In other words: In the Library brings together an English Novel*, Russian & Moroccan Leather Bindings, Worn Cloth and a hint of Wood Polish. (CB via c-c)
Ray Charles Georgia On My Mind
September 20th, 2010 by kpriss
I said Georgia… I remember first hearing this one. I just closed my eyes and felt like floating. I’m no music specialist, I just have this melody – loving ear and a wide heart to embrace many, many styles.
How was your weekend? I really missed you! I hope you had a wonderful time and that the new week is already looking bright ahead! Thank you for being with me, I hope we’ll keep on having a wonderful time together, every single day! Please, give it to Mr Ray Charles: Georgia On My Mind!
