Adele Someone Like You And More

So I said we should do Adele one day? Why wait? Let’s do it today! I skipped last week’s Friday Break either way, so I’m faulty! Plus we talked about her, I think we can all agree that if there would be more people like Adele in the entertainment business, the world would be a better place altogether!

Like I said, I was listening to some songs from Adele’s second album, 21 (yes, that’s the album’s title) and felt it was truly beautiful and remarkably grownup and matured (as a style). From what I’ve listened to so far, I pick Someone Like You for today!

Missoni’s Target Collection Looks Like This

Beyond brands and logos, I love Missoni’s trademark zig zagued any – thing. Because it’s funny looking, not too pretentious, and definitely eye catching.

Partnering with Target for another one of their Go International collection was amazing news, more so since the Missoni For Target line goes way further than just clothes. Accessories and luggage are also worth considering, especially since they’ll look like what you see in the pictures below. Gorgeous! I wonder, though – if I’ll take two of everything, would it be excessive? I just think it’ll be long till the next affordable Missoni mission! How about you? How do you feel about Missoni hitting Target stores this September? (via 1, 2)

How Deep Is Your Fashion Love?

Talking about engagements and got me thinking about this picture I saw not long ago. Which I could definitely print out and hang on a (fashionable, biensur) wall!

Part of my daily musings, there’s a wee oasis of funny fashion moments. Instant moments of smiling bright, beyond the seriousness that is today the Fashion Industry. If you have a moment, every day, or every few days or so, check the IHIAiF. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it? Look what a gem I found there! Precious! “In fashion you work, in fashion you trust!” prefacing another version of the infamous crucifix shoes of unknown origin. That’s definitely something Gaga would wear!

Elemis Japanese Camelia Oil, Victoria Beckham’s Pregnancy Body Secret

There’s something buzzing around the interwebs about a certain product that worked wonders on Victoria Beckham’s pregnant body – it would appear that she used the Elemis Japanese Camellia Oil throughout her pregnancy (Victoria is scheduled for a c-section on July 4th, so that would place her in her third trimester right now) and she got zero stretch marks.

I’m certain that Elemis’ Japanese Camellia Oil is a great blend and the effectiveness of the Japanese camellia is well documented throughout the years, however, one should note that stretch marks are a condition of the skin (almost) independent of the outside care provided. Long story short : if your mother experienced stretch marks, you’ll most certainly do so yourself. Our beloved friend, mdinah could come give us a scientific opinion regarding the stretch marks myths, but my personal experience with four pregnancies should increase the credibility of the above stated. If you’re feeling like trying the Japanese Camellia Oil, you can head over to Elemis here. (VB Twitter via)

McQueen MET Exhibition Huge Success. Also Open On Mondays

The Metropolitan’s Museum of Art’s Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty exhibition seems to have had such tremendous success that they’re extending it by one week, through August 7.

If you haven’t had your Met McQueen fix, you can also try on Mondays, when, for $50 / person, you can visit the galleries between 9:30 am to 2:30 pm (the rest of the museum is closed) during the Met Mondays with McQueen special. I wonder if they noticed a significant increase in visitors after the Royal Wedding

Kim Kardashian’s Fake Ring Dilemma

So what happened during the Memorial Day long weekend you might have missed? Kim Kardashian’s engagement ring, it would appear, is a fake. That’s something not even the most severe fashion eye can miss out on. Why? Well, if nothing else, then just because a huge diamond ring is involved? By Lorraine Schwartz, one of Hollywood’s most beloved jewelry makers.

Let’s take it slowly, for those of you who, just like me, were completely unaware of the situation: Kim Kardashian is allegedly engaged to Kris Humphries (a professional basketball player). Photos celebrating their special occasion have been pushed in print and online by People Magazine. Check the rings face – off right after the jump!
