H & M Launches First Blogger Collection Elin Kling For H & M

Every passing day I learn something new about fashion, about the fashinterwebs. Today’s lesson was kindly brought by H & M and their latest collection / collaboration: Elin Kling for H & M.

Some of you may be familiar with Elin, I was not. So, after doing a little reading, I found out she’s a highly esteemed fashion blogger who took it up the next level by working in the Swedish Television, participating in TV shows (Dancing with the Stars) besides being a fashion editor at a reputed Swedish daily newspaper (Expressen). She now has her own fashion magazine (Styleby) and a H & M collection that’ll hit stores in February (only in Sweden).

It’s a simple collection, with a basic palette and few essentials. There’s nothing that enchants my eye in particular. How about your fasheye? Seen anything that’ll make you want to go to Sweden in February? (Elin Kling via)

Ricky Martin The Best Thing About Me Is You

Halfway through the week, we have to take a moment and celebrate. Happy Hump Day, everyone! I’m still daydreaming as earlier, nothing changed, my laptop hasn’t found the (short) way out through the window. Yet!

However, to celebrate this there’s this viral video from Ricky Martin. Yes, that Ricky. The best thing about me is you / Lo mejor de mi vida eres tu. Critics have already blasted it, I think above it (yes, I can listen to Antony and the Johnsons and Ricky Martin, that’s what’s best about wide horizons) so I’m giving you the same advice: look beyond Ricky, celebrate the beauty of diversity from his video!

Natalie Portman’s Miss Dior Cherie Ad Is Out

And yes, we’re still talking about her print ad for Miss Dior Cherie perfume, not the video version, directed by Sofia Coppola.

We’ve seen a blurry image before, but here she is, in clear, looking lovely and radiant (even without that mythical pregnancy glow). Natalie Portman is a uniquely natural and Harvard graduate Hollywood phenomenon. Talented and smart, she keeps her feet on the ground and chooses her roles carefully. On a side note – this campaign print proves, once and for all, that the headband is the new dress. Right? riiight! (photo via)

Daria Werbowy For Celine Spring Summer 2011 Ad Campaign

Hello everyone! How was your week up until now? We’re halfway through and my beloved computer is still at the “brick” level (brick, for a laptop, is, as my Amazing Adored Husband taught me, when there’s just the case left, no actual, physical hard disk drive inside. And that, my lovelies, it what happens to my laptop, day in, day out. Yesterday we had mounted everything, it all looked great and felt good – you could have see that in my posting vibe. Today? well, suffice to say I’m back on my Adored Husband’s computer, looking at my laptop and wishing it would get over the brick phase.)

Pretty long introduction. But I wanted to keep you posted with my tech troubles and also to get you in my daydreaming mood. Whether you’re waiting for something or dreaming of hot summer days (I am, I look at my summer dresses all cramped up in the closet waiting to get out).

This ad campaign from the house of Celine starring Daria Werbowy and a skateboard fills just that daydreaming space I was mentioning above. Photographer: Juergen Teller. What are you daydreaming of? (via)

Freja Beha Erichsen’s Jewerly Campaigns – Smiling Bright

Now I know why Freja didn’t smile before! Because she wasn’t doing a jewelry ad! Just look at the girl doing the Harry Winston campaign as well as the Georg Jensen Spring Summer 2011 campaign!

The girl has this androgynous look that seems to be the new blond right now. However, behind all those layers of androgyny lays a wonderful smile and a gloriously feminine face when she’s wearing that above mentioned smile! I guess it’s true what they say: Diamonds are a girl’s best friends. They sure seem to make Freja happy… (via 1, 2)

Marc Jacobs Dress Nicole Kidman Vs Kim Kardashian

There’s a new favorite dress among the magazines pictorials stylists. And it seems to be the gorgeous Marc Jacobs dress from the Spring Summer 2011 collection.

I’ve seen it in the February 2011 magazines issues both on Nicole Kidman and Kim Kardashian. Where? Nicole in Harper’s Bazaar US and Kim in Glamour US. This alone is the perfect example of how truly versatile the dress is! I’m looking forward to who’ll be the next to wear the amazingly beautiful Marc Jacobs maxi dress! (don’t you just love it?) Lanvin Bow Flip Flop Sandals Perfect For DIY

These amazing raffia and silk espadrilles from Lanvin just made it to the top of my wishlist for this upcoming summer season!

Though you’ve seen me blasting the Lanvin Summer 2011 bags, now it’s big time I praise something from their SS 2011 collection. The flip flop sandals have been a summer love of mine since forever, so Alber Elbaz‘ silk denim bow sandals struck gold in my heart on the spot.

The only trouble I have is the price tag – $422 for a pair of flip flops? It just defies the entire “summer relaxed style” saying. So I have this idea – let’s make this a DIY project: take your regular summer flip flops and work a denim or silk bow on them! It has to work! And more – you have the liberty the Lanvin flip flops don’t grant: you can change, interchange, match and mix the bows to your heart’s pleasure! Let’s give thanks to Mr Alber Elbaz for this wonderful idea!

Andrej And Ginta For Marc By Marc Jacobs Summer 2011 Campaign

Nothing’s better than a great looking blonde for an appealing ad campaign. Except two blonds! Juergen Teller’s lenses photographed Ginta Lapina and Andrej Pejic (the new androgyny model sensation) for the Spring Summer 2011 Marc by Marc Jacobs ad campaign as styled by Poppy Kain.

Also known as Good hair vs Bad hair day where the girl is having the bad hair attack. Why are designers (stylists and photographers and so on) so mean to us, girls? Oh I could really cry right now-aaah! (photo via)
