Gaga Thinks Lee McQueen Is In Charge Of Her And Her Doings

Our devilish pantless diva Lady Gaga took a moment away from her daily pantless singing duties to concentrate on spawning a true sample of her infinite (pantless) wisdom. Her words now reach the fashpeople in a way she was never truly able to touch their ranks before!

Lady Gaga thinks Alexander McQueen, our beloved late designer, is marionetting her life and decisions, even manipulating her record label to change the date of her single’s release. I don’t know about you, but I smell a marketing maneuver, highly infused with over inflated ego and a dash of fashinfatuation! (via; photo via)

I think he planned the whole thing. […] Right after he died, I wrote Born This Way. I think he’s up in heaven with fashion strings in his hands, marionetting away, planning this whole thing.

[…]When I heard that [the record label pushing the release date of her single on the same day as Alexander McQueen’s death anniversary], I knew he planned the whole damn thing. […] I didn’t even write the f***ing song. He did!

Ten Rules For A Lady

Talking about inspiration and Tumblr? Here’s another example that we should take into consideration for the new week that’s about to start! The ten rules of a lady! An etiquette guide for the lady in you!

It’s never too late to become the princess you always wanted to be! More so since this is the month of the Royal Wedding and we’re all breathlessly waiting for the big day! Let’s take this lady how – to one step at a time and see what comes next in a Lady’s Code of Conduct. Among the golden rules are “Love your Body (It’s the only one you’ve got)” and, my favorite: “Keep your heels, head, and standards high.”. Isn’t this fun? (I’m sure more rules are to follow, so you might want to check out the original site)

Kirsten Dunst’s Bvlgari Jasmin Noir Video Commercial Is Out

And it’s looking really weird. Or so I think. It wasn’t all that easy when we saw the ad print photos but now, seeing everything in motion just doubles the strangeness of the concept.

Kirsten Dunst advertising for Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir Perfume sounds appealing and all, the jewelry pieces are breathlessly beautiful, but let’s take a closer look! Kirsten shares the fragrance ad spotlight with a real life size lion. Which isn’t all that bad, except I don’t really envision myself rubbing shoulders with a lion when I’m spraying some perfume on me. Do you? Does it help your fragrance loving self? Thinking about rubbing yourself against a real lion? (via)

Ataui Deng’s Bergdorf Goodman Spring Summer 2011 Catalog

You’ve heard me marveling at Ataui before. Well, things haven’t changed, au contraire my friends! Ataui Deng seems to grow more beautiful with each passing day / photo shoot.

Today I’m amazed by her work with photographer Mark Segal for the Bergdorf Goodman catalog. She’s so majestic and versatile I can’t help but stare at her pictures. The tropical set is a must right now, it seems, as is the caftan we talked about earlier. I’ll stop here and let Ataui do the rest of the talking. Hit the jump for more visual loveliness! The Inside Out Style

Remember we talked about how fashion is bringing the underwear at the rank of garment in its own right or, by the powers of layering, a simple piece of lingerie can become the highlight of an outfit. If that was made possible by the influence of Gaga, it’s yet unclear, but very likely.

The art, much like fashion, is not without sensibility to the new inside out manifested trend. So, here to inspire us, the wonderful, amazing, magic photography of Lori Nix! It’s one of those “wow” moments when all I can do is stare. How about you? (yes, the images are digitally manipulated, but oh! what a wonderful result!) (Lori Nix via)

The Real McQueen With Kate Moss, Annabelle Neilson, Daphne Guinness

At last the great pictorial from Harper’s Bazaar UK, May 2011 is here. The long awaited one paying tribute to Alexander McQueen.

Alongside Kate Moss were Annabelle Neilson and Daphne Guinness to portray the best they could the Lee McQueen they knew and treasured inside their hearts with a little help from Solve Sundsbo‘s cameras and Jonathan Kaye‘s stylish sets. As great and really beautiful the images can be, there was truly only one Alexander McQueen and a handful of pictures won’t help us remember and appreciate him at his true value. Daphne Guinnessphoto is my favorite – it’s so dynamic and epic at the same time, wouldn’t you say? (via)

The New It Accessory: Flowers. Flowers On Your Face

Continuing the accessories issue right here to help us make up our mind more styling inspiration for the Spring / Summer season. There’s a new take on the flowers you might have ignored so far: Flowers on your face? Glued on?

As I look more at the image of Amalie Hartmann as styled for a Pull & Bear ad campaign, my doubts regarding the face flowers styling are building up. First because I can hardly stand bracelets around my wrists, let alone flowers glued on my face, second – talking about glue – what kind of glue would one need to pull this aesthetic flawlessly? And – where do I get the flowers in the first place? Is there a flowers – for – your -face kit somewhere or do I just simply go out and get some?

Let’s have a little flowery talk, you and me! About headpieces that are slowly falling out of grace due to extra using and the new Flowers On Your Face thing! Would you do it? (the image is part of the Alberto Murta’s Pull & Bear Spring 2011 Ad campaign which was photographed by Txema Yeste, starring Mackenzie Wenmann, Amalie Hartmann, Elinor Jade, Max Motta and Arthur Sales; Pull & Bear via)
