5 Looks Katie Holmes Would Wear, Holmes & Yang Fall 2013 Collection

Honestly, would you label Katie Holmes with a ‘style icon’ denomination? Because I wouldn’t. We know better than that. We know that the only times she was struck by the fashion lightning was when she was friends with Victoria Beckham. But those days are long gone (I’m assuming their friendship too) – Katie Holmes can’t take the style pressure on a daily basis.

But then again, she’s developing this fashion collection with her friend / stylist Jeanne Yang and they’ve boldly presented their latest creations during the New York Fashion Week. But – fear not, my friends – this is not a fashionable collection. I wouldn’t go as far as call it stylish either. It’s like Katie Holmes hosted this wardrobe wishlist presentation or personal walk – closet open doors day.

All the looks seem created around her persona. With no other trends reference or contemporary fashion boldness. From a total of 15 looks, hereby 5 I think Katie Holmes will most certainly wear. From the Holmes & Yang Fall Winter 2013 2013 Collection.

{1} the dark military coat shorter than the blue shapeless dress underneath. My Mom would wear this. So would Katie Holmes. Because she’s just as up – to – fashion – date as my Mom.

{2} the gray shirt dress with black edges. Because my Mom would wear this too. So would Katie Holmes. And to insure the longevity of the dress beyond the body shape changes, all you need is some black inserts here and there and the dress is good to go. For a lifetime!

{3} the straight dark coat & the white dress. Because my Mom loves her shapeless coats. And so does Katie Holmes. Because they’re Moms.

{4} the coral blouse & the suede pants. Because – oh, who cares anymore? These looks are so outdated and so out – of – shape, not even my dear Mom, bless her soul wouldn’t wear them! But Katie Holmes would!

{5} the coral wrap dress. Because you only need one dress for a life time. Make it a wrap dress for quick, no – fuss changes and use some shiny material inserts for extra high heels. Yeah. Such a fashionable collection! It has Katie’s name written all over it! She really needs to step up her fashion game if she wants to be taken seriously (oh, wow, what do you know – styledotcom feels the same way)!
