While Gabby Douglas Was Flying For Gymnastics Gold, People Blast Her Hair!

Clearly, the Twitter population has too much free time on their hands! So while Gabby Douglas was busy at the Olympics finals flying and sweating her eyes out for the Gymnastics Golden Medal (congrats Gabby! You made history today!), some Twitters were also busy with criticizing Gabby Douglas’ hair. She’s 16, people! And she just won the Golden Metal for the US, the first black gymnast to do so! Ever! I have a thing for Ellen von Unwerth’s photography. I’ve said it before… And although Keira Knightley’s pout always makes me cringe, her Harper’s Bazaar UK September 2012 pictorial looks like a dreamy one!

The picture below, with my favorite dress this season (looks like the YSL metal chain dress, doesn’t it?) is a lovely preview of the pictorial shot by Ellen von Unwerth. And you know what? Now that Kristen Stewart may (or may not) have sent her career flying off of the adultery cliff, Keira might regain her queen place in the spotlight!

Remember when David Beckham’s H & M Underwear collection launched? February!

Now with Beckham being an Olympics Ambassador, H & M wanted the world to know that David has excellent Olympic Flame qualities, but that he also looks great in underwear. In his own Bodywear collection from H&M. And what better display for lingerie if not the fierce British White Cliffs of Dover? {VogueUK}

Although I can’t remember where exactly I read this (might have been her post divorce Elle stint) but I distinctly recall that Katie Holmes wants to take her Holmes & Yang fashion adventure to the New York Fashion Week level. And judging by past looks (she had worn) from her label, I really can’t understand why she would do that.

Unless it’s because she wants to believe in her style and because she intends to fully exploit the newfound divorce fame. Miley Cyrus, as we all know, is engaged to Liam Hemsworth. And after we all admired the ring, it’s about time we talked about her wedding dress. Because, since she on the cover of Marie Claire’s September 2012 issue, it can only mean one thing: the wedding day is near!

When the Boss Nuit Perfume ad campaign surfaced, everyone tuned in and agreed on the “weird” factor. I watched it too. And found it to be not so strange after all.

Actually, I really wanted to ask you and see what you were thinking about Gwyneth Paltrow’s Boss Nuit video commercial (you can watch it after the jump). Gwyneth is flawless as usual, the campaign isn’t more profound or more philosophical than Blake Lively’s Gucci Premiere we watched not long ago. So why the negative impact on the fashion community? (… I wonder how long till everybody gets over their Gwyn – envy! All that negativity is bad for your fashion karma, you know?)

Oh, and just because another story crossed my path the other day, and I wanted to close (at least for now) the post – baby weight chapter:

remember that the gorgeous Jourdan Dunn raised some eyebrows with her pregnancy, right? But from that to theCut’s Hilary Moss who thinks that Jourdan’s confession of her post baby body not being fit for fashion clothes is an anecdote, is a looooong way paved with a lot of shameful ignorance!

I was looking at some pictures of Gisele Bundchen the other day. Gisele, who as we all know, is pregnant with her second child (due in October they say), was modeling for some fall ad campaign or catalog and she was looking flawless! I couldn’t tell she was pregnant, and I know pregnant (wink)!

Now here’s another VS Angel with her little angel at the doctor’s office (in Santa Monica, California). Molly Sims, who gave birth to a baby boy mid June, looks pretty and radiant. (by the looks of her bra, she’s breastfeeding, so I’m guessing her getting back in shape will be done in no time)
