Some are good, some are brilliant, but they’re all perfectly in trend! After all, it’s not us who wanted YSL changed into SLP (Saint Laurent Paris)! Let’s join Hedi Slimane and blow some wind of change in that YSL rebranding cake, shall we?

I like it when, every now and then, Photoshop polishes off its bad name and unveils a wonderful aesthetic result to the world! Nina Ricci’s Fall Winter 2012 2013 ad campaign as photographed by Inez and Vinoodh shows an ecstatic Kati Nescher holding tight to her alligator skin bag.

The bag in question, Nina Ricci’s new La Rue bag, is the new arm candy focus of the maison and, to mark how special it really is for them (and consequently for us too), illustrator Jo Ratcliffe was reportedly contacted to adorn the much too dark imagery. And what a wonderful job he did! Those flowers are divine! I’d like that on my wall. Regardless of it being just an advertising campaign after all!

After watching Snow White and the Huntsman, a simple, yet stingy question popped in my mind: is Chris Hemsworth the new Brad Pitt?

I know, I know, frown all you want, but if you take a moment and think about it, as a cinematic stereotype, Chris Hemsworth fills the gap left by Brad Pitt (circa Fight Club & Snatch). Physically, Chris Hemsworth is now at his peak shape (all he needs is a red bed sheet around his neck, a ginormous hammer and lo and behold! Here’s Thor!).

Brad Pitt, too involved in cult projects (genre The Tree of Life) and family life (Angelina & their kids) put his Olympian physique on hold. Will Chris Hemsworth be embraced as the new Brad Pitt? (the photos below come from here)

The kind of artsy home décor accents that’ll make your bank account shiver and cry a river, Home Mint as designed and / or curated by Justin Timberlake (and Estee Stanley) looks impressive. Simple, yet really fancy. Justin described the items he designed / curated with enviable eloquence “these were home made. And… made by people!” Wow. Justin! I’m sold! Not!

We’ve all seen the wedding trends going from one color to another, from one atmosphere to another. I loved Kate Moss’ relaxed bohemian wedding, but how about a Gipsy themed wedding?

The lovely Margherita Missoni got married this weekend to her longtime boyfriend, racing driver Eugenio Amos and carried the wedding party in a very gipsy way. Her white wedding dress signed Giambattista Valli was absolutely romantic (notice the flowers embroidered Missoni silk and the oversized organza sleeves). Also notice that the bride wore flat gladiator golden sandals and a tiara in her hair. Loving the look, loving the style; would you consider having or attending a gipsy wedding?
