Would You Wear Rodarte At The Gym?
April 13th, 2011 by kpriss
Because some people actually do! Yes, like in Mulleavy sisters’ Rodarte! Who would do such a thing? Kirsten Dunst. Yes, the lovely Kirsten was recently seen wearing a Rodarte tee while getting out from the gym and heading back to her car.
What does that tell you? That Kirsten Dunst loves Rodarte and Opening Ceremony as the cute Rodarte Prom heart tee is exclusively available through OC for $100. So I guess this sums it up: celebrity are normal people like us, only they wear a hundred bucks tees to sweat in at the gym! Ha! (OC via)
Victoria Beckham’s Baby Bump Is Finally Visible
April 13th, 2011 by kpriss
You know I have a weakness for pregnant ladies. Motherhood is such a wonderful, wonderful thing! And the miracle of giving life should never be taken lightly. As a mother myself, I always have a bad case of heartmelt whenever I see a lil’one or burgeoning baby bump.
More so if the said bump belongs to Victoria Beckham, mother of three boys and now expecting a girl. Finally. And we get to see the baby bump growing, underneath those fashionable layers of clothing from Victoria’s own collection (yes, that’s why it looked so familiar!). I’m loving the sweater dress, the bag and her long, simple hair! And the baby bump, biensur! Isn’t she lovely? (fyi – Victoria is currently six months along) (photos via)
How Big Is Too Big: The Headpiece
April 12th, 2011 by kpriss
While a spend a huge amount of my online time perusing and scrolling an enormous amount of fashinformation, I always find myself in a style impasse, wondering which way to go to make it fashionable.
This is one of those moments – I found this adorable teal headpiece. And you know teal is big this season. As you know headpieces (especially flowery ones) are a major trend hit right now. However, as cute and spring-ish as they may be, the headpieces sometimes end up wearing us instead of the opposite. I love this, but isn’t it too big? If I’ll wear it, won’t people end up looking at my headpiece alone? How big is too big? (photo Glamour Russia February 2011 via)
What To Wear At The Flea Market
April 12th, 2011 by kpriss
Remember we discussed the green attitude towards your wardrobe – if you can’t decide on a classic style and keep giving in to the new trends temptation, all you have to do is remember that fashion is about reinventing the old. So vintage is the name of the green wardrobe game for you!
And don’t you worry, some highly sough after, consistently stylish celebrity hunt for vintage chic also. Take Dita Von Teese for example: she’s so chic and adorably retro during a recent trip at a Flea Market in West Hollywood (California). Also: in Hollywood’s flea markets, the Chanel bag is de rigueur! (I wonder though – those lucky charms hanging on her Chanel’s chain’leather straps – are those custom enhancements?) (photos via)
Emma Watson’s Alberta Ferretti Pure Threads Collection
April 12th, 2011 by kpriss
And I was feeling sad because Emma Watson‘s People Tree collection was the last she was going to do with the label! Looks like little Emma was busy, busy, busy! Fashion busy! Her new collection with designer Alberta Ferretti, Pure Threads is a step up in her fashion game.
At least concerning the price. $300 something for a pair of jeans shorts, $650 for the matching white blouse and $1,010 for a white maxi dress. And to think that she once described the collection as fitted for the young! (proceeds from the sales go to benefit – who else – People Tree). I know healthy beauty comes with a price, but paying $1,010 for a dress? (Alberta Ferretti via)

And even if you don’t know yet what must feel like to be blessed with the graciousness of a whale for at least 4 months every two years or so, but you treasure comfort and loose, relaxed style, caftans are what you need in your wardrobe!

Newsflash – you can be comfy and unearthly glamorous wearing a caftan! Proof in images: (do click through, you may be amazed of the versatility and high fashionability of a simple caftan!)
Meadham Kirchhoff Topshop Collection 2011
April 11th, 2011 by kpriss
I was thinking about the fast fashion designers collaborations – better said – the lack of and then something came to mind – a piece I have seen wondering around the fashinterwebs about Topshop and Meadham Kirchhoff.
The nine pieces collection is the second in its genre, ranging from $50 – 500, it doesn’t come cheap but it comes with a high Brit fashflavor I treasure. Vintagey and bohemian, the new Meadham segment is here to bring a taste of spring in your designer drawer. And though I’m not a fan of holes through (new) garments, I admit there’s a certain charm and style particularity in the Meadham Topshop dresses. How about you? Would you buy already trashed clothing as new? (Topshop via)
