Jersey Shore Who? Ryan Lochte Fashion Line Ready To Launch! Jeah!

I don’t usually pay attention to this kind of stuff, but I overheard a radio show host saying that Jersey Shore was over. Is that true? Because it was great news, honestly! But I didn’t even have the time to celebrate and then another headline got me thinking that we’re not over Jersey Shore – like entertainment!

Ryan Lochte, my dahlings has a fashion collection in the works! Ryan Lochte, a great athlete (he earned five medals at the 2012 Olympics where he announced himself as the best swimmer today) and equally great d*uche. However, the American audience seems to enjoy his egocentric, self-absorbed attitude and they keep pushing him towards Reality TV. He’s even slated to appear in Dancing with the Stars and (maybe) the Bachelor or a show based on his life, on E!.

But that’s not all, people! That’s not all! Ryan Lochte wants to show the world his new fashion line (do you know he trademarked “Jeah” on August 1? He owns Jeah!)! It was about time, huh? Of course Lady Gaga’s Vogue September 2012 cover was altered in photoshop (duh!) but do you know how the picture looked like when it was initially taken by Mert and Marcus? Although this Elle France issue cover pictorial was styled by someone else, every picture’s outfit & location look like they’ve been handpicked by La Moss herself! There’s a certain boho chic authenticity to Kate Moss that can’t be faked.

So the pictures, as reportedly taken by Sonia Sieff, are really everything the cover announce them to be: a Style Lesson from Kate Moss (you can convince yourself after the jump)! I could count so many reasons for which Swollen from Bent is one of the best choices for this week’s Friday Break! (think Louis Armstrong and watch the video, to name just one)

But my dahlings? It’s the end of August! Let’s make it a peaceful, harmonious one! Bent’s Swollen is all about love. And I just keep talking about love today. And 90210! (if you remember, BH90210 ended in 2000. Well, Bent here recorded and released Swollen in 2000. Wicked, huh?)

But that’s not how I came to know Swollen. I was listening to a lot of Café del Mar back in the 2000s. A lot! And Swollen was among the tracks compiled in the 7th album of the collection. (also, on a more personal note: this is dedicated, as always, to my Adored Husband! Because, you know, I’m such a hopeless romantic, always in love with him! Since forever!)

(I know, this should’ve been part of the family & such day, but still)

Wow! It’s like yesterday we sent our warmest congrats for Tori Spelling youngest child, daughter Hattie Margaret! Well Hattie is 10 months old now and already a big sister to baby boy Finn Davey! Blessing to the happy family and quick recovery for Tori! (Finn Davey was born yesterday, August 30th – as People notes – everyone is happy and doing great!)

I know, I often swear by dresses as my favorite wardrobe items. But what if we took that summer – to – fall transition wardrobe a step further and try a little diversity? Diversity is good. Diversity equals creativity. And we loooove to be creative, don’t we?

Except, every now and then, we have to take a lesson from the best. And today, I’m taking a lesson from Burberry. From Burberry Prorsum’s Resort 2013 collection, to be more specific. And the lesson I learned is that a simple pair of shorts and a simple t – shirt that you would wear during the summer season can very well make a fall staple if you just throw a trench coat in the mix! (and the right shoes & belt!) So there you go: Shorts + t – shirt + trench coat = perfect for summer to fall transition look!
