First time I realized Mila Kunis was going to be big in Hollywood it was at the cinema (duh!) while watching her performance alongside the brilliant Denzel Washington in The Book of Eli. Where she is today – well needless to say, everyone associates her with Black Swan. Since Aronofski’s masterpiece, Mila Kunis is regarded as one of the most talented young actresses today. And praised as such.
Naturally, fashion houses came running into Mila’s direction, eager to speak to the young generation’s stylish heart. Seeing her advertising moment for the house of Dior is pretty surprising, to be honest. I loved Marion Cotillard’s Dior ads so much, I wouldn’t have associated them with another actress.
However, this ad campaign, photographed by Mikael Jansson (it actually looks like this Jansson’s photoshoots with Marion), confirms that Mila’s rising star shines high. (how do you feel about her? and her Dior Ad Campaign) Personally, I have a confession to make – I miss the old style school – personal style that doesn’t change with every movie / advertising contract. I wonder if Mila is going to find her fashion path (from jeans and tees to couture)… also: using famous faces in ad campaigns isn’t enough – Dior should try different approaches instead of recreating pretty much the same poses with different characters…

Mila Kunis. Drop-dead gorgeous PLUS articulate and witty, in English her second-language.
So bright, so pretty…Sigh…
…..and alas her beauty is photoshopped to death…..such a shame!!!
As I have read Mila did not replace Marion. Mila is the face for the Miss Dior bag while Marion continues to be the face for Lady Dior bags.
I don’t see much difference either because at first I thought it was Marion…..
*for Lady Dior bags*
Yes, e. varden; my second language is a mess and my….never mind… ;)
Gorgeous girl. Didn’t know who she was until she came to my attention on an American talkshow but I found her so fresh, pretty and funny I liked her instantly. Isn’t she of Russian origin? Anyway these pictures sadly don’t do her justice at all and its even boring. Looks like early Dior ads Marion Cotillard did after winning her Oscar. Really its about time Dior broke the mould.
I really like Mila!
She can be funny and serious and is very talented!
I think that it is suitable that she is doing Miss Dior for she looks like she and Marion could be sisters! : )
Dollybird, yes Mila is from Russian origin; the now independent Ukraine. She was like 6/7 years old when her parents left Ukraine for a life in the US. Being Jewish was not easy in that region. As is well known I assume?
Mila must be nice and a fun girl since she accepted that date with a Sgt. Marine Soldier to escort him to the Marines Ball. She’s a good sport. So it’s not that difficult to like her :)
Riana – Ah yes now I recall her accepting that date to the Marine’s Ball. Indeed what a good sport & fun geste. I hope she remains that way & keeps her well oiled ego intact. We know how Hollywood can be a b*tch.
