The 87th edition of the Academy Awards rolled out its fabulous Red Carpet and welcomed Hollywood’s highly talented and appreciated to an exquisitely glitzy and glamorous gala. Supposedly celebrating the movies people watched and loved most this Oscars session.
As we all came to understand over the years, the film industry is so much more than ‘moving pictures’! It’s a heavy oiled machinery ruminating on special effects and illusion to create the visual magic we’re so fond of! The Red Carpet makes no difference! All the stars walking down towards the Holywood & Highland Center auditorium wearing their best outfits and shining their best skin for our entertainment – yes! For viewers attention, some ladies in attendance may have a hard time enjoying the over 3 hours long Oscars theater show because of their outfits!

Now imagine you’re going to the movies, right? And it’s hard enough to move between the chair lines and find your seat – picture Lady Gaga is seating at the beginning of the row you must enter! Oh! At least if you stumble on her dress and fall, she still has her cleaning gloves on to pick you from the floor!

Now that you made it safely past Lady Gaga’s Azzedine Alaia Couture dress, there’s Jennifer Lopez straight ahead! She’s comfortable in her seat and her dress in the two seats next to her! What a treat, huh? She even tripped on her way back from the stage as the Elie Saab Couture gown wasn’t helping her move around easily!
Hey! Look: it’s Felicity Jones! She and the seat in front of her are all dressed up in a beautiful Alexander McQueen dress! Hopefully she didn’t have much to drink on her way over, I highly doubt she can make it to the restroom on her own!
Unlike Rita Ora who is so happy to be finally seated! She’s definitely not taking that Marchesa mermaid dress anywhere! At least not without serious help! Her friendship with Jennifer Aniston is not that strong to be picked up and carried around by the Friends actress (only Emma Stone gets that treatment). Rita, don’t worry, we know that your bodyguard is there mostly for the dress! Your security secret is safe with us!

Luckily Viola Davis had to take the stage at some point (although it mustn’t have been a joyride), her Zac Posen dress definitely made some room around it! Light pink was one of the most-seen colors on the 2015 Oscars Red Carpet!
Kelly Osbourne is there too! The ample pleats on her Rita Viniers dress’ skirt is definitely a challenge for the seating area! It must be a fashion statement of some kind as fashion judge and style icon Louise Roe’s Monique Lhuillier dress is as easy to wear design as it is to pronounce its designer! Surely not trying to make your life easier while walking pass her seat in the Oscars theater!

A special mention for Blanca Blanco who is serious about making the worst dressed lists almost every year and 2015 is no exception either! Her crumpled red and black mermaid-ish number is definitely one to retain for the uncomfortable and uneasy experience for both the wearer and the onlookers. (images getty, styledotcom)

I again did not watch the Oscars I find them to be a long and tired sycophantic festival., but I do love seeing the fashion the next day.
I like none of these gowns, they are a bit much and not one of them looks comfortable in them. Oh and Lady Gaga’s Hazmat gloves are giving me cramps. ; )
Who I did love was Lupita, ScarJo, Rosemund Pike, and Emma Stone they looked lovely and Lupita’s gown was a work of art. : )
I hope that you and your family are wonderfully well Kpriss! : )
