At first, I was convinced I was seeing double. Undoubtedly one of the many consequences of running a four children household. I checked again. And again. Nop. It’s definitely not me as the unusual sighting has been reported again, for a third time.
Carey Mulligan, my dahlings, is on the cover of French Elle magazine. And on the cover of Glamour Germany December 2011. Which sounds great as Carey is one of my favorite young actresses. The only trouble is, these two above mentioned covers are identical to Vogue US October 2010 cover. I mean… identical to the point of being the very same image, photographed in 2010 by Peter Lindbergh. How did this happen, why?(click the picture for larger image)

Maybe the photographer owns the images and not the magazine, or maybe they are under the same publishing umbrella and as long as it is a different country the same photo can be used?
It could’ve been the perfect explanation – that they’re all under the same corporation’s umbrella. But no – Glamour and Vogue are Conde Nast whilst Elle is Hearst.
