Claudia Schiffer was pretty busy this fall season. Her Vogue Paris October 2009 pictorial, the funny, Halloween-ish photos from Harper’s Bazaar November 2009 UK edition and the strange, trench-y Vogue Germany November 2009 photos make Claudia a very fall-super-love.

The highly anticipated and speculated Vogue US September Issue (not that September issue!) is officially introduced to the masses! With Charlize Theron on the cover!

Bringing a celeb for a fashion issue cover is sooo Anna! And even if I like Charlize and the Testino photos look beautiful plus the amazing nature landscape from the background, there’s such a Hollywood feeling to this editorial, I can’t convince myself to forgive and forget the non model cover. It seems that Summer is the time to shine for Vogue Italy. Last year’s Black Issue was so impressive and successful that this year was somewhat reinterpreted with The Barbie Issue!

Everybody’s talking about Barbie this year, everybody’s celebrating one way or the other. But how about Black Barbies? Shouldn’t we celebrate them too? Good thing Franca Sozzani (Vogue Italy supreme editor) thought about them and highlighted the Black Barbie in a special Barbie Issue supplement to the Vogue July with McMenamy the Legend. I was very reserved when I saw Kristen McMenamy’s photos from Vogue Italia July 2009. Photographed by Steven Meisel and supposedly being a recognition of her supermodel status, the pictures look pretty frightening.

Not because of Kristen. Or maybe because of her. But it all looks so cold, so unalive I can’t think of anything else but the undead, goth inspiration for this upcoming Fall season. Not your average fashion pose (even if it seems July is a month for portrait-covers), Uma Thurman looks you in the eye from the cover of Harper’s Bazaar July. (at least it’s not the usual mid-aged accomplished woman portrayal in a magazine, that disappointing attitude of she’s got nothing provocative left to show so we’re just gonna average-photograph her in the green grass wearing something white!)

I always love her Tarantino-versatility, her fashion background and her ageless self. It seems that no matter what she does, the passing years have nothing on her! Of course the obvious advantages of Photoshop are undeniable, but how would we really react at the sight of natural wrinkles of an age-faithful photo on a non/fashion magazine? (photo via)

In my recently assumed quest of finding the best June/July 2009 cover (or magazine) my eyes were enchanted by the view of Vogue Paris! With Anja Rubik (yes, a model covering Vogue magazine!) on the cover, Vogue Paris June 2009 is no less than charming!

I’ll take it one step at the time, because there’s more than the beautiful cover for this surprising issue of Vogue Paris! There’s really much, much more inside! Perfect fit, perfectly synchronized with the most glamorous Cannes Film Festival, Vogue Paris pins up my summer! (thankfully, finally, I’m over Cameron Diaz doing a Vogue US cover) How about yours?
