Swimsuit Calendar. Zach Galifianakis Vanity Fair Edition
October 15th, 2010 by kpriss
There’s a new Internet sensation lately that if you haven’t had the pleasure of trying yet, I’ll be more than honored to introduce you to it! It’s called Zach Galifianakis’ Vanity Fair Swimsuit Calendar!
You might not recognize him at first, but when I’ll tell you that he did the Hangover, you’ll identify him right on spot! Zach, yes, the beardy one! He’s the new hot comedy flavor in town (he’s currently filming Hangover 2 so we’ll have the chance to see him pretty soon. Not to mention he did Due Date with Robert Downey Jr. which is set to debut later this month or the next month). Either way, there’s no point for me to comment any further on this matter, or on the actual images of the Swimsuit Calendar! Click through and enjoy the view! (VF)

Marisa Miller From Victoria’s Secret To NFL
October 15th, 2010 by kpriss
Last year, she was announced as being the proud wearer of Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra 2009. This year, Marisa Miller surfaced as the NFL spokesface.
Superfan of the NFL for the 2010 – 2011 season is such a lifelong dream of Marisa’s, you wouldn’t believe it! Seems like the blonde bombshell grew up watching football so this is really a dream came true for her! (come to think about it – watching things on TV is such a strong motivation for whatever occupation lately that makes me proud to having opted out the TV in our household! Take care, TVs are not babysitters, really!) Moral issues aside, Marisa looks gorgeous as ever, too bad for that Fantasy bra! (via)

Anja Rubik, Daria Werbowy Do H & M 2010 Ad Campaign
October 14th, 2010 by kpriss
My oldschool simple girl jumps with joy at the sight of these two lovely young women wearing lovely clothes! Two H & M articles the same day, there’s got to be a serious reason to it, right?
Anja Rubik and Daria Werbowy H & M Get Warm 2010 ad campaign has my heart singing and dancing around the room (my entire body would have normally followed in this joy dance, however, due to that 9th month baby still growing inside of me, I have to sit this one out and trust the mission my heart only. And you – do the joy dance if you can, for me!) Joyful, colorful knitwear, young though timeless designs and prints. It’s nothing new, nothing high fashion but I’m so loving this! I told you H & M were the best, did I not? (via)
Sasha Pivovarova’s Fashionable Balloons
October 14th, 2010 by kpriss
And don’t we all? It’s not Hump day, it’s not even Friday yet (though we’re just one day away from the beginning of yet another wonderful weekend), however, I’d like you to take a moment and reflect at what keeps you from buying a handful of colored balloons and walk the streets like that?
You need a special occasion? You make the special occasion! You Are the special occasion! Look at Sasha Pivovarova here and her joyful jumping with those wonderful candy colored balloons! It reminds me of Up (which I hope you did watch until now – if not please remedy that asap!) and also makes me think there’s nothing easier than smiling and bringing a smile on other people’s faces! A smile can make the world go round! (altamira)

Lenny Kravitz Tropicalismo Wallpaper With Flavor Paper
October 14th, 2010 by kpriss
Do you still take wallpaper seriously? I tried hard not to! Seems that wallpaper is a serious design thing. Having troubles believing that? Then imagine that even Lenny Kravitz is on to the wallpaper trail!
He’s got a new collection worked out with Flavor Paper, called Tropicalismo, vibrant color and pattern variations “…beautiful, rhythmic and sexy, like the people of Brazil”. If I was to judge on Lenny’s latest appearance, his trendy egdy-ness would be a bit too much for my oldschool, simple girl tastes. However, Lenny is serious about his interior design thing, having created “Kravitz Design” in 2003 and working his hand on hotel spaces besides his personal properties. Now whether he actually does this himself or, just like Christian Audigier, calls in the specialists to do it, we might not ever find out. However, getting back to Tropicalismo: would it work chez vous?
H & M Loves Lanvin. So Does Natasha Poly
October 14th, 2010 by kpriss
I grew out of fast fashion designers collection. Luckily, H & M reminded me why the aura and the magic around haute fashion designers getting down their precious thrones and foraying into affordable street fashion!
There’s nothing quite like building the suspense and the tension before the launch of this winter’s special Lanvin for H & M collection, bonus a Natasha Poly interview! Nothing except all those others H & M designers collaborations which were given the same treatment: building fashion like a Hollywood movie will definitely work in our modern society. Look at this new teaser from the Swedish textile giant and you’ll understand just why they’re the best at what they’re doing. Because they are, you know that, don’t you? (via)
What To Do With Old Zippers?
October 14th, 2010 by kpriss
Decorate a jar with them! Look how great they could make a simple jar look! The handy work of Amalia Versaci (funny, eh?), the vintage zippers jars or vases could be a great addition to any décor. Funny and colorful, Amalia Versaci’s designs blend together that vintage trophy search I was talking about earlier this week and the eye of an artist for Amalia is an artist and a designer looking for innovative ways to bend the unconventional into her work.
I may be loving the zipper jars and vases, however, Amalia’s work is not bound to those. She even makes zipper keys earrings, zipper keys necklaces, bracelets and many more. Her creativity can only be limited by the wearer’s courage. So it’s maybe not a straight dare to wear moment, but it has its applications! Would you wear zipper – anything? How about those lovely jars, then? (Amalia Versaci via)
