White Summer Dress With Crocheted Details. Alberta Ferretti SS 2012

Today we have two outfits. Because we skipped a beat yesterday. So here’s the first one. Because we’re saying goodbye to summer, let’s do it in style. Nothing speaks of summer better than a white dress. So here’s a gorgeous number from Alberta Ferretti Spring Summer 2012 as modeled by Hanne Gaby Odiele.

I especially loved the crocheted inserts. Knitting is so big right now, I’d better perfect my knitting and crocheting skills, maybe by June next year, I’ll be a little less rusty. With the November 2011 issue of Vogue UK came the first images of the Versace for H & M Collection ad campaign. We’ve seen some bits and pieces from the iconic collaboration and it was about time the ad campaign hit the audience since the actual collection breaks into selected stores starting November 17.

An electric Sasha Pivovarova and a leather duo (Daphne Groeneveld and Lindsey Wixson) do their best Versace blonde impersonation all dolled up in H & M. Versace for H & M. I’m having troubles relating to Sasha’s loud look but I’m sure the collection itself is gorgeous and Versace through and through!

Emma Watson is looking all artsy and young spirited on the cover of Elle UK November 2011. The photos, as impeccably executed by Rankin, are fresh and quirky, Emma’s growing out pixie being even cuter and more appealing than in the fresh cut days.

Too bad they had to crop her so… awkwardly. The pink feathered subscribers cover has an easier to digest newsstand counterpart (it’s maybe not fully clear from the after the jump image which is actually the picture they used for the newsstand cover, but it’s definitely a more human cover; hopefully, when the official pictures will surface, justice will be done) and a classic tummy – ache posing inside. I know I may come across as hopeless, but Emma is adorable. Especially in this new, fresh flower power interpretation. Check out the video after the jump and tell me I’m wrong! Another month, another Vogue cover. Rihanna is unstoppable. Not only the music / entertaining industry is bowing down to her, fashion is also paying its tribute with fashion magazines features.

This year’s Vogue’s shape issue, as covered by Rihanna, was a beauty to look at and to get closer to, browsing through its pages. November 2011 brings a Vogue UK cover girl feature for wig – loving Rihanna. She’s looking great on the cover and I simply love the blue sky background you’ll see more of in the inside pictorial – it has that retro vibe and modern bold attitude we seek in our leading ladies. (although the images were not officially confirmed by Vogue UK, the fashion people already discuss her Vogue pictorial)

You better take note, I’m telling you, the bob is all around! By the time Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe hits the big screen, hair stylists everywhere better be on top of their bob skills! What? Are you in a festive mood already? I can’t believe September is already over and we’re officially in the second day of October! Tic tic tic! Christmas is just around the corner! (don’t look at me like that! The letters to Santa are piling up already! What can you say to a 4yo who’s literally asking you day after day if today is winter and the next day is Christmas?)

Yeah, so what was I saying? Oh yes, Christmas! Emporio Armani has already the Holidays advertorial ready to push here and there. With Megan Fox promoting the Armani beauty look, I’m sure we’ll be seeing men queuing up to buy Armani makeup case goodies for their ladies! (oh, and I know you think I see bobs everywhere, but come on?! Isn’t that a bob cut on Megan?)

After browsing for long long hours the interwebs, looking for various looks and precious clothing pieces to make my own or panel for a monthly inspiration board, I decided to bring a day’s outfit. To discuss or simply to dream at, La piece du jour (the item of the day, only in fashionable French – wink to spice it up a bit) will be the eyes – wash item of the day, the look of the day, the outfit of the day, whatever you want to call it. It will be there. Day after day. I think.

The “Piece du jour” format is a simple one, based on imagery more than anything. However, few words as in why I loved it and why I’d want to wear it and where it’s from (who made it) are in order. My daaahlings, here’s the first Piece du Jour! (yes, I’m revamping the Outfit of the day concept – wink) The last look from Iceberg, Spring Summer 2012. As catwalked down by Aymeline Valade, the shiny pants suit is one of my dream outfits for an elegant evening / cocktail / party. How do you like it?

Yes, you’re reading that right! And it doesn’t mean she’s announcing a new magazine collaboration! Oh, no! My daaahlings, this time, the very fashionable and highly sought-after Vogue Paris ex-editor in chief, Carine Roitfeld has announced her very own fashion magazine!

Printed on paper, perhaps one issue / season (four / year), the magazine is yet unnamed although Carine admitted she would’ve wanted it to be similar to Oprah Winfrey’s O magazine. When will it be available? September 2012, in English! Would that do better than Vogue Paris does now without her? hmmm
