Penelope Cruz, Red Hot Campari 2013 Calendar Girl
November 16th, 2012 by kpriss
A single look at the pictures below can charm you into wanting more. More Campari 2013 Calendar with Penelope Cruz! Because she’s beyond lovely in those pictures – the theme was breaking the superstitions (you know, 20 – 13?) and the images whose author is Kristian Schuller (and a gifted post – production team) can definitely make overlook certain aspects… Like the fact that Penelope was rumoredly pregnant. I guess not, huh?
Latest Controversial Ad Campaign: Marc Jacobs Sunglasses Video
November 16th, 2012 by kpriss
Have you seen the latest ad campaign used by Marc Jacobs to trigger people into talking about him? His brand? Because hate it all you want, you still talk about this campaign. Don’t you?
It’s basically about sunglasses. Only, you see, Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses aren’t your ordinary aviators… Despite the name / resemblance. Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses can dupe you into seeing something that isn’t really there / happening. Because, you see, Marc Jacobs wants us to consider his products beyond their infinite simple definition and purpose. He wants us to stretch way further. Than Fashion. Than Economy. Think about playfulness, dumbness, ignorance and well… indecency. Can you? While also buying his sunglasses? (this ad reminds me so much about Diesel’s ‘stupid’ ad philosophy!)
256 Freakiest Shoes You’ll Ever See!
November 16th, 2012 by kpriss
Actually a set of 16 modular pieces turning into 256 different shoes! Crazy, sure, but also oh – so – hideous! Who’s behind this ‘MyShell256’ project? Sharon Golan, clearly a very talented and ingenious artist. I hope her tutors from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem appreciate her creative views! Something tells me she’d do a great job working for Ikea instead of imagining an endless freaky combinations of freaky shoes! {dezeen}
Why I Skipped The CFDA Vogue Awards This Year
November 16th, 2012 by kpriss
You might have noticed that although the notorious CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund Awards happened this week, I completely skipped the fashion event. Why – one would ask, given that I’m such a fan of the Red Carpet fashion moments?
Well, I had a strange feeling about this entire happening. And – although I know that all fashion things are mostly smoke and mirrors, I voluntarily decided to hold back any CFDA Vogue thingie until I cleared my suspicions. (and to think I only watched a couple of episodes from Elementary! wink). Now that the fashion waters have regained their stillness, I can share my feelings with you: (do hit the jump, it may blow your fashionable mind! Or not… but you won’t know until you read it all – wink)

Hair Dye Makes Your Hair Glow
November 15th, 2012 by kpriss
And it’s not even a Halloween special! Wella Professionals Illumina hair dye is said to honor its name by making your dyed hair shine like nothing you’ve ever experienced before! How? By introducing the Microlight technology (something about micro particles encapsulating some metals left on hair) and drawing inspiration from virtual animations company. I never dyed my hair before, but if what Wella said is true, I’d love to start dying my hair Brave Merida Red!
Maison Martin Margiela H&M Collection Isn’t Very Popular
November 15th, 2012 by kpriss
You knew that one of the most avant – garde designer collaborations ever to be produced and sold through H & M was hitting stores this month. Yes, I’m talking about the all – to – teased Maison Martin Margiela H & M collection!
It would appear that, although being more of a reediting of MMM bestseller designs more than a collaboration per se, opening this morning, in Paris, the new collection wasn’t such a crowd – magnet after all. Those who showed up at the wee morning hours, as wwd reports, were noticeably fewer than those who lined up for the Lanvin H&M launch last year. I, for one, actually dreamed of getting the red leather pumps with transparent wedges. Gave up that $300 dream when my car broke down yesterday and got some fancy motor parts for the same amount (wink)!
How about you? did you get anything from the collection already? and if so would you mind sharing what it was and why you bought it?

Kristen Stewart’s Zuhair Murad Black Lace Bodysuit Breaking Dawn Part Two, London
November 15th, 2012 by kpriss
Have you seen what Kristen Stewart wore for the Twilight Breaking Dawn Part Two London Premiere? Keeping true to Zuhair Murad, her stylist dressed her in a black lace see through pants bodysuit with sequins and dramatically open back from Zuhair Murad’s Fall 2012 couture collection!
I do prefer her black dress from last year’s London Breaking Dawn premiere, which wasn’t all too different from this year’s Red Carpet moment. I have to wonder, though: who’s styling Kristen Stewart is also responsible for the Bond Girls? Because I really dislike the all – too – similar Red Carpet dresses lately… Anyone else feeling the lack of creativity wind sweeping the starlets official wardrobes? Most Fashionable Sandals: Birkenstocks!
November 15th, 2012 by kpriss
While doing my daily rounds on the fashion interwebs, I came across a very interesting piece of news: Garance Dore loves Birkenstocks!
More: she even penned a Birkenstock Love Letter to show her appreciation for the German – made comfy footwear! And that, my dahlings, coupled with the numerous Birkenstock sightings I’ve been reporting about, will definitely mark the return of the Birkenstock Sandals! I’m expecting a Birkenstock feature in Vogue soon!
