Leopard Print. Wear It Like A Lady!
January 6th, 2012 by kpriss
I found this really cute outfit from Kate Spate, the pre fall 2012 2013 collection I thought you’ll like too! It’s a classic leopard print top matched with red, classic cut pants.
The too – adorable waist bow instantly adds a lady chic factor to the ensemble by toning down and taming the loud leopard print, especially in a combination with something red! If you ask me, this is a great outfit for a Christmas Party! (yes, I know Christmas is already behind us! But it’s never too late to get inspired, is it? Especially since I like Kate Spade so much!)
Victoria’s Secret And Burberry Most Liked Fashion Brands On Facebook
January 6th, 2012 by kpriss
Although there’s no apparent liaison between the two, Victoria’s Secret and Burberry have one thing in common: they’re most liked on Facebook. Among the Fashion Brands. Victoria’s Secret, with over 16,4 Million Likes (today) reigns supreme while the British label Burberry closes in with over 10,1 Million Likes (today). So it’s true what they say, then? All you need is a trench coat and a set of gorgeous lingerie to be fashionable! And here I was, thinking that Rosie Huntington – Whiteley representing for both VS and Burberry was a coincidence! Ha! (yes, the following is an AP ad!)
New Louis Vuitton Perfume. What Should It Smell Like?
January 6th, 2012 by kpriss
The rumors flying around saying that the house of Louis Vuitton is working on a Louis Vuitton perfume were recently confirmed. The luxury goods giant has teamed up with Jacques Cavallier – Belletrud (a legendary fragrance maker also responsible for perfumes like Poeme by Lancome, Dior Addict and YSL Cinema among others) to launch a LV scent. The house hasn’t had a perfume on the market from the early 30s.
Rare flowers extracts will be used in the creative process. Who do you think should represent the new LV perfume? And, most importantly, how would you like it to smell like? (some want it to smell like wealth!)
Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Karen O Immigrant Song. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Opening Scene Song
January 6th, 2012 by kpriss
My daahlings! We’ve seen The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. David Fincher’s version! Oh what an overhyped mess! That’s all I’ll say before the jump!
You know I openly declared I will be seeing the TwtDG remake. One of the reasons to do so was the movie’s soundtrack – signed and performed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. One song I was particularly in love with was The Immigrant Song as covered by Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Karen O. (The song was originally performed by Led Zeppelin.) Important: if the video below becomes unavailable, it shouldn’t surprise you – it’s the actual opening scene of the actual movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (the US version, 2011). So do enjoy it while it lasts! (oh, and I almost forgot, caught in this Dragon mess: have a wonderful weekend! wink)
How Do You Like Mila Kunis Advertising For Dior ?
January 5th, 2012 by kpriss
First time I realized Mila Kunis was going to be big in Hollywood it was at the cinema (duh!) while watching her performance alongside the brilliant Denzel Washington in The Book of Eli. Where she is today – well needless to say, everyone associates her with Black Swan. Since Aronofski’s masterpiece, Mila Kunis is regarded as one of the most talented young actresses today. And praised as such.
Naturally, fashion houses came running into Mila’s direction, eager to speak to the young generation’s stylish heart. Seeing her advertising moment for the house of Dior is pretty surprising, to be honest. I loved Marion Cotillard’s Dior ads so much, I wouldn’t have associated them with another actress.
However, this ad campaign, photographed by Mikael Jansson (it actually looks like this Jansson’s photoshoots with Marion), confirms that Mila’s rising star shines high. (how do you feel about her? and her Dior Ad Campaign) Personally, I have a confession to make – I miss the old style school – personal style that doesn’t change with every movie / advertising contract. I wonder if Mila is going to find her fashion path (from jeans and tees to couture)… also: using famous faces in ad campaigns isn’t enough – Dior should try different approaches instead of recreating pretty much the same poses with different characters…

Karmen Pedaru’s Bottega Veneta Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign By Jack Pierson
January 4th, 2012 by kpriss
Bottega Veneta continues to play with us, aesthetically. Remember last season they entrusted the shooting of their Fall Winter 2011 2012 ad campaign to a documentary professional?
Well, this season it’s an artist they on boarded for the realization of the new Bottega Veneta Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign! Jack Pierson is the eye behind the new campaign pictures. Joyful and colorful, the new visuals do remind of Jack Pierson’s vivid collages and artworks. This time he had Karmen Pedaru to show off against a blue ocean background (the lighly overexposed picture is something you’ll see often in Jack Pierson’s artistic photography work – see examples here). The campaign, however, breaks in print media next month and we have some waiting to do, sadly – the campaign is accompanied by a video guiding us through the making of this campaign! I’d love to see that! wouldn’t you? And I love the idea of pairing artists with fashion!
Cappellini Disney Eco Fish Joyful Armchair. New Year, New Furniture
January 4th, 2012 by kpriss
I have a confession to make: I’m experiencing a heavy interior decoration tendency at the moment. Might be the New Year pushing me towards new home-y acquisitions, might be an old flame taking over again (wink). Either way, I found this cutie I had to share with you:
Disney Eco Fish armchair from Cappellini. It’s a happy chair, whimsical and playful designed by Satyendra Pakhale in 2010 and manufactured from multi colored recycled plastic. It could be yours for just $2,110. It’s a great accent chair, in a minimalist fashion, how I love them best! Too bad about the price tag. But hey! Who said a girl can’t daydream, huh?
Couture Lineup For Valentino’s Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign
January 4th, 2012 by kpriss
Although I can’t really tell why, I keep on starring at this ad / picture for a couple of days. So I decided to pop the question and ask you how you felt about Valentino’s Spring Summer 2012 Ad Campaign?
They say it has a Mexican flavor (even if the models cast don’t necessarily point towards Mexico, visually: Bette Franke, Maud Franzen, Fei Fei Sun, Zuzanna Bijoch, Clement Chabernaud). It’s a very nice composition, the photography is signed by Deborah Turbeville but still fails to impress me. I love the clothes, I loved them since I first laid eyes on, on the catwalk. But please do enlighten me: what should this advertorial setting mean?
