Having the Awards Season in bloom and the Haute Couture Fashion Week happening pretty much at the same time, it’s like Heaven for Red Carpet admirers such as myself.
Zuhair Murad is a celebrity favorite when it comes to the official events wardrobe. So, naturally, I was paying attention at his Spring 2014 Couture collection, see who might wear which dress on the Red Carpet next… (and mind you, the blooming comparison was not in vain as the designer went for an entire garden with his Haute Couture garments for this season.)
Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2014 Zebra Dress
This gown looks fabulous and would undoubtedly make a fabulous appearance on any Red Carpet! The detail level is stunning, revealing sequined zebra stripes in black and silver, blended into a subtle game of glamour and timeless style.
The plunging decolete is particularly interesting as it’s not as revealing as expected, with a cut all the way down to the waist but more of a gorgeous example of seaming perfection and attention to every detail. I would lose the golden leaved belt and maybe replace it with a skinny one, in either black or silver. Who would wear this dress: Heidi Klum, Margot Robbie.

Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2014 embroidered see-through Dress
Season after season, designer after designer, each try their hand at imagining and drawing the most beautiful embroidery to sew on a see-through dress. This is yet another example of masterful execution and amazing craft. But that’s why we all love Haute Couture so much, after all!
I think the shoulder sleeve is the perfect length for a special occasion dress and I’m convinced that, if ever worn on the Red Carpet, it would most certainly be over a layer of opaque fabric in either skin-like cream, grey or even black. Who would wear this dress: Rihanna, Cate Blanchett, Elizabeth Rohm.
Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2014 Soft Pink Spaghetti Straps Dress
This is a very feminine dress, with a subtle game of sequins sewn into a zebra-like pattern. The flurry finish makes the dress look as soft as a cloud, also helping flatter the silhouette. The spaghetty straps and the not-too-revealing decolete bustier hint at a grecian dress, something the golden leaved belt would indicate as well. Who would wear this dress: Amy Adams, Isla Fisher.
Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2014 Lavender Dress
This is yet another feminine dress with a silhouette flattering finish and construction. The embroidery on the upper body looks classic and timeless, the only ‘enhacement’ is the see-through middle for a peek-a-boo game. Anyone could wear this dress, and so would their mother! (wink)

Zuhair Murad Couture Spring 2014 Embroidered Dress With Lavender Jacket
Now is this the perfect dress for classic taste ladies who don’t want to fall under the maxi-flowy dress spell but like to keep it silhouette-hugging and glamorous. The perfect mother-of-the-bride dress, if you will! The roses embroidery looks lavish and the combination of creamy and lavender is magnificent. Who could wear this dress: Emma Thompson, Margot Martingale (if it had pockets, Meryl Streep could’ve been a perfect candidate as well) (images getty, style)

Don’t like the golden band. Skip it at all the dresses. All great dresses but nothing new really right?
Miley in 2009 ways before the social media lynching looks so lovely almost like princess, a cute young princess. Let’s see how she shows up tonight at the Grammy red carpet. Maybe I’m gonna watch the red carpet and show when I’m in the mood.
Enjoy the red carpet dear editor. Hopes you will be inspired. <3 ;*
Thank you, my dearest Appollonia! <3 I hope to bring some of that inspiration back in my 'report' :)
