Dress Like The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo With H & M Collection

Although David Fincher’s movie isn’t out yet and everyone is impatiently waiting for mid December (the launch date of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, the Hollywood version, is December 14th) and if you’re really into the movie spirit, you can dress in H&M for the occasion!

Trish Summerville has joined H & M Divided for a special capsule collection H & M The Dragon Tattoo collection. Trish Summerville, who is a costume designer, also responsible for the movie’s costumes, we’re in for a major movie treat. From November 28th, when this 30 pieces collection will be launched with Collette, we’ll only see Lisbeth Salander copycats made in H&M. And to be honest, I’d like a few pieces from The Dragon Tattoo collection myself! Look at that pictures and check out the video after the jump, wouldn’t you want some?

Most Wanted Halloween Costumes This Year: Nicki Minaj, Black Swan, Smurfette

Indulge me in a bit of a Halloween overload. We’re so close, I can’t believe it! Now if we’re to give credit to the latest rumors about the costumey special day, it would appear that the world’s most wanted Halloween costumes right now are the Nicki Minaj costume, the Black Swan costume and the Smurfette costume.

I don’t know what your preferences are, but either way, I included a video tutorial for each of the above mentioned looks, just in case you’d want to wear / be one of them. I’m not much of a Smurfette makeover fan, but I’d take the Black Swan or the Nicki Minaj (for fun) any Halloween day! (especially the Black Swan!) you? What are you going to be this Halloween (besides creepy scary, of course?)

Versace H & M Ads Used All The Gold Paint In London

Or at least that’s what the production designer of the video commercial for the H & M Versace collection, Jan Houllevigue, had to say about the short film.

If you’ll watch the behind the scenes video below, you’ll notice a few scenes from the TV commercial. Surreal, hypnotic, theatrical. I’d like to keep my judging on the surface or else I’ll get dizzy from all the strange things going on in this ad (girls trained to walk in line in a cage? girls running in a hamster wheel? Hmmm). And Donatella Versace was so pleased and impressed with everything! Then again, if it’s branded with the Versace logo, everything is great, regardless of its true nature or significance. Luxury, baby, cheap, cheap, golden luxury!

Sexiest Shoes Of The Moment

You think choosing just one shoes model to be the most beautiful, most desirable, most appreciated, most sought after is a nearly impossible task? Think again! The women of America have chosen Valentino’s peep toe pump covered in black lace embroidery as the sexiest shoe!

Surprisingly popular, price – wise, the gorgeous Valentino peep-toe pump can be yours for just $695 while its competition is way above $1,000. The following four positions were taken by Jimmy Choo’s Swarovski sandals ($2,095), Prada’s knee high black leather boots ($1,200) and Chrissie Morris’s suede mesh peep toe ankle boots ($1,365). The selection was made by the editors of Saks Fifth Avenue and WWD’s Footwear News. The selection was submitted to 35,000 online voters and Valentino came first before the likes of Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Gucci, Stuart Weitzman and more. If you were to add something to the list, what would you?

Creepy Halloween Nails

After all these wonderful, wonderful years we spent together, you know me a little by now and you know I’m such a sucker for all things nails. Nail polish, nail art. I love it! I may have two left hands when it comes to doing my hair (although I’m getting better by the day), but I know a thing or two about nails, baby!

So, it was only natural that I do an inspirational nail piece for this Halloween! I know some may look scary, some may even be scary-ingly difficult to obtain, but this level of nail art creepiness deserves some serious attention! It’s art at your fingertips and, in part, you can pull it out too! (if only for the fake nails alone, and you still can pull it out magnificently!) ready? Let’s do this: my personal favorite, the Bloody Nails – splattered blood red polish over pearlish white nails. Sooooo Dexter-ish! (hit the jump for more nail art amazingness! Sarah Burton Talks Alexander McQueen, The Royal Wedding In Vogue UK December 2011

There’s a little surprise I discovered in the last issue of Vogue UK. Determined to not judge the entire issue by its circus-y cover (which is dramatically different from the previous years December covers I loved so much), I looked further, trying to find reasons to want / own this issue.

And here’s what I discovered: under the title People to Celebrate, Sarah Burton talks about the house of Alexander McQueen, about the Royal Wedding. People talk about Sarah. It’s a rare gem and I loved every pixel of it (you can too as I included the largest part of the article in the gallery)! (the other three people to celebrate were Jennifer Egan, Jessica Ennis and James Corden. All of them amazing and really brilliant at what they do.) Oh, and what I suspected was right all along – in one of the official photos from the Royal Wedding, with Kate entering Westminster Abbey, there was this woman who rushed to arrange the wedding dress train – yes, yes, yes! That was Sarah Burton! – you can watch Sarah taking care of the wedding dress after the jump – at appx 2:31 along.

The Sweater Coat As Imagined By Sonia Rykiel

I must be cold or something! Today’s outfit comes from a far away land, where it’s always cold and despite the cold, you have to be fashionable. Sonia Rykiel’s chunky sweater is my idea of comfy, cozy, joyful fashion for the cold days.

And who else to model it but one of my favorite models, Sasha Pivovarova? This picture was taken by Mario Sorrenti for the latest issue of Vogue Paris. Also – the look was styled by Emmanuelle Alt, makeup by Aaron de Mey and hair by Recine. It’s laid back, casual, skinny and… you know, very Emmanuelle: skinny jeans, straight hair down on the shoulders. Oh – sigh – and the sweater? I think this must be my equivalent for that D & G strapless dress I loved so much! What’s your outerwear of choice when it gets cold outside?

Chloe Moretz’s Interview November 2011

In an issue talking about the rising of the Teen Culture, Interview shows a pretty gorgeous cover for their November 2011 issue. Chloe Moretz is the new teen darling (alongside Hailee Steinfeld, of course) and the cover picture is sheer perfection.

In an artsy kind of way. Undoubtedly, the inside pictorial is just as great, delivering as much culture as the new teen wave allows it. After all, people were longtime shocked at fashion industry’s habits of taking younger and younger girls and pushing them on the catwalks – it would appear that using younger and younger actors is way more acceptable. How? (just in case you were wondering, Chloe Grace Moretz is 14 and here‘s her cinematic listing until now)
