Beyonce’s Fake Baby Bump Buzz Now Fake Baby Buzz

With every passing day, my mind keeps on being blown away by the crazy things people write / spread on the Internet. Remember the madness that ensued Beyonce’s televised baby bump collaps? Well, those who missed that crazy fake bump talk can now take it all on the fake baby rumor. See, some have so much free time on their hands as to wonder why Beyonce’s baby isn’t growing (apparently). Say hello to the “fake baby, Beyonce carrying baby doll instead of baby girl” madness! (forehead slap)

If Stella McCartney designed the uniforms for the Summer 2012 Olympic team (the UK team, that is), Miuccia Prada is lending a style hand to the Italian Olympic sailing team. Prada is sponsoring the boat event’s wardrobe and Prada logos will be visible on the competition’s ships.

This is not Miuccia’s first foray into the world of sports as Prada is known for its association with America’s sailing Cup. It may have something to do with Patrizio Bertelli’s passion for sailing? (Patrizio is Miuccia’s husband and Prada CEO).

Now for a personal curiosity moment: when it comes to putting together your fit – wardrobe, do you favor designer sportswear or traditional, professional sports attire labels? I’ve always been in a serious dilemma when it comes to sport shoes & clothing; although I’d love me some fashionable, designer sneakers (just an example), I tend to choose more traditional sport attire labels (say.. New Balance? Just a random example, again) because I’m afraid designer products only offer the looks and not the science.

Alessandra Ambrosio just announced that she’ll be having a baby boy this time! How cute! The wee one is the couple’s second child together, joining older sister Anja, 3. Both Alessandra and fiancé Jamie Mazur are over the moon for the baby gender news! Congrats (again) to the happy family!

Now that’s some serious pirate work right there! After sister Penelope Cruz joining the Pirates of the Caribbean ranks, Monica Cruz is now advertising for TechnoMarine Watches wearing a wristwatch as an eye patch. Clever, huh?

Monica and Andres Velencoso Segura, known more for being Kylie Minogue’s boyfriend than a Spanish model and actor, both advertise for TechnoMarine as photographed by Nicolas Guerin and Benjamin Bouchet. The campaign will reportedly mark the Geneva based brand’s 15th anniversary and the launch of its new website and continually expanding e-boutique (US and Canada) initiative. Oh, and if you head over to their website, there’s the video campaign teaser with Monica and Andres, set on Ratatat’s Mirando (remember there was a Prada campaign with that soundtrack too?)

My willowy, tall constitution is forever thankful for drop waist dresses! Especially the kind of dresses you’ll see below! It’s an everyday dress from IKKS, a French label founded in 1987 and is now part of the French Zannier group (among labels such as Gaultier Junior and Kenzo kids). If being part of a kids fashion chain means comfortable design like this, I’m in! And believe me, I was really having a hard time choosing just one dress! They have so many beautiful items in their collections!

Although I’m positive that this is for fashion purposes only (as in a new pictorial or fancy ad campaign, an advanced fashion project of some kind), Crystal Renn is now a blonde. And when Crystal does something, you know her, she’s all, body and soul. In this case, hair and eyebrows! Crystal Renn, my daahlings, is a blonde.

And she’s also vacationing. With the dolphins at the Cove Atlantis. There’s no telling if she’s going back to her old dark hair ways once this vacation thing is over but it’s hard to believe she’ll stick with this lighter look – should she?

World’s most influential fashion icons since 1923. That’s who’s on Time’s Fashion Icons list. But who put them there? Why? Because Azzedine Alaia tops the designers list, Gisele Bundchen is the most influential model, Josephine Baker is on top of the muses list, Avedon is leading the influential photographers list and Isabella Blow was crowned as the most influential editor & stylist. You might be surprised to find Grace Coddington second to Isabella Blow on the editors & stylists top while Carine Roitfeld and Franca Sozzani occupy the 8th and 9th position respectively.

Like Fashionista has pointed out, British designers are either at the bottom of (any) list, either not present at all, as is the case with people of color. Also – who placed Andy Warhol under “muse”? Seriously, Time? You should check out the lists too (here), see if it’s accurate.

Charlotte Gainsbourg. And I could very well stop here. There’s hardly anyone out there who doesn’t feel the effortless magnetism echoing from Charlotte Gainsbourg. The famous daughter of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg, Charlotte seems to have inherited only the best in her parents’ DNA.

So, besides being really talented at what she’s doing (she’s an actress, a singer and a model), Charlotte is very modest. Her Oyster magazine feature includes a heartwarming interview and images from Charlotte’s home in Paris. We wouldn’t expect her apartment to look anything less but charming. Just like Charlotte is.(and by the looks of the Oyster cover alone, there’s a laid-back feeling and look to it all)
