Marion Cotillard’s Dior Strapless Dress 2013 SAG Awards
January 27th, 2013 by kpriss
Although not one of the winners at tonight’s 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards, I had to start my modest Red Carpet Review of the fancy event with Marion Cotillard. Because she’s one of my favorite gals out there and tonight she was dressed to impress!
And after so many Red Carpet fails, everybody loves a good comeback, even in fashion! So Marion was wearing – what else? – a Dior strapless dress from the Christian Dior Pre Fall 2013 collection (well, a custom made, actually, but with a solid pre – fall base) with ample blue skirt.

Tarantino’s Django John Legend Who Did That To You
January 27th, 2013 by kpriss
How was your weekend, my dahlings? I want to start the SAG Awards coverage with this. Because it’s clearly about movies and my deep appreciation for everything – cinematography. That is, of course, if we consider Quentin Tarantino a modern – day cinematographer. They’re not many like him, today.
At least not in the US. People with a real vision. A vision standing out from the rest. A distinct way to imagine and work a distinct movie. I waited and waited, but I don’t think this video will drop any time soon, so I’ll just leave it like it is, an audio – only. John Legend is an excellent music maker and performer and I love listening to his songs (which is also why I included a second video, right after the jump). He submitted this song for Tarantino’s consideration and he made it to the original soundtrack.
My dahlings, here’s Django Unchained John Legend Who Did That To You:
Check Out Shakira & Pique’s Newborn’s Nike Sneakers!
January 25th, 2013 by kpriss
Shakira gave birth earlier this week to a healthy baby boy. The first for she and her longtime boyfriend, FC Barcelona soccer player Gerard Pique. Much like the fashion demands it, famous soccer players sons are given fancy, unusual names. Think David Beckham’s son, Brooklyn. Shakira and Pique’s newborn boy was named Milan.
Yes, like in Italy’s Milan. Fancy. I know. But you don’t know the half of it! Milan’s first picture (or something like it) was tweeted by the proud dad when he announced the happy event. And lo and behold, it’s not a picture of his wee cute face. Nor a snap of his teeny tiny hands and miniature fingers, oh no!
Lagerfeld’s Chanel Public Garden Story: Fashion Morals Fable
January 25th, 2013 by kpriss
If there would be such a Razzie category, Lagerfeld’s Chanel Public Garden short fashion film would definitely be a favorite for the greatest Golden Raspberry reward in its category! I’m no movie maker specialist, but elementary logic elements make me watch this 4 minutes Chanel short film with my eyebrows raised high in complete and utter disbelief: does Karl Lagerfeld still maintain any contact with our current reality?
We all know he reads mountains of books and draws inhuman amounts of fashion collections (also signs countless collaborations, photographs evermore ad campaigns) but when it comes to reality, der Kaiser is well known for his incendiary wisdom. And that special wisdom must’ve been behind this wonderful piece of Chanel fantasy you can watch after the jump!
Taylor Swift’s Cleavage, White Kaufmanfranco Dress, 40 Principales Awards Spain
January 24th, 2013 by kpriss
Not a day without Taylor Swift! If yesterday we talked about her blond tresses getting even longer for Disney’s Rapunzel portrait situation, today we get to focus on yet another part of Taylor Swift’s body: her cleavage.
Remember that Donna Karan dress she was wearing at the Golden Globes this year? I wasn’t impressed with it, but that didn’t stop people from incessantly talking about it, and more specifically about a certain curves enhancement Miss Taylor might have had. Since then, there was no official report about the alleged Taylor Swift plastic surgery everyone seems to be talking about.

The Witches Of Oz: Theodora, Evanora, Glinda Cover InStyle
January 24th, 2013 by kpriss
Oz, the Great And Powerful is coming to a theater near you this year. Would you consider watching it? I would. And I’m not saying that just because I’m a fan of CGI challenges in cinematography, but also because I’m a fan of fantastic fiction. And what’s more fantastic this spring than Oz, The Great and Powerful? (OPI’s Oz, The Great and Powerful’s nail polish collection, that’s what! wink)
InStyle’s latest issue is teasing us with the great Witches of Oz: Theodora, Evanora and Glinda the Good. Rachel Weisz, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams cover the Oz InStyle issue. All too photoshopped for my taste, but a magazine’s gotta do what a magazine’s gotta do. And setting beauty standards is part of their mission so they won’t let something as petty as reality stopping them from reaching fantastic selling numbers!
Hopefully this InStyle cover work will only be exceeded by the real screen work and we will all be swept off of our feet by Sam Raimi’s glorious movie!
Check Out The $1,500 Louboutin Sneakers I Would Never Buy!
January 24th, 2013 by kpriss
Remember yesterday I was saying something about wanting an entire Belstaff wardrobe? That, for me, was the very peak of snobbery dreaming. This month (wink). And I’ll tell you why is that too: my daily roundabouts don’t stray me further than a 10 minute drive back and forth to the kids’ school & daycare. And for doing that, the most couture – ish extravagance I get to wear is a colorful scarf or a joyful hair accessory.
There too I explained one of my regular outfits for school runs. It’s in the gray – beige palette and definitely involves a pair of classic bootcut jeans. Do I feel the need to dream big, fashion – wise? At least once every month! Like reaaaally big! Like $1,500 for a pair of leather pants, that’s how big!
Or a splashy $1,500 pair of Christian Louboutin Louis Flat Python sneakers.
Justin Timberlake’s Suit & Tie: Tom Ford
January 24th, 2013 by kpriss
You may have heard that Justin Timberlake is bringing Sexy Back. Oh, that song has become such a big part of the media / urban spoken / written word that it’s really hard to go around it, especially when actually referring to Justin Timberlake.
So he’s back. His first single is ‘Suit & Tie’. It is, as you may expect, about suits and neckties. But not just any suits and most certainly not just any neckties. Tom Ford suit and Tom Ford tie, dahlings! (hit the jump to listen / watch the video!)
